I went today around 1 pm and waited less than 5 minutes for a table. I got the beef pancake and spicy chicken soup and omg… amazing. The hand pulled noodles were so fresh, chicken was tender and the beef pancakes were so warm and savory. Both dishes tasted delicious with their chili oil. I cannot wait to go back!

Excellent food quality, friendly staff, and loved the Big Tray Chicken dish. The Seafood Hui Mei soup itself is extremely flavorful too, and the Beef Hui Mei had chunks of good tender beef with the noodles and bok choy.

Only down side is that the restaurant is very small and you are squeezed almost shoulder to shoulder with other tables and chairs and there’s barely enough room to walk in and out. Otherwise, it’s a great affordable location for noodle soup!

Cash only and small dining space but the food is great!
My friend and I split the spicy chicken tray with plenty to take to go, it was worth the price. Probably not a universal reaction but my mouth went numb from the sichuan peppercorns but the chicken was so good 🙏🏽

IF YOU DO ONE THING IN NYC, COME HERE. It is the best Asian food I have ever had in my life (and I’ve been to Asia 4 times!!) get the spicy big tray chicken with plain hummei, and spice scallion sauce pork dumpling. Absolutely incredible 10/10

I mitt senaste besök i NYC besökte jag på en kall och våt vardag eftermiddag. Platsen är mycket liten och kompakt och sitter förmodligen runt 200 personer över 5 eller 6 bord. Platsen var full och det här stället har långa köer under toppperioder - chansen är att du sannolikt kommer att behöva dela ett bord som kundens omsättning om den är full.

Jag kom för "Big Tray Chicken" men insåg snabbt (efter att ha sett det angränsande bordet har detta tjänat) att det inte fanns något sätt att jag skulle klara det här. Jag besökte igen på en annan natt och hade dras nudlarna igen. Håll dig definitivt till nudlarna om du kommer hit - det är deras specialitet. . . . . . . . något annat är att gå till Mcdonalds och beställa sallad!

Hade den stora facket kyckling, lamm huimei och soppa dumplings. Alla var mycket smakfulla och tillfredsställande. Tjänsten var effektiv och du kan BYOB med ett köp på $ 25. Kul plats för en billig middag.

Vi älskade det. Min syster och jag älskar att prova ny autentisk mat och vi kom till rätt ställe.
Vi ville försöka allt på menyn men det var så mycket mat. Vi beställer kryddig stor bricka med kyckling med nudlar, fläskdumplings och fläskpannkakor. Allt var så bra. Den kryddiga brödkyllan med nudlar minde på kryddorna i en hetpanna som jag hade när jag var i Kina. Nudlarna var alla handgjorda och var så läckra.

Det är en mycket liten plats och det kan bli ganska upptagen. Men vi kom vid rätt tid så det var inte en väntan. Om du verkligen vill ha lite autentisk kinesisk mat, kom och prova den här platsen. Det finns massor av mat att prova, men om du vill ha äggrullar är det inte platsen för dig.

Den unga damen som tog reservationer var mycket kapabel och lyckades publiken vänta utanför. Nu medan denna mysiga plats har autentisk mitten av kinesisk matlagning, tyckte jag inte om det. Lammsoppan var inte min sak. Pretty Gamey, Den stora kycklingen, deras signaturfat hade starka starka kryddor som blåste mig bort. Gilla att äta en bukblad typ av makt. Så jag skulle inte gå tillbaka. Som sagt, om du gillar autentisk, så kanske det här är din plats. Jag hade menat att besöka Spicy Village ett tag så jag var så glad när min vän föreslog att vi gick andra dagen. Restaurangen är gömd bredvid en park och mycket liten och smal inuti. Vi besökte klockan 6 på en lördag, och som förutspåddes var det cirka 5 personer som väntade på ett bord. För en grupp av fyra av oss handlade det om en 20 minuters väntan, och vid tiden vi satte sig väntade omkring 10 personer. Medan vi väntade emellertid - och jag är inte säker på om det här beror på att mina vänner pratar kinesiska - kunde vi placera vår order så att när vi satt satt det omkring 30 sekunder innan maten kom fram (vi svälter). Naturligtvis hade vi Big Spicy Chicken (faktiskt levde upp till hype - mycket fuktig och flavorful, lätt kryddad, på den oljigare sidan, till och med smakade som lamm ibland). Vi hade också läckra fläsk scallion pannkakor, som var krispiga och mycket välsmakande. Vi kom hit den första natten efter att ha flugit i 40 timmar. . . vi ville ha något varmt och gott och gott.

Mat var läckra, soppa dumplings, fläsk dumplings och scallion pannkaka. Restaurangen rymmer bara 20 personer, men personalen tar din beställning medan du väntar och den är redo minuter efter att du har satt. Skulle älska att prova några av de andra objekten vid nästa besök.

Folk älskar att klaga ibland på dessa recensioner som om de var experter på kinesisk mat. Efter att ha vuxit upp i LES och efter att ha mycket starka band med kinesiska rätter, skulle jag säga kryddiga village gör ett utmärkt jobb att tjänstgöra utsökt mat så billigt.

Om du är ute efter för en fin à la carte erfarenhet sedan gå till ett 4 stjärnigt restauranger det's honung, mamma/pop matställe och varje gång jag har gått över de år de kryddiga kyckling och den nudlar har varit lagade till perfektion.

Om det inte kryddiga nog, här är ett tips, satte mer av kryddiga pepper olja på den eller berätta för dem som du önskar det till spicy brinner det din tunga.

En nativ LES person som har sett vilken framgång den här lilla stället, jag bara glad för det och hoppas att det inte förlora det litet hål i väggen magic.
