Gluten sensitivity.

Always a good meal and local date spot with my wife.  It's a not that large a space with low lighting for an intimate vibe.  Service is reasonably good but in the summer their patio is open which spreads around the servers and slows down the responsiveness for my experience.

Gluten free pizza now uses cauliflower crust which isn't as good as the normal pizza.  The sauce and toppings are always top notch but not enough to make me get gluten free pizza from here.  The crust tastes fine and is moist, but it has an unusual thickness that will deter me from get a gluten free pizza from here again.

That aside the drinks are amazing I love the names and presentations. Salads and apps are so good too.  I really like this place.

At 8 in the am on a weekday, it was quiet and unassuming from the outside, perhaps due to the scaffolding. Once inside however, still quiet but beautiful! You can tell that later on, this place will be packed and knowing this its nice to enjoy a space during its quiet time.
The barista was very nice. Even though she was busy making other drinks, she greeted me and let me know she’d be with me soon. I was in no hurry so I sat down to enjoy the lovely atmosphere. I appreciated that she kept looking to make sure I hadn’t left. She was cool!
The coffee was great and I took a walk to the nearby park to sit, enjoy and ponder.
I was very tired having not slept the night before and the coffee gave me the energy to get through a busy morning after my ponderings. Thanks UG 🍂

It was a quaint eatery in the heights. Our waiter Jay was friendly, swift, and precise. The chicken was flavorful, juicy, and not salty. The waffle was crisp but a bit sweet for me. The pancake was fried to perfection with crisp edges. Once you bit a piece, it'll melt in your mouth. Each meal was filling. It was a really good brunch, and it lasted past 3pm. Please check this place out. You won't regret it.

The food was pretty good, I didn’t like the bacon. I don’t know if it wasn’t done all the way but it didn’t not taste good to me. However everything else was pretty good especially the pancake and the eggs

Went on a late Friday afternoon after craving pancakes (which were highly rated here) and was pleasantly surprised that the brunch menu was still a thing until 4pm Fri-Sun. I sat at the bar and Jeffrey was the best! Been staying in The Heights since January and I’m so sad I just discovered this place. 🥲

Första gången här. Platsen var lite varmt inuti. Beställ vid disken och maten levereras. Jag åt kyckling och våfflor som var en stor portion och mycket välsmakande. Personalen var mycket vänlig.

Gick med min fru och son för en kopp kaffe. Fin inredning, trevlig atmosfär, glad kassör. De fem stjärnorna är för cortadokaffe, serveras och smakar som en riktig cortado som finns i vissa sydamerikanska länder, där bra kaffe är en allvarlig fråga. Exceptionellt fynd. Annars var platsen ockuperad av ett fåtal personer som arbetade på sina bärbara datorer - - så ett bra ställe att koncentrera sig utan avbrott och ha en bra WiFi.

Vi utnyttjade en av de sista härliga höstlördagarna för att vandra runt Ft Tryon Park, tills vi blev hungriga - och sedan hittade vi Garrison. Vilken godbit! Trevlig servicepersonal, intressanta öl på kranen och måltiderna var läckra! Min kalkon med Bibb-sallad och rostat rustikt bröd var fantastiskt!

Min man och jag besökte vår dotter på söndagen för att fira hennes födelsedag, och hon valde denna restaurang för brunch. Min man och jag beställde båda kyckling och våfflor och min dotter beställde äggsmörgåsen.

Min cappuccino var som förväntat. Kycklingen var förvånansvärt krispig på utsidan och fuktig inuti. Beställningen kom med fyra bitar kyckling, som var ganska fyllande, och en välbalanserad söt och kryddig sirap och sylt.

Detta är en liten plats som lokalbefolkningen åtnjuter. Lyckligtvis kom vi precis innan de öppnade klockan 11, och på nolltid var platsen fullsatt! Tjänsten var acceptabel. Kommer definitivt tillbaka.

