Excellent.
My wife and I love to travel and try new places to eat. She had the Lobster and Crab Cake with Lemon Basil Aioli. I had the Filet Mignon. Both were excellent.  The Filet was one of the best I've ever had. The service is exceptional. I highly recommend making plans to have a nice dinner here.

I typically only give reviews when things are excellent... Well, this time, the entire experience exceeded excellent! From the ease of making a reservation to the greeting and atmosphere upon entering Capital Grille to the exit with a sincere thank you from the hosts on our way out the door.
This dining experience was fantastic!
Colton was our server and he had the amazing ability to deliver a fine dining level of service along with a friendly and comfortable delivery that our 6-year old granddaughter felt seen, heard and valued as a guest.
The food, well, it was incredible!
Crab cake, Bone-in filet, lobster mac and cheese, lamb chops, and the flourless chocolate cake. Superb!
Fairly expensive and worth every penny!

This place was recommended for our anniversary dinner and it did not miss. The young lady that took our reservation was great and she took time to decorate our table for dinner.

Our server Ray from NJ was awesome and made sure we were taken care of during our dinner.

An excellent place for a dinner. I had a filet with the bone and the meat was really tasty and well cooked. The staff is very friendly and professional.

We dined here on the last night of our NYC trip and I feel like we saved the best for last.

The Capital Grille is the definition of fine dining steakhouse. From the decor to the food to the service, everything epitomizes the steakhouse experience.

Our host checked our coats and led us to our table, which was decorated with some confetti to commemorate our daughter's birthday...they even hand wrote a note with birthday wishes for her.

We started off with some cocktails, I had their signature Stoli Doli pineapple martini, the wie had a cosmopolitan, and the daughter ordered a Midori sour. The martini and cosmo were poured tableside, a nice touch. The cocktails were cold, tasty, and potent...exactly as we preferred.

Appetizers consisted of the lobster and crab cake as well as their Caesar salad. The Caesar was executed perfectly but the standout was the lobster and crab cake...very little filler, just full of delicious seafood.

For our main courses we had the 14oz aged strip steak au poivre, the 10oz filet finished with beef tallow butter, and the 10oz filet Oscar style. Sides consisted of the soy glaze brussel sprouts with applewood smoked bacon lardons and their potatoes au gratin. All of the steaks were prepared exactly as we ordered (medium rare) and were tender and delicious. Notably, the steak oscar was topped with a huge pile of crab (perhaps as large as the steak itself). This was a decadent, perfectly prepared meal.

Dessert consisted of thier crème brûleé, their signature coconut crème pie, and thier cheesecake, with an added bonus of their VIP chocolate cake as a birthday surprise for our daughter. All of their desserts were decadent and delicious  ut the standout may have been their cheesecake which was both rich and light due to their use of Ricotta cheese in addition to regular cream cheese. The VIP chocolate cake was also a favorite...so much so that we took the leftovers for breakfast 😁.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention our server Ray who made the whole experience a very enjoyable and comfortable one. His knowledge of the food and it's preparation were impeccable, but his demeanor, attitude, and personalty are his true assets.

I highly recommend The Capital Grille for anyone seeking a true steakhouse experience and values the quality of the food and the hospitality of the staff over other factors.
