Spending time in NYC and with the rain falling decided to eat local and chose Tavola.  Great choice.

My sister and I both ordered the Margherita Pizza and enjoyed the dish.  The crust is crispy and full of flavor, the tomato sauce was fresh and just the right consistency and the cheese had flavor topped with fresh basil.  Great pizza.

My partner ordered the Gnocchi with a Gorgonzola sauce and said the gnocchi was tender and not too heavy and the sauce was creamy but not too rich.

Overall, great meal.  The restaurant is small and crowded which means the food has to be good and the service is excellent.

Highly recommend.

The location is easy to find and I reserved online which makes it easier. The restaurant is pretty small inside with lots of tables close together. It was very dark inside so I had to use a flashlight to read the menu. Mladenka was our server and she was nice difficult to understand at times but nice. Just as an FYI they don’t have a kids menu and when you do order spaghetti and meatballs for your children it’s very expensive. Pizza would be your best option. Also if you want bread, it’s $10 something we didn’t know. I did get arancine which was cold inside, obviously frozen then reheated which isn’t good.  Overall the food was ok. You can see what we ordered on the receipt. Overall the meal was ok.  Would I return - maybe.  The bathrooms need a bit of cleaning and upkeep.

Walked in without a reservation and was seated as a party of 1 with kindness, not like an inconvenience. The BEST gluten free pizza I have had in the 8 years I’ve had this restriction. Absolutely delicious and toppings were gourmet- wish I was able to have it every night!!!!

Awesome Italian restaurant with staff that went above and beyond to make it special. Shout out Costa!!! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance. The menu had an incredible selection of authentic Italian dishes, the pasta was rich with flavour and the sauces were rich and perfectly balanced.

What truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff became our friends by the end of the night making our dining experience was unforgettable. This restaurant is a must-visit!

We took a chance on this place with three toddlers in our group. They quickly accommodated us on a Saturday night. The staff were friendly, attentive and kind. The food was good and everyone's one favorite was the Tiramisu.

Fantastisk Italienska i Hells Kitchen! Vi var i stan för en dag, såg en show på Lincoln Center och besökte vårt barnbarn på NYU. Vi ville Italienska lokalt och Ravila var precis runt hörnet från vårt Hotel Crowne Plaza. Enkel bokning, dök rätt in. Maten och drycken var underbar! Vi hade arancini aptitretare, bra cocktails, utmärkt Service! Den vedeldade pizzaugnen lämnar en mumsig doft, så jag åt pizza till middag medan Hubs åt kyckling! Båda underbara! Toppade med Espresso till! Så glad att hitta denna plats, rekommenderar starkt! !

Vi anlände utan reservation, efter att ha bokat en hotellrestaurang runt hörnet som inte serverade mat. 
Vår servitris var lysande. Vi kunde inte beställa en pizza eftersom det hade varit en galen storm och pizzaugnen var ur Service. Men de andra menyalternativen var bra, så det gjorde inget. 
Utsökt vin (veckans specialare) och snabb men inte stressad Service. 
Historien om denna plats är otrolig - tenntak, luftkonditionering, etc. Det känns som om du sitter i New Yorks historia. 
Det var vår sista lunch i NY innan vi flög tillbaka till London, och det var en perfekt avslutning på vår semester.

