These rice rolls were absolutely delicious and comforting. I ordered R2: Marinated pork and shrimp with chives rice noodles. The flavors were incredibly fresh and warm, perfect for a cold winter day. The restaurant had a warm and lively atmosphere, filled with people enjoying their rice noodles. I’ve also tried Tonii’s rice noodles, which are a different style from this Guangzhou version, but both are equally delicious in their own ways. Highly recommend this spot, perfect for a cheap eat!

Was an NYC this weekend went to Chinatown and was looking for a place for breakfast. I I knew that Chang fen was a trendy type of food that was spreading across the north east and we happen to be right across the street so we decided to try it. Place very trendy place representing a traditional Hong Kong eatery for breakfast cash only so don’t forget so we got a bunch of different rice rolls . We have a beef and chive traditional shrimp, a chicken mushroom and a peanut sauce one. All came out super fresh and fast piping hot. So what make the rice rolls really good number one freshness number two texture of the rice roll number three quality ingredients number four perfectly balanced soy sauce. But the highlight was for me the peanut sauce rice roll. I thought this is probably one of the best I’ve ever had super nutty. Taste like peanut butter melted most sauces or water down. This was nuts and had a sweet hoisin sauce mixed in with perfect balance. Top it off with Sesame seeds and you’re done.

Cash only spot for classic Chinese breakfast favorites. The youtiao (oil cruller) and soy milk was such a great combo. The soy milk was perfectly sweet but not too much so. The congee portion was huge - enough for 2 servings at least.

My friend and I went to this place based on their good ratings on Google. We ordered porridge, Chinese fried curlers, soy milk, and milk tea. The service was prompt. The porridge and the milk tea were delicious.  However, beware that they might be passing counterfeit money. My friend paid cash with $100 bill (our bill was just under $20). They gave us change in $50 bill and other smaller denominations. My friend only realized that the $50 bill was a counterfeit way after we left Chinatown. What a total disappointment! So please beware when you receive change from them.