Utmärkta våfflor och kaffe i kombination med utmärkt service i ett hål-i-väggen-matstället. Vi blev positivt överraskade när vi träffade lokala vänner här för söndagsbrunch. Kaffet är inget annat än spektakulärt - aromatiskt, mörkt och inte bittert. Våfflorna är krispiga, lätta och åtföljs av en sidamat med blåbärskonserver. Den kärnmjölkstekt kycklingen är också lätt och krispig och inte alls fet med kyckling tillagad till perfektion - inte torr, inte fuktig. Söndagsbrunchen sätter våfflor och kärnmjölkstekt kyckling tillsammans i samma skål, men de borde finnas tillgängliga på andra dagar.

Jag har varit på UG många gånger tidigare och längtar efter deras hackade sallad. Så det var vad vi gick för på en mycket varm nite - vilket kan förklara varför restaurangen var mer trångt än vanligt - men inte trångt nog för att rationalisera vår fruktansvärda service!

Fick en fönsterhög topp! Servern kom och frågade om vi ville ha drycker; Jag sa nej och omedelbart gick hennes uppmärksamhet SOUR. "Vi vill du ha något att äta?", Frågade hon med sin bästa snarkröst. Jag beställde den hackade sallad och diskuterade sedan över en pizza så bad henne att komma tillbaka. Hon gjorde INTE men någon annan förde vår sallad. Jag förklarade att jag väntade på att beställa en pizza och ville ha hela måltiden tillsammans - kunde han snälla ta dem tillbaka. Fortfarande inget tecken på den ursprungliga servern. Samma person (som tog med sallader) fyllde på våra vattenglas och jag bad om en NA-öl. Han tog inte den beställningen så gick för att hitta vår server och förklarade också för henne om vår sallad snafu. Fortfarande inget tecken på henne. Slutligen anlände hon och tog vår ölbeställning (inte nämner beställningen snafu).

Och vi väntade. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pizza anlände inga tallrikar eller sallad. Ingen server. Sallader kom. Inga plattor, ingen server. Tallrikar anlände, ingen server. Middagen klar, ingen server. Ingen server. Ingen server.

Verkligen? Var det en personlig förolämpning för henne att vi inte beställde drycker eftersom hon säkert handlade som det. Vi beställde inget annat (vi kunde inte eftersom vår server aldrig återvände) och vi var tvungna att hitta henne för vår check. Ledsagare för middag tyckte att en dollar var för mycket; Jag lämnade 10%. Verkligen synd - jag föredrar definitivt min måltid med waaaaay mindre dålig attityd.

Vi planerade att bara ha drycker och blev frestad. Vi har haft pizza och mini calzones. Den hackade Kale sallad är också bra. I slutet överraskade servitrisen oss med gratis desserter, som var utmärkt.

Vi var glada att se en ny plats som kommer till grannskapet och äntligen hade en chans att prova det. Rummen är attraktiva på ett gammalt skolväg, med kakelgolv och några kakelväggar, resten snyggt trä. Välkommen var mycket vänlig men som platsen var helt packade vänta personal var lite distraherad och det var långa väntar på service hela måltiden. Pizzaerna var båda mycket bra och priserna är rättvisa. För oss är anledningen till att vi inte kommer att vara tillbaka den otroliga ljudnivån. Vi kunde inte höra varandra, servitören kunde inte höra oss, och det var omöjligt att prata. Utrymmet skulle vara högljudd nog på egen hand (alla hårda ytor) och sedan finns det hög musik högst upp. Så det är ett bra ställe att äta om du går med någon du inte vill prata med och bryr dig inte om att skada din hörsel.

Stor pizza och sallad. Jag älskar den hackade salladen, sötpotatissoppa (en tillfällig special) och kronärtskocka pizza. Bra ställe att läsa / arbeta under dagen också som det blir till en kafé. Precis vad höjderna behövde!

