It's a very cute and intimate spot, it's also great for small groups. We really enjoyed the live band! The service was great considering how busy they were. The food and drinks were  good. We had the gnocchi and the cheese steak egg roll. I would definitely go back again!

Our experience throwing our baby shower/ baby party at Prohibition was nothing less than exceptional. Both of us working in the hospitality industry most of our lives, we both have incredibly high standards of service and the Prohibition team not only met them but went above and beyond to make sure our day was special and went off without a hitch. Kayly the party manager was great to work with I emailed her a ton with my vision and wants and needs food wise etc and not only did she execute with her team, everything looked and tasted perfect. From the moment my guests walked in with the staff coat checking to every bartender interaction people felt warm and welcomed and it was so nice. I feel like this event space is a hidden GEM of the upper west side amazing for any event because they transformed the place just for us. I could not recommend this venue more highly if I tried and like I said we are New York Hospitality vets who are hard to please. Truly thank you so much for making our day as beautiful and seamless as it was and can't wait to host something else here.

I love this place ! I had a really great night here with my partner. We have a reservation for 11:00, the staff was super accommodating and took us in early and even sat us down at a table so we can enjoy the band a little earlier. It was cold outside and the front door guy was so nice and let us wait inside. This place is always a fun night , great bands , staff, and atmosphere! Definitely check it out , I know we will definitely be back. Great spot for a fun chill evening, thank you !

As the name suggests, this bar-restaurant is modeled after a 1920’s prohibition era speakeasy, with an actual speakeasy. So nice for a refreshing Sunday evening drink. Also got so see great love performance by musician Arthur Latin and Tommy.

Nestled in the back is also a cozy speakeasy- didn’t get to go inside but seems really nice.

We came here specifically for jazz music but were disappointed.. It was super noisy and acoustic was not good. I'd say the singer was not great either.

Food and drinks were good.   Good place if you want to hangout as it's near the central park

OMG - denna plats är stor! Maten var fenomenal. Förrätterna Shishito Peppers, Tonfisk Poke chips, Lollipop lammkotletter och arvegods morötter skulle dö för! Älskade livemusiken. Utmärkt service och chefen, Miranda var mycket hjälpsam! Detta kommer att vara vår vanliga plats varje gång vi besöker NYC!

Jag har tittat på kommissarielistor över federala fängelser utan anledning! Jag sa till min syster att LA:s fängelse har matzo i polishuset vilket jag tycker är galet! Jag råkar följa reglerna och fängelse är en dålig plats att vara på men polismästaren är rolig att titta på! Jag går på detta rant eftersom jag vet att förbud var ett brott tillbaka på 1900-talet! ! Jag var på lägerträff med ett gäng av mina campare och de vuxna ville gå ut efter på bar så jag följde med dem! Vi hittade det här stället och jag fick en hård cider och Mac och ostbitar! Min chef var lite vild och bjöd mig på en drink förra sommaren så jag återgäldade tjänsten och köpte honom en Margarita! Allt var mycket bra och det var en levande musikakt!

Efter att ha hittat förbud på nätet (och aldrig ha varit där! ) Jag hade min födelsedagsfest där förra helgen och kunde bara inte ha varit nöjdare med rummet, personal, mat, dryck, atmosfär. . EVERYTHING. 

Från mitt första samtal med Michael var varje interaktion varm, vänlig och professionell. Kayly var så hjälpsam! 

Vi hade en öppen bar och passerade appar i bakre rummet med 50 gäster i närvaro. Priset var rimligt och per objekt, inte per person, ett verkligt fynd i NYC! Avtalsvillkoren var rättvisa. Drinkarna var utsökta och Jess begränsade oss inte till menyn. Krabba kakor och mac & cheese pops var särskilt väl - mottogs. Jag fick ta in min egen dessert med endast en mycket rimlig avgift bifogas och vi hade full tillgång till ljudsystemet och mikrofonen. 

Även om jag inte kan prata med en stor matsal erfarenhet, kan jag berätta för dig att om du letar efter en festplats, kommer du inte hitta en bättre på Manhattan. 

