We had our daughter's 30th (+1) birthday celebration at the Sony Hall Speakeasy private party room on March 8. It was a great event and we loved the intimacy of the Speakeasy room, where you entered through a hidden door behind one of the bars in the music hall.  The food was excellent and Peter did a super job behind the bar!  All the guests commented on how unique a room it was and the vibe was a perfect fit for what we were looking for.  It was a pleasure working with Olivia to set this party up and she did a great job working with us on the food and beverage packages.  If you are looking for a unique venue to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend checking the Sony Hall speakeasy out.  Based on how our event went, I think you'll love it!

Attended the Candlelight series and it did not disappoint.  Great ambiance.  Staff was professional and courteous.  Drinks were on point. The Tejuana Lemonade did not disappoint!!!! There isn't a bad seat in the house, however, arrive early for the best seats. I would attend another event here.

My boyfriend and I attended the Candelight Concert: Best of Hip Hop at Sony Hall presented by Fever. We had tickets for Section A. The process to get in went smoothly. You have to go down some stairs to get into the venue. It’s nice. The staff were friendly, helpful, professional, and courteous. The musicians were phenomenal! The venue does serve food and drinks for purchase. The only reason I only gave the experience 4 stars is because the setup for seating was way too crowded. I couldn’t move in my chair without bumping the person behind and next to me. My boyfriend who is tall had to sit on the chair at the end of the table because there was no way he could fit on the inside. Every time wait staff passed by the aisle he had to turn aside to let them through because of how close the tables and chairs were set up. The food was good. Drinks made well. Overall a good experience.

The venue itself is very cool. From entering down a winding flight of stairs with exposed old brick & concrete to the design of the room.  It has an old world feel and is welcoming & inviting.  The problem starts with the table arrangements. Too small not sturdy chairs crammed around too small tables.  I was here to see Drew & Ellie Holcomb. Once everyone was seated it was impossible to move your chair.  Depending on where you were sitting people (both guests & servers) were constantly bumping into you.  The way the tables were set up some people had their back to the stage and either had to turn their heads to see or if you had room, you could turn your chair.  A large group came in at 7:55 and was split among the tables in front of us. Because they were late they were ordering drinks/food and the waiter kept blocking my view.  Also, the waiter was talking so loudly to them.  It interrupted the experience.   Also, trying to settle tabs as the last few songs were being performed was hugely distracting. Food & drink quality was good. A little high in price for my taste.
Over all cool venue but I’d only go for my absolute favorites. Not worth it to be crammed in like sardines & have the experience lessened by not being fully able to see the stage.

Absolutely beautiful venue. I especially loved the Candelight Concert I attended there. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the unexpected $20 required minimum per person on top of the concert tickets. I still would have attended the concert, but didn't like feeling blindsighted by this. Granted I may have missed some fine print about it. If it I did, I'd give it 5 stars.