Vårt parti av fyra åt här den 18 juli 2018 baserat på stark rekommendation från vår AirBNB-värd. Han var på plats. Restaurangen har en mysig atmosfär med cool belysning. Vår servitör visade sig snabbt och tog våra dryck order. Menyn har några GF-alternativ, men ett objekt överraskade oss, en GF-calzone! Vi frågade servitören om det var för riktigt, och han bröt ut och skrattade och sa "vi skulle inte lura dig om det! ”. Så vår GF-son var tvungen att ha korvkalonen, och min andra son och jag beställde också en korvkalzon och en svamppizza. Min fru beställde trä rostade halv kyckling.

Calzones var förtjusande, GF skorpan var ljus och fläckig (GF son tittade på mig och sa nästa gång han skulle beställa 2 calzones, haha). calzones kom med en läcker tomat marinara dipping sås.

Svamppizza var läckra och inkluderade porcini grädde, vitlök, vedrökad och rakad svamp, mozzarella, parmesan och stekt örter. Pie size är ca 12 ", bra för att dela med oss.

Veden rostade 1/2 kyckling var stor, med krispig hud och fuktigt kött.

Sammantaget var GF calzones stjärnorna av måltiden!

Vår flik med en runda cocktails var $ 107 före gottgörelse.

Jag antar att ljudstyrkan inte spelade någon roll eftersom de felaktiga sakerna de tog med kunde ha varit bättre än de rätta sakerna. Hoppas att kaffet är bättre än middagsmat. Pizza är okej, men kärnmjölk smeten stekt kyckling var allt smet, ingen kyckling. Vi bad flera gånger att ha volymen minskad och vänta personal aldrig uppfyllt, men tydligt kunde inte höra oss tillräckligt bra för att få vår beställning rätt - 3 misstag i alla. De är BUSY - kanske mer en fråga om brist på val än någonting annat.

Detta är en ny stadsdel bistro plats i Washington Heights. Vi har ätit här ca 6 gånger. Alltid bra service och bra pizza. Har provat de flesta av pizzorna med italiensk korv och svamppizzorna är mina favoriter. Älska alla sallader. Stekt kyckling aptitretare är ett måste. Vinet är rimligt prissatt. Inredning, musik och atmosfär är stora. Vissa tror att den begränsade menyn är en nackdel, men inte oss.

Vi har varit här flera gånger. Först när var var bara kaféet öppet och hade läckra bakverk och en stor cappuccino. Tobys gods kaffe. Teddybjörnkakorna är fantastiska! Vi besökte sedan en gång restaurangen öppnade. Pizza är fantastisk! Vår enda fråga var att avgöra vilka som skulle beställas. Stekt kycklingbit är otroligt. Vi har sedan lärt oss att de har spenderat menyn och nu erbjuder frukost och lunch. Kan inte vänta med att gå tillbaka! !

Denna plats är relativt ny. Jag har varit ett par gånger nu. Riktigt konsekvent att de är vänliga och BUSY! Tjänsten är bra, men långsam. Gå inte hit om du har bråttom. Mat är gott; Det är muradugnspizza. Bra sidor. Inte många andra alternativ på menyn, men jag rekommenderar starkt stekt kycklingbett. Holy Heck de är fantastiska. Allt annat är bra men inte något att blåsa. Solid 4 stjärnor. . . och jag förväntar mig att de blir bättre när de bosätter sig

The Uptown Garrison sparkar verkligen Hudson Heights restaurangscenen uppe i hak. Mestadels mycket uppmärksam service och underbara specialpizzor. . . och inte bara repliker av den andra tegelstenen över platser du har besökt. Trevlig atmosfär med tunnelbana, väder och träbelysning. Det finns ett par problem som jag skulle tillskriva personal som inte används för höga volymer. . . Vid ett tidigare besök var brussellspirorna läckra men grötiga. Även bartendern är i ömt behov av lite hjälp när alla barstolar är alla tagna och servitörer kräver också hans uppmärksamhet. Några barkunder går vilse mitt i kaoset.