Tack till Michael och hans team för en kväll jag aldrig glömmer. Alla stjärnor.

Förbud i NYC är en pärla för dejtkvällar, som erbjuder en livlig men intim upplevelse. Baconbiffen är ett måste - prova, och livemusiken ger en otrolig känsla till kvällen. Det är en bra plats som par är säker på att njuta av.

Förbud har levande musik varje kväll, så det är ett bra alternativ för alla typer av situationer, från första datum då du vill undvika besvärliga småprat till snabba solodrycker när du dödar tid.

Ta några drinkar i baren eller beställ mat. När du lyssnar på ganska bra livemusik. Det är min väg att träffas med en stor grupp eller en rolig datumkväll!

Levande musik här är på punkt! Se till att du ringer fram och gör en bokning så att du kan sitta och dansa med lätthet! Mat och dryck är utsökt!

Har inte varit på middag, men har varit många gånger för sin glada timme och även senare natt levande musik. Det kan bli trångt för musiken, men det är en del av det roliga! Det är alltid en rolig tid och jag fortsätter att gå tillbaka.

Vi släppte in här för en snabb drink innan vi äter middag i en närbelägen restaurang. Jag skulle vilja ha stannat längre! Vi satt i baren som platsen blev upptagen och vi hade inte något att äta. Baren personal var jättekul och vi lämnade motvilligt som ett band förberedde sig för att spela.

Riktigt trevlig atmosfär här och där var en kille som spelade gitarr och sång som gav bra men inte påträngande underhållning.

NYC-atmosfär, levande musik i övre västra sidan. Mat är i genomsnitt, men du går inte dit för mat. Hur som helst har det olika rätter och smaken är anständigt; billigt noggrant. -bandet som spelade var bra.

Stannade i omkring 11:30 på en lördagskväll i staden för att fånga lite musik av East Side Mix. $ 5 musik cover är en affär. Inte säker på vilken kapacitet det är för baren, men jag kan försäkra dig att de skjuter gränsen i huvudrummet, med övervåningsbryggan lite av en pusterum.

Först och främst är Eastside Mix den verkliga affären, och när de spelar måste du sluta, för det här bandet är fenomenalt. Stor fest melodier från år tidigare, med enastående sång och en fantastisk närvaro.

Drycker är inte galen NYC prissatta och bartendere är ganska snabba och un-NYC - pretentiös. Jag tror $ 20 för en vodka / läsk och en öl.

Vi stannade några uppsättningar och när vi lämnade runt 1: 30 am, baren var fortfarande full.

Gick här två gånger på vår resa till New York. Älskade det! Bra musik, bra drycker, fantastisk personal. Fantastisk atmosfär. Kändes som om vi minglade med lokalbefolkningen.

Jag deltog i en händelse här. Jag trodde att baren gjorde ett mycket bra jobb. Personalen var riktigt trevlig och mycket hjälpsam till både värdarna av evenemanget och gästerna. Maten var bra - - de jätte pretzels var en riktig hit! - - väldigt bra konsistens, med en krispig utsida och fluffig inuti. Andra bar behandlar var också läckra. Utrymmet var rent och gamla filmer spelades i bakgrunden. Det är ett mörkt utrymme, så det finns nog bättre alternativ för dagdrinkning, men det var en rolig plats med bra service, och jag skulle inte tveka att återvända.

Förbud mot kom rekommenderas till oss av en lokal så efter att se en show på Broadway, vi bestämde oss för att stanna till i för en sängfösare. Det var fredag kväll och de hade en liveband-jag glömma namnet, men de uppenbarligen spela där regelbundet. Det var verkligen trångt och högljutt där inne så vi valde att sitta utanför. Vi fortfarande kunde höra musik och bandet var jättebra. Vi beställt aptitretare och cocktails, som alla var smaskens. Trevlig och tillmötesgående service as well. Och fantastiska människor på valar sitta av den trottoaren. Bara en härlig upplevelse på alla sätt. Vi skulle definitivt åka här igen när tillbaka i staden.
