Nyligen besökte Salon de Ning, den förtrollande takpärlan på Peninsula Hotel i New York. Även om vi accepterades som promenad - ins, vi var ursprungligen sittande inomhus i väntan på ett utomhusbord. Tyvärr tog övergången längre tid än väntat. 
Utsikten erbjuder en panorama skiva av stadens skyline som är inget annat än fantastisk. Tallrikarna gjorde dock att vi ville ha mer; portionerna kunde vara lite mer hjärtliga. 
Servicen var tillfredsställande, med uppmärksam personal som konsekvent kontrollerar om allt var bra. Perfekt för en lugn eftermiddag med en fantastisk utsikt över 5: e avenyn.

Detta är takbaren på Peninsula Hotel. Det finns ett litet inre område samt uteservering. Det inre området har inte generöst stående område så det kan bli trångt. Stora bartendrar. Det finns en igaloo (plastgeodesisk kupol) som är uppvärmd och kan reserveras för flasktjänst som för närvarande har ett minimum av 500 dollar. Vi hoppade över igaloo och tyckte om chatten med bartendern! !

Men innan middagen ville vi kolla in en annan takbar som vi hade hört bra saker om kallade Salon de ning på Peninsula-hotellet i centrum. Den här baren är inte lätt att hitta eftersom det finns olika uppsättningar av hissar (jag minns det här på halvön i Chicago). När du hittat rätt hiss tar du dig till toppen där takbar och restaurang ligger.

Salon de Ning är en elegant takbar med två utomhusterrasser och en intim interiörbar. Denna bar har dramatisk utsikt över skyline över Fifth Avenue. Eftersom det inte är en stor bar, skulle jag rekommendera att komma dit tidigare så att du kan få en plats. Vi märkte att när vi tagit tag i våra säten i baren började folk översvämma in och sätena blev knappa.

Vi har verkligen haft denna bar. Bartenderna gjorde stora drycker och var extremt uppmärksam. Jag rekommenderar starkt detta som ett stopp!

Vi åkte dit för en drink innan vi gick till en show. Vi vill gå tillbaka och sitta på däck och äta. Jag rekommenderar baren - gott om platser i baren, i loungen och på utsidan / takterrassen. Halvön är ett stort hotell övergripande och salongen svika inte.

Vi njöt av vårt första besök så mycket - bra cocktails i en härlig takterrass med fantastisk utsikt längs 5th avenue - att vi återvände några kvällar senare men greeter var grumpy, uppenbarligen hade hans favoriter och fick oss att flytta våra rockar och påsar från en stol på vårt bord så att folket på nästa bord kunde få stolen men de slutade med att lägga på sina jackor och påsar på sätet! Bit saknas i charm och manners minst sagt.

Vi har precis föll ned i hotellet som söker en bar och blev till åtkomstsidan för taket. Massor om bord utanför så väl som en bar med sittplatser inomhus. Mycket trevligt ställe för avkoppling efter en lång dag i staden. Men varning priserna är HÖGA! Jag hade ett glas husets rött vin. . . Inget speciellt för 30 dollar per glas och det var inte ett stort glas heller. En känns faktiskt lite lurad här utan om du söker en takterrass är detta rätt ställe. Det är inte står högt upp så att du är utsikt över skyline men byggnaderna på 5:e avenyn som du kan se är vackra. Musiken var rätt för att vi pratar volym.

Vi bodde på hotellet och hade ett par drinkar på det här stället. Vi hade också ett par stora uppläggningsfat, överskattat och dyr, kommer på 46 dollar för 3 bitar av olika ostar och 8 kex. i alla fall, mycket trevliga känsla av att vara i toppen, trevliga cocktails men undvik att mat.
