I went to this restaurant for my bestie birthday. We started at the bar because we arrived earlier than our reservation. Cocktails were amazing . I got lychee and rose petal martini & she got Japanese margarita. For food we got sushi, skirt steak, rib eye , mashed potato, mushrooms , rock shrimp tempura and fried calamari , the food is good quality , fresh and delicious.

All around luxury experience. Went for omakase as a last minute kind of why not and our server was amazing. He explained everything was very charming! Have a cocktail of I could try all I would! Tried their lychee martini and WOW! They also specialize in whiskey so if that’s your thing go for it.

Went here for my birthday and hands down one of my favorite places. The people went above and beyond service and the atmosphere is hard to beat. Management really listens and the food is amazing. You’ll be hard pressed to find a place on this level in NYC or otherwise. Don’t sleep on the sundae and strawberry desserts. Amazing drinks too. We will definitely be coming back.

We had Christmas Eve dinner at ZUMA. Despite having an OpenTable reservation, we were initially seated at the worst table by the entrance. To their credit, they moved us when we requested. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Having dined at many Japanese restaurants in NYC, we found ZUMA to be the worst, and it was extremely expensive. We’ve had amazing dinners with great chefs at the same price range.

We ordered the Omakase Premium. The waiter told us it was five courses, but it ended up being much more. They kept bringing us food that wasn’t designed for one person menu, with no chef’s composition whatsoever; it included a miso soup as part of "premium". The plate presentations were tacky and overdone, and even the dessert resembled a fruit fountain.

The place feels more like a sushi bar than the “internationally acclaimed modern Japanese cuisine” they claim to be. They mentioned a dress code on their page, but people were arriving in almost sweatpants, again deceiving... and gives you a false expectation of the experience you will have.

want to extend a huge thank you to Zuma for making my birthday truly unforgettable! I had the best birthday ever, and I couldn't have done it without Emahn's exceptional cooperation and assistance in organizing everything.

The food, music, and service were all of the highest quality, and I was impressed by how kind and attentive the staff were throughout the event.

This is my second time celebrating my birthday at Zuma, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic venue. I can't wait to return for another amazing experience!
