Left Bank är ett bra ställe att träffa vänner och njuta av en lugn måltid. Vi var tvungna att vänta i 20 minuter innan vårt bord kom gratis men det var värt att vänta. Jag hade en av två kycklingrätter som var väl förberedda och lite annorlunda. Desserterna var verkligen oemotståndliga. Vinlistan var intressant men dyr. Detta är en franskamerikansk bistro med DEN bästa burger någonsin - - - - mycket bättre än den närliggande berömda Spotted Pig's hamburgaren. Vi älskar den krämiga polentaen i kycklingjuus med parmesan (verkligen yum!), Och beställer ofta de dagliga specialerna. Salladerna är bra. Happy hour mellan 5 - 7 med FRISKA ostron och vin kan inte slås både för värde och kvalitet. Till dessert älskar jag affogato och tiramisu. Min vän och jag gick här prime tid på en fredag kväll och, med tanke på sin höga Zagat betyg, blev vi förvånade över att vi inte hade några problem att få ett bord. Maten var utmärkt. Vi beställde tre saker. Brusselspirorna var inte hela men rakade och serverades med trevliga dressing och crunchy saker (antingen nötter eller torkade kikärtor). Jag hade aldrig groddar på detta sätt och älskade smaken. Min vän åtnjöt hennes kale sallad. Jag beställde orecchiette med kyckling, en kombination som jag aldrig såg före, och det var spektakulärt. Pastan var ganska stor och verkade hemlagad. Den rakade / riven parmesan på toppen var smakfull. Allt tillsammans en av de bästa pastaerna jag har haft. Det var också en stor del, men jag var säker på att äta varje bit. Tjänsten var också stor: effektiv och trevlig utan att vara överdrivande. Vår servitör rekommenderade en cocktail från menyn (med tequila och grapefruktjuice) och jag gillade det verkligen. Expertiserad. Min pojkvän och jag hade nyligen nöjet att äta på Left Bank och verkligen haft det! Flat Iron Chicken är ingen annan. Det är en stor del som är lätt att dela med sig av. Vi började med brusselspiror med hasselnötter - utsökt!

Riktigt trevlig atmosfär på Left Bank. Maten är utmärkt och priserna är mycket rättvisa. Vi utnyttjade Happy hour special av en aptitretare och pone pasta maträtt. Båda valen var utmärkt. Vi utnyttjade även gratis kork på söndagar och måndagar. Riktigt trevligt att ha en stor flaska Barolo att följa med papardelle bolognese. Vi har varit i Left Bank 5 gånger och kommer säkert tillbaka flera gånger.
Det enda negativa vi hade var musiken. Valet av en timme Motown var konstigt. Jag lyssnade på så mycket Motown årtionden sedan att jag är sjuk av den. Vad sägs om några Diana Krall? Hon kom precis ut med ett förtjusande album av standarder med Tony Bennett. Det, och miljontals andra samtida idéer - jazz också - skulle vara bättre än Motown för bakgrundsmusik. Trots detta klagomål är det en riktigt bra restaurang som arbetar under radaren och vi kommer tillbaka många gånger.

Vi hittade äntligen en plats att parkera vår uHaul-lastbil och när vi kom ut ur garaget var här den här platsen som erbjuder bra måltid och dryckesaffärer för happy hour från 5 till 7. Verkade precis som vi behövde. Uppmärksam och omtänksam service och bra mat.

Ägaren / kocken Laurence har skapat en riktig klassiker - och han övervakar alltid detaljerna. Någon spenderar mycket tidsljus, så du har en atmosfär som är romantisk och speciell. Maten är utmärkt. Personalen är skarp och verkligen effektiv. Tabellerna är väl åtskilda (så du äter inte middag med människor 2 tum bort). Baren personal gör fantasifulla cocktails. Utsidan har riktigt vackra blommor, och framför allt är det här en plats som verkligen bryr sig om. Det är inte billigt, det är inte dumt dyrt. De verkar ha ett antal stamgäster, och ta hand om dem bra. Jag kan inte rekommendera det nog.
