The sun was bright and surprisingly Union Square Is Park was empty. The farmers market’s stalls were there since the early morning. So were the chess and backgammon players - $5 to play a game of chess. No political rallies were on as this park is famous for having all kinds of protests. I enjoy coming here not only for the farmers market on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays but to walk through enjoying the scenery. Various shops surround the park and it’s lovely to sit on a park bench enjoying people watching.

I really like the farmers market, the ambience. During Christmas time is such a cute experience. The only thing that bothers me about Union Square is the dog park. Is for big and small dogs mixed. They mix pit bulls with doodles and so on. I think they need to invest more on this to be a safer place for all dogs that want to enjoy this park.

One of my favorite places in the city. It’s always alive with people, food, music, markets, artists, art, skateboarders, commuters, musicians, color, movement and life! The markets tend to the pricey side, but I still love to wander around and look at everything. It look at these gorgeous floral arrangements from a winter market day! Makes me so happy just to wander around.
