We loved it.  The place was recommended by a colleague in NYC who said it is her favorite restaurant in the city.    Everyone was warm and welcoming.   We ordered a bunch of appetizers and pastas to share and then split some entrees.   The pastas (and risotto) may be the best I’ve ever had, and I recommend splitting as many you can.   Desserts were fantastic too.   Really lovely evening, will definitely add it to the must visits when we come back to visit.

*An NYC Must Visit!

We were warmly treated by coat check and then moved inside. Joanna then took it to the next level with her welcome and attentiveness. Just when it couldn’t get better, our server John recommended and delivered the most incredible meal. From the meatballs to the steak to the olive cake. All was unbelievable. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday so great.

Alfred Portale has done it again!! From Gotham to Portale, food, ambience, and service were superb… Menu items are focused more on Italian cuisine with the flair, and expertise of Portales style… None of the dishes disappoints, as they were all spectacular from appetizers to desserts… Highly recommended and a must if you are in the neighborhood….

This is an amazing restaurant that well deserves it's high rating. The food is perfection, we loved the kale salad and crudo as a starter. For main, the pasta with lobster and branzino were excellent. We ended the night with the olive oil cake, which was a perfect finish. The service was 5 star + very friendly and amazing wine recommendation. The vibe was casual and chic at the same time. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Such a good, high end Italian spot. Food is delicious, service is excellent. Can’t ask for much more than this. Not a break the bank price point either which is very nice.
