Detta är den mest handikappade otillgängliga 3 - story store. Det finns rulltrappor till övre eller nedre våningar, hiss alternativ. Men det finns ingen plats att sitta för att bläddra eller vila. Caféet har bord, stolar och barstolar - STORA skyltar över hela ‘sittande för betalande kunder’ och bara i 30 minuter. Vi åkte utan att köpa något.

Riktigt dåligt cirkulationskoncept i butiken. Man börjar åka elektriska trappor upp och ner tills man inte vet vad man letade efter. Du är alltid i fel område. Det är inte lätt att hitta sektionerna och när du äntligen hittar boken du ville ha (anställda som inte är villiga att hjälpa till) måste du gå ner för att betala för det så att du kan använda toaletten med koden som visas i kvittot. Toaletterna är i dåligt skick. Det finns inga stolar att sitta på för att bläddra i dina pre - utvalda böcker och om du vill sitta på caféet måste du betala för en dryck även om du inte vill ha en. Du känner dig inte välkommen.

Helt annorlunda än The Strand i närheten, älskar dem båda men tilltalar förmodligen olika läsare. Det finns inte många bokaffärer kvar runt om i världen men detta är fortfarande en av mina favoriter - något för alla, vare sig det är "gammaldags" bokälskare eller musikälskare - 3 nivåer av skatter.
Ett av överklagelserna är serien med händelser och boksigneringar, alltid fascinerande gäster, även om jag inte alltid är i stan när de har dessa kvällar.
Gick till en Julian Lennon-boklansering och det var helt fantastiskt - annat än att vara son till John, visste inte så mycket om honom men det var en lysande natt.

Jag brukar inte vara objektiv när det gäller bokhandlar, jag älskar att läsa och ännu mer. . . när vi hittar allt vi letar efter utan att förvänta oss det. Oändlighet av sektioner och erbjudanden, super mysigt ställe med högutbildad personal, vackra boktillbehör till ett bra pris för att köpa och en kafeteria. . . vad mer kan vi begära ett perfekt besök?
Det finns en speciell sektion för barn och spel kan också köpas.

En underbar plats fylld med böcker. Bra utrymme att bläddra igenom de olika titlarna, sitta, koppla av och läsa. Kaféet är OK - ganska standard men ett bra alternativ att ta en kort paus.

Inte en stor butik utan ett rättvist utbud av böcker och sådant. Caféet var som vanligt Starbucks så vi störde inte att stanna som vi föredrar en mer självständig typ.

Min man och jag stannade här medan du handlar på köpcentret. Han har en kaffe och jag har ett bakverk. Vi båda älskade våra saker. Arbetare var trevlig och hjälpsam.

Hittade personen som tog min order för att vara ganska oförskämd och inte hjälpsam.

Anmärkningar:

 1) Detta är inte en Starbucks - inget som är relaterat till Starbucks tas inte hit även om de har Starbucks skyltar överallt.

 2) uppförsäljning - allting är en uppförsäljning - större drycker, sirap, tillägg, etc.

 3) fortsatte försöka driva en barnes och nobelt medlemskap.

Jag frågade varför alla Starbucks signerade men inget stöd för Starbucks kunder (till exempel betala med Starbucks app) och killen pekade mig bara på ett tecken - vilket råkade vara ett litet tecken som säger att de inte tar Starbucks-kort. Roligt, som överallt i kaféet gör de det som en Starbucks - handlar in på Starbucks varumärke och levererar sub-par service.

Spara dina pengar - det finns mycket bättre och vänligare platser.

Ett utmärkt urval av böcker. stor samling av DVD-skivor också. En anställd är alltid tillgänglig för att hjälpa dig och får dig att känna dig välkommen. Förmodligen skulle ha tillbringat en hel dag här om jag hade tiden. Central plats (5 avenue). Cafe serverar bra kaffe och läckra små måltider. gott om bord att sitta och slappna av.

Vi båda älskar något att göra med böcker och så när vi kom över den här butiken på vår New York-promenad om vi gjorde en beeline för ytterdörren! Platsen har en bra stämning och strålande urval. Mervärdet är kaféet på översta våningen med bekväma sittplatser och ett stort utbud av mat och dryck. Beläget i kaféområdet är ett stort urval av bitar och bobs och det betyder jag stora anteckningsböcker etc. Det måste vara ett sätt att placera precis på 5th Avenue om du bara vill ta lite lugn tid med en stor kopp kaffe och en läsning av en bok!

Vi bruna böckerna men var verkligen här för att se vilka filmer / musik de har. Utmärkt urval av Broadway-ljudspår samt svårt att hitta äldre filmer och tv-program. Hjälpsam personal.