Vi hade öronmärkt Tavola som en plats att äta middag medan du bor i New York. När vi kom fram var det fullt upp, så vi hade tur att vi hade bokat bord i förväg. När vi först satte oss flyttade vi isär de två, mycket små fyrkantiga borden som vår familj hade tilldelats, för att ge oss mer utrymme när vi åt. Så snart hon såg detta, flyttade kvinnan (som var vår servitris för hela natten) dem tillbaka och sa att hon "behövde dem tillsammans" utan någon uppenbar anledning. Ett annat problem med sittplatser var att det fanns en väggmonterad luftkonditionering ovanför vårt bord som ofta droppade på min arm. Vi tittade på menyerna, och alla bestämde sig för att äta pizza. När jag beställde frågade jag om de kunde ta bort en topping från en av förrätterna, men servitrisen vägrade blankt. Detta satte verkligen tonen för resten av kvällen, eftersom jag insåg att interaktionerna med denna servitris inte skulle vara trevlig. Jag kände mig då oförmögen att begära något som extra pålägg på min pizza av rädsla för att bli avskedad. Vi förblev dock artig och försökte njuta av kvällen. När maten kom var det mycket trevligt - det var bra att ha äkta italiensk mat i hjärtat av New York. Men vid varje interaktion med servitrisen verkade hon oförskämd, som om hon hade fattat en omedelbar motvilja mot oss att hon inte kunde bry sig om att gömma sig. Totalt sett maten var bra, men kundservicen förstörde upplevelsen.

Vi hade inte bokat men poppade in för lunch som en familj på 5 . Servitrisen var härlig och kocken superb. Vi hade härlig bord nära framsidan av restaurangen. Vi hade den fasta menyn och maten var utsökt. Rekommenderar starkt.

Vi åt middag efter en matiné min son och barnbarn fångade dramat hem från penn station. Bra service och mycket god middag den pistagetäckta gelato var en stor hit

Kvaliteten på maten mycket bra. 
Enda downsize är att de kramar människor i utrymmet och räkningen kommer snabbt [innan du ber om det] gör att du känner dig som om du är på lite av ett transportband / omsättning.

Mycket genomsnittlig mat . Kyparen var oförskämd och ovänlig och krävde dricks . Stöter aldrig på någon som kräver dricks någonsin i något land

Vårt hotell rekommenderade denna restaurang som var i närheten. Jag önskar att vi hade tänkt att göra en bokning men vi satt i baren. Inga problem. Servicepersonalen var otroligt uppmärksam. Vi älskade alla våra rätter men pappardelle bolognese var av denna värld. Aglianico del vulture var ett lent härligt rött vin. 10 / 10 rekommenderar för äkta italiensk upplevelse på NYC.

Rekommenderas av hotellet - härlig lunch för min son och jag . Uppmärksam personal , utsökt mat och precis vad vi behövde . 

Uppskattade verkligen servitrisen som sa att en flaska kolsyrat vatten kostade 11 dollar (lite dyrt) så valde något annat istället!

Inledande intryck var bra - servern var mycket vänlig och vi fick ett bord för 4 utan bokning. Det gick dock utför strax därefter. Vi hade frågat om två vänner - som redan ätit någon annanstans och inte behövde dricka - kunde följa med oss. Resten av oss åt och betalade ett orimligt belopp för att göra det ($ 55 för en flaska genomsnittligt vin är helt enkelt galen) . Servern sa att detta skulle vara bra och de kunde sitta med oss. Om vi inte hade haft det här alternativet hade vi gått någon annanstans. 

Våra vänner kom inte långt efter att vi beställt och satt med oss. Strax efter att vår mat anlände - pizza från en pizzaugn som var bra, men inget anmärkningsvärt - fick vi veta att servern hade "talat med sin chef" och hade fått veta att de andra två skulle behöva åtminstone beställa en drink för att stanna. 

Detta var helt enkelt skandalöst. Restaurangen var halvtom och blev tystare. Jag tror att de såg en chans att försöka tvinga våra vänners hand och skaka ner dem på pengar, trots serverns första försäkran att de kunde ansluta sig till oss. Samma server vänlighet försvann så fort hon såg våra ansikten. Våra vänner lämnade omedelbart, och allt som uppnåddes av en restaurang med dyr mat och dryck och skrämmande attityd, är att uppmuntra deras praxis att kallas ut offentligt. Vi skulle aldrig återvända hit, och vi skulle råda försiktighet om du besöker.

