Torrisi deserves all the hype and more. I was exceedingly impressed with my entire dining experience here. I came for lunch and sat at the bar received excellent service from every single person, everyone has proper menu knowledge, the service was attentive but not , the lighting is absolutely stunning, the entire interior is absolutely stunning, comfortable, upscale, but also felt like home in a way. The food? Impeccable. The duck was the best duck I've ever had and the tortellini is that good. You actually can't even fathom how good this tortellini is I promise you. The Affogato is an absolute must it blew my mind I'm not exaggerating.

Torrisi is an incredible restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere are all wonderful.

I have eaten here twice at the bar as a solo diner and it felt special and relaxed both times. I can’t wait to come back with a friend and try more dishes. Side note: both times I did a walk in on a Friday lunch time.

Whatever you do, do not say no to the bread. It’s so flavourful and one of the best parts of the meal. The tortellini pomodoro is outstanding and a must try! I also love their crudo. At the end they give you very pretty miniature Italian ices and cookies which is a nice touch.

Worth the hype.

I have been trying to get a dinner reservation at Torrisi since I found out it had received a Michelin star. This was redemption for me since I was never able to get a reservation at Carbone (also owned by Major Food Group).

Walking in, I was greeted by super friendly and attentive staff. I loved the ambiance, which included all the unique decor scattered throughout the restaurant.

I ordered the following:
- Cucumbers New Yorkese
- Tortellini Pomodoro
- Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef Ragu
- Almond Cheesecake

The cucumber starter tasted sooo good. It was appropriately portioned with the right amount of tang in every bite. The dill, especially, was a nice touch. If you like Margherita pizzas, you have to order the Tortellini Pomodoro, which showcases why Torrisi has earned the recognition it has received. The beef ragu is great if you want a spicy kick to a savory pasta dish. I personally would not get the almond cheesecake again, as it was too sweet, but a lot of other patrons seemed to like it. As an FYI, dinner service also includes water ice (lemon and green apple) as a palate cleanser, as well as cookies and other assortments to end the night.

This was a fantastic experience at lunch.  Tortellini Pomedoro, Jamaican beef Ragu, and Chicken dish.  The American and Italian hams came first for appetizers.  Next the pasta.  The beef rage was very flavorful with just a little spice.  The chicken. Was almost the tenderness of tofu with a nice crispy glaze.  I can't recommend Torrisi enough!
