From the moment I stepped into The Roxy Hotel, I felt like royalty. The experience was seamless, luxurious, and unforgettable. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a glass of champagne—talk about a warm welcome!

When I got to my room, I was surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine and a decadent chocolate cake just waiting for me. It was such a thoughtful touch that instantly made me feel at home (but better!).

This hotel is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience. From the incredible live band performances to their in-house cinema that plays classic films, there’s always something to do. And let’s talk about Django—the on-site jazz lounge. The vibe is unmatched, transporting you to a different era with smooth tunes and a cozy, sophisticated atmosphere.

And yes… FREE breakfast. A full spread, delicious and fresh. The cherry on top!

Everything at The Roxy Hotel screams style, service, and soul. I give it a solid 10/10—I honestly can’t wait to go back. Whether you’re visiting NYC for the first time or just need a staycation with flair, this is the place to be.

I did not want to leave. I was celebrating my birthday by myself. The people at the front desk were phenomenal. They made me laugh despite me trying to find my card, and I left my charger box at home I was a wreck before I walked in that door but everything changed within a matter of seconds just by the two gentlemen’s at the front counter. They turned my frown to a smile. And I definitely appreciate it.
I honestly didn’t want to leave. I was celebrating my birthday solo, and walking in, I was a bit of a mess—But the moment I stepped into The Roxy, everything shifted.

The two gentlemen at the front desk were phenomenal. They were warm, funny, and so genuine—within seconds, they had me laughing and feeling completely at ease. They truly turned my day around and made me feel special when I needed it most.

What started off rocky turned into one of the most memorable birthdays I’ve ever had, all thanks to their kindness and energy. I’m so grateful—and I’ll definitely be back.

I even left my umbrella in the room and was able to borrow one from the front counter. Traveling by myself I am like the boy off home alone I’m always leaving something lol or get lost lol

It’s a jazz club, not a hotel - the music gets so loud in the evenings that you might as well go to the bar or for a walk as you won’t be able to sleep anyway.

I must add that music is excellent. No complaints about it.
Hotel decor is classy, rooms are spacious, well equipped and beds are very comfy.

It honestly feels like hotel designers missed physics class in school, sound can travel very far in confined spaces…. White noise emitters in rooms and hallways can do so much or rather, so little.

First time here. Person at the front desk was nice not rude or talked down to me like someone else has posted. The room was clean, bed was comfy. The room was a little warm and while we changed the temp to colder I'm not sure if that even worked.

I see a review complaining about noise but not sure what they expected considering the website makes it clear as day they have bands performing there. The room we stayed in, we could barely hear anything. Not sure if every room is equipped with it but ours had a "speaker volume" knob by the door which if you want to drown out the noise you could turn that a bit to give you some white noise.

Breakfast was good, had a steak and eggs. Wife had an avocado sandwich which she enjoyed.

I would definitely come here again. It's a chill, laid back jazzy vibe that seems to have a good night life to it.

The assistant front office manager, Roger B, was incredibly condescending and misogynistic. I can’t remember any other time where I was spoken to in such a rude manner, especially as a hotel guest! He certainly has a thing or two to learn about customer service.

The bellhops on the other hand, were fantastic. Every single one of them went out of their way for us. They were kind, polite, and accommodating.

The hotel is noisy - as each of the rooms faces out to the rotunda where the hotel restaurant plays loud music until late into the night. Bring white noise and/or earplugs if you want to get to sleep at a decent hour.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The design aesthetic was a bit gimmicky and just very, very brown. If you’re looking for a “luxury” hotel this isn’t it.

Excellent location walkable to some amazing neighborhoods.

The Roxy is an excellent location and the hotel has a great vibe. Rooms are above average size for NYC. Fun staying somewhere with emphasis on music. There is good music here every night. Food is OK but nothing special. The staff have been very friendly and helpful, special shout out to Zillah at check in for wanting to make sure everything was right. BUT.....this hotel is LOUD. It is so loud they have built in white noise with a switch in every room that helps but doesn't solve the problem. Basically, it feels like you are trying to go to bed/sleep while still at the party until 10:30pm, Sadly, it is enough of an issue I would not stay here again.