Trevlig mysig plats på en kall vinternatt. Bra uppmärksam service. Måste gå glutenfri och foccacia var ganska bra. Hade vendettapizzan och vildsvinskorven hade gott om smak men basen var ganska våt. Har ätit sämre glutenfri pizza men också mycket bättre (se A 25 i Melbourne Australien som hur bra en GF pizza kan vara).

Vi kom tidigt på en lördag kväll (med reservation) och satt direkt i ett litet bord för två. I själva verket är detta inte en stor restaurang och (som är sant i många NY City restauranger) kommer du att kunna höra samtal från nästa bord. Sammantaget gjorde detta rummet verkar ganska högt. Det var också ganska mörkt där inne. Men servicen och maten var bra. Min man fick Orecciette Broccoli Rabe och gillade dess vitlöksaktiga smak, även om han tyckte att korvbitarna var för små. Jag fick Petto Di Galletto, som var utsökt och bara perfekt för någon som vill äta lågt - carb på en italiensk restaurang! Det här stället var ett sista minuten-fynd, och jag tror, ett bra fynd.

Perfekt för priset. Fin tidstypisk inredning. Bra service. Ganska bra, enkel mat till ett fyndpris för NYC, dvs 18 dollar.

Servicen var vänlig och uppmärksam. Maten var fantastisk. Mycket familjevänlig. Jag rekommenderar pizzan. Lasagnen var god och tiramisu var utsökt.

Jag träffade en vän på middag här. Rummet är ganska men för högt. Jag skulle inte ha något emot om min mat smakade som absolut vad som helst. Den ruccolasallad med kronärtskockor var passable men kunde ha använt mer citron. Spagettin vongole var en styggelse. Pastan var förkokt och sedan omkokt i varmt vatten så det var som att äta en tallrik mos. Jag smakade inte vitlök, olivolja, salt eller något som liknade en smak. Musslorna ångkokades uppenbarligen separat och kastades på, och några av dem var knappt varma. Jag har ingen aning om hur det här stället fick fyra starter men jag säger dig, undvik det till varje pris. Nämnde jag att pastan kostade 27 dollar? :(

A Tavola Italian Diner

Vi stoppade henne för middag per bra recensioner, platsen på en mitt i veckan tidigt på kvällen var upptagen. Tjänsten var utmärkt och priser okej, vår enda fråga var buller, och alla fyra av oss var överens om att de hade de mest obekväma metallstolarna som skadade och tvingade oss till en obekväm sittställning.

Att växa upp i en italiensk familj kan jag berätta för vad som är en riktig bra italiensk mat, och den här söta lilla restaurangen erbjöd inte något speciellt, men Aperol Spritz. Jag hade en Aubergine Parmigiana med pasta, och var inte minnesvärd, tomatsås var intetsägande. Men det som gjorde mig riktigt upprörd var hur jag blev behandlad efter att be mig ha en drink i en annan räkning. Jag reser till jobbet och kunde inte ha alkoholhaltiga drycker i min kostnadsrapport, efter att ha insisterat på servern, som förnekade mig att chefen kom och sa att systemet inte kunde dela upp räkningen (? ) och erbjöd inte någon lösning för det. Jag lämnade mig fullständigt avskynad av all situation. Hoppas de förstår att de måste vara trevliga med alla kunder om de vill ha dem tillbaka.

Caminhando por NY, som är en av de bästa restaurangerna i Italien. Pizza! Atendimento Timo, Ambiente tranquilo. A decora o t pica e os gar ons educad ssimos. Grata surpresa.

Går igenom NY, upptäcka gator och platser, vi stöter på denna enkla och mysiga italienska restaurang. Pizza! Bra service, tyst miljö. Inredningen är typisk och servitörer är mycket artiga. Tack.

Vi bad om vår servitör att servera oss deras bästsäljande pasta och pizza och vi blev inte besvikna. maten var fantastisk. de också serverade oss carbonara som var FANTASTISK! Priset är inte alltför dyrt. totalbetyg för det här stället är 9 av 10. två tummar upp för vår servitör som var mycket tillmötesgående. :)
