Super cute, woman owned, awesome-homemade-bread bakery and cafe!  Their pink-van design wallpaper covers the front part of the store while the rest is the working kitchen.  I came here for a baguette baking class last night, a pretty unique experience where for 2 hours we learned as much about bread with hands on experience mixing, shaping, resting, folding and of course eating everything we made!  The class was held in the kitchen, a few of us attended and led by the owner and one of her colleagues. We went home with a bag of fresh baguettes and our own dough that we can bake.
The store/cafe is super cute, they pack a lot in to their smallish space, but their menu is bursting with so many options of baked goods.

Come to learn how to make bread or buy really good fresh bread!

I ordered my birthday cake, and I was so excited! However, when I went to pick it up, the people who were working were not friendly. I should have checked the cake before walking home. I paid extra for floral decorations on the cake. When I got home, I opened the cake box to find a couple pieces of what looked like shrub on top of a cake. It looked absolutely nothing like what was advertised online. I called and asked about the flowers (with the caveat that I understood the decorations would be seasonal and not everything was always available) but the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and told me that the cost included the labor to put the flowers on the cake (the floral decorations advertised looked amazing and seem to include labor costs). I asked if I could have the floral part refunded since there were no flowers on my cake and she said no. She was incredibly unfriendly and completely unhelpful, other than telling me I should have specified in the note section if I wanted something specific. I did not want anything specific, I just wanted some petals and bulbs. Additionally, I thought specifying that I wanted flowers on my floral decoration would have been redundant or rude but apparently you can never be too careful. They emailed me a follow up two hours later to refund the floral decoration. However, now I have such a horrible taste in my mouth from the experience that I don't want to serve the cake at my party.

Anyway. Don't order your birthday cake from here unless you want to deal with disappointment and unfriendly bakers.

$4 for a hot cross bun, $20 for half a dozen and $40 for a dozen. The size of their hot cross bun might be the largest among all five bakeries I’ve tried in NYC. The dough was apparently denser than others, loaded with big pieces of raisins and candied citrus. If you like denser bread you might like their buns. The honey glaze brushed on top is enjoyable. The golden brown surface is slightly crispy.

I don’t know why but the white cross icing fainted on my bun though.

Beautiful pies. Love the super flaky crust.  Could just eat that alone!   Great flavor combos - biggest hit were the pecan and ginger, miso caramel custard among the pies we bought.  We will be back!

What an adorable and cozy bakery Partybus Bakeshop is. We really enjoyed our time having breakfast on a weekend morning.

The options of their pastries weren’t in a great variety but pretty decent. We got an Almond Chocolate Croissant and Sticky Bun with a cup of iced coffee. Both the croissant & bun tasted delicate and satisfying.

However, it’s overall a little bit pricy in our opinions with their portion. We would recommend people who live in the neighborhood but it’s not worth a detour.
