Had their Chicken Malai Roll - costed about 11$ (in cash). It tasted good, but would not say that it was the best Kolkata kathi roll in New York.
Had kathi rolls at the Kathi Roll Company (Bryant Park) and at Chote Miya (Chelsea Market) as well. Would rank the rank the Kathi Roll we had here at the last in terms of taste and price. Felt that it was a little on the pricier side given that the other places price the same item much less but are more flavorful. Nonetheless, it is a good option if you are craving a Kolkata kathi roll and this is the easiest option, then give it a try.
It's a small place, so very limited seating space available.
Also paying by cash costs a little less than paying by credit card.

I come from Telangana in India, a state that prizes itself in authentic delicious and extremely spicy food. But what I got here was some sort of vengeance from the cooks. The amount of green chillis in the phal roll was absurd. The cooks made it with an agenda to burn me. There was no flavor and I was simply assaulted with green chilies. If an ulcer is what the owner means with 🔥🔥 rating then I think he or she or they needs to desperately try what they are serving and not simply hand over their store to cooks who have no idea what a Kathi roll means. Worst experience in NY and will never let anyone I know ever go there.

If you are someone who loves chaat or rolls then this place is for you. Place is very small and lovely but gets very crowded during weekends. I tried their bhel puri and it was delicious. We also tried their chatpata paneer roll and trust me the taste truly describes its name. Definitely worth a try and rates are nominal too.

The Thelewala chicken roll, it was excellent. Chicken marinated in green salsa with eggs, onions. So much flavor. I only wish it was a little bigger. Next time I'd order two.
