Went there with my friends.
Lots of fun!! I would definitely go back.
Sometimes the dj is not as fun as always, but when he plays Latin music the crowd goes crazy.
The atmosphere it’s fun as well, original decorations and the lighting it’s beautiful.

The restaurant is beautiful. we tried a couple of appetizers, they were good as well as some pieces of sushi. I felt a little rush thru the night as many pp were waiting for a table. Despite we had a reservation we had to wait for about 45 min , but they have a lounge area at the entrance and a bar, we were lucky to get chairs at the bar to drink something while we wait.
staff was really friendly.

probably the worst experience in New York, after a great dinner in their restaurant, on the recommendation of the staff, I went to this night club which is right around the corner, when I arrived at the entrance, I immediately saw that something was happening, the manager or whoever was arguing with two men at the entrance, I heard that he was asking them for money at the entrance, which, according to the staff of their restaurant, they don't pay.. after a long discussion, they gave it to him.. after that, the girls entered without being disturbed and when it was my turn he asked me for $150, after I told him that I didn't have any money in cash, it was already on apple pay, he told me to get lost, I politely asked him to let me go a few more times, I tried to show him pictures from the restaurant and said that I had a nice experience, he walked towards me, got in my face, I told him not to do that, that I would publish everything, he just continued and called me a coward, which people responded to they laughed out of assurance..

The service and the food was  good , maybe the only bad its that we were for early dinner and the lights were very low,  how you expect someone to eat in the darkness 🤔, the drinks was just ok ..

I recently had a disappointing experience at Tao Nightclub that frustrated and disheartened me. As a woman trying to enjoy a night out, I was turned away simply for wearing sneakers! Please note that I am a woman of color!

As I approached the entrance, I noticed that the promoter on duty was particularly rude and dismissive. He made a snap judgment about my footwear and refused to let me in, despite several other guests being allowed entry in similar sneakers. It was baffling to see the inconsistency in how people were treated based on what they were wearing. It felt incredibly unfair and discriminatory, as if the rules were not being applied equally.

The atmosphere at Tao is supposed to be vibrant and welcoming, but my experience at the door felt anything but that. I felt judged and unvalued as a patron, simply based on my choice of shoes. It’s disheartening to encounter such behavior in a place that prides itself on being a premier nightlife destination.

I hope the management at Tao can review their entry policies and ensure that all guests are treated fairly, regardless of their attire. Everyone deserves to feel welcomed and respected, and it’s crucial for establishments like these to foster an inclusive environment for all guests.
