Du kan få allt här. Jag hade laxfilé och brunt ris från området varm mat för under $ 10 som var bättre än vad jag åt på någon fancy restaurang i New York City. Vi snubblade först på Cafe 28 tillbaka 2010 och det var verkligen utmärkt då. Återkommer 8 år senare och rekommendera det till frukost till familjen kommer alltid att vara skrämmande - om de lyckats upprätthålla samma standard i 8 år? Våra rädslor var ogrundade. Även om utbudet av filterk kaffe är något mindre nu är maten fortfarande utsökt och nyberedd. Varm och kall buffé som säljs av lb, färsk matlagningsdisk, vedeldad pizza, till och med en sushi räknare, den här platsen har allt. Den bästa delen är matsalen på övervåningen - så många platser har inte plats för dig att njuta av maten. Inte så här - gott om utrymme. Priserna är också rimliga för NYC. Samma frukost kostar oss dubbelt så mycket på en annan deli nära tiderna. Du kan verkligen inte gå fel att äta här. Det är så bra, du kommer antagligen att äta mer än en måltid här!

Wow, vi hade en utmärkt lunch här. All maten såg fräsch och välsmakande ut. Vi hade en sub varje, mycket fyllning och högsta kvalitet. Vi kom en annan dag under vårt besök och kommer att göra nästa gång i New York. Counter service snabbt och mycket bra också.

Medan vi noterade semesterfönsterdekorationerna längs Fifth Avenue bestämde vi oss för att få en snabb bit att äta på denna restaurang. Det är en självbetjäning anläggning men de hade en sallad sektion där du kan ha räknaren personen sätta ihop en sallad med egna fixeringar. Jag kan inte kommentera de heta objekten men jag kan säkert säga att salladen bara var "okej". Gröna var färskt nog, men några av de fixingar som jag hade lagt till verkade som om de var lite gamla, som gurkor, syltad jalape os och till och med broiled kyckling som var lite på den torra sidan. Jag skulle välja en annan restaurang för en snabb måltid om jag fick valet igen.

Vi stannade till här för att få en drink medan jag väntade på en sevärdhet att öppna (jag kommer inte säga vilken som det kommer att förstöra min oskyldiga bild) . Min fru nästan gått ut från maturvalet. Vi kom tillbaka till lunch och jag måste säga att maten var utsökt. Förmodligen den bästa maten vi har haft så långt i NYC i de sista dagarna.
