We came in as a walk in and had an excellent time!
We chose the chef tasting menu with wine pairing and everything was delicious. The signature egg on egg on egg was a highlight and the wine was paired perfectly with every course.
Hope, our waitress, was a particular delight. She was friendly, informative, highlighted important points on the menu, and was just a pleasure to engage with. The Modern is lucky to have her!

Exceptional and creative. I was lucky to be part of a private event and enjoyed a cleverly designed tasting menu and drinks seamlessly tied into the event theme. The restaurant itself has a busy scene, full of corporate midtown dinners and cocktails on a weekday night. I'd happily come back on a sunny day to enjoy the backyard of moma and the memorable food and experience. Highly recommended for any special occasion. Enjoy!

Was not overwhelmed nor underwhelmed; perhaps largely to expectation, though okay I’m leaning more on the underwhelmed side given its supposed to be a 2-star.

Service was predictable, comfortable. But ate my main among crumbs I had dropped from the fantastic sourdough just prior which were not cleaned up before my main was served. Not quite what I expected from a 2-star. But it was eventually scraped away after my main, and before the dessert was served.

Ambience was the typical luxurious modern setting, but the view to the sculpture garden turned out quite meh despite previous reviews all saying that was a highlight. Nothing spectacular.

Appetizers and mains were good; found nothing special with the eggs on eggs on eggs; the truffle pasta was good with generous truffle shavings. Best thing of the meal was the sourdough and soft butter served mid-way. The dessert was seriously underwhelming; got the key lime parfait and it tasted one dimensional; didn’t finish it.

Was overall a good experience but wouldn’t come back.

Beautifully constructed dishes with superb service meriting the restaurant’s two stars. Flavors were complex and deeply delicious. The dessert course elevated apples to a level beyond anything we have had. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with our sons (15-23yrs) who thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience.  The pastry chef even made a special cup of hot chocolate for the youngest which was AMAZING. Thank you for an experience we will cherish for years to come.

I was incredibly lucky to have reserved a kitchen table, where I had the rare opportunity to sit alone and fully immerse myself in the lively atmosphere of the kitchen. Watching the chefs work their magic and having them personally bring each dish to me was an unforgettable experience. Every dish far exceeded my expectations – I never imagined the food would be this delicious. On top of that, they even had a charming touch of offering Polaroid photos as keepsakes, which added a special and thoughtful touch to the experience. I highly recommend trying the kitchen table here – it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
