Stannade sent på kvällen för appar och drycker. Bartendern hade en kraftig hälla, så tung att det påverkade smaken. Appar var bra, inte för speciella.

Vi åt här två gånger för 5 år sedan så var glada att återvända på en konferens i NYC. Härlig atmosfär, utmärkt service, viner i glaset. Vi hade cheeseburger med pommes frites som var långt ifrån fotgängare. Tillagas perfekt på beställning. Pommes frites var utmärkt. Vi skulle ha återvänt, men konferensen var för kort! Vi trodde att priserna var normala för NYC.

Vi hade en kvällsmåltid, och även om vi var mycket upptagna fick vi så småningom ett hörnbord för 4. Vi hade 2 förrätter och 3 huvudrätter och 3 drinkar, efter en blandning med ett annat bord (förståeligt med att det var så upptaget), åtnjöt vi maten. Det var smakfullt, komplimanger till kocken, men till ett pris av $ 180, det var den dyraste genomsnittliga maten vi har haft.

Min man och jag är i NYC på ett affärsmöte och har förlängt vår vistelse eftersom vi aldrig har besökt New York förut. Vi hittade Randolphs och tyckte det ser trevligt ut och någonstans kunde vi njuta av en måltid. Vi gick in och väntade på skylten "Vänta här för att sitta". Det var tre servitörer som betjänade kunder och ingen av dem gav ögonkontakt. Det är ok vi trodde, de är upptagna och var säkra på att någon skulle komma över. Åh, hur fel hade vi gjort. 3 anställda gick fram och tillbaka och inte en av dem talade med oss, gav ögonkontakt eller sa att de skulle vara med oss inom kort. Vi måste ha stått där 20 minuter! Vid ett tillfälle kom en av servitörerna fram till skåpet nära där vi stod och talade fortfarande inte till oss. Jag sa ursäkta mig, har du ett bord och servitören tappade oss bara. Aldrig tidigare har vi behandlats på detta sätt på en restaurang. Till slut gick vi ut och gick och besökte Rue 57, fantastisk restaurang. Vi kommer tillbaka till New York och du kan vara säker på att vi aldrig kommer att ta fot i Randolphs och vi kommer inte att rekommendera det till våra kollegor.

Jag hade middag och lunch på Randolph's och tyckte verkligen om båda. Varken kryddig räksallad eller Cajun-kyckling-smörgåsen var alltför krydda men båda var mycket bra. Vi hade en familjeåterförening i NYC och stannade på Warwick Hotel. Varje kväll efter att andra aktiviteter var över gick vi tillbaka till denna hotellbar. Det har inget särskilt att rekommendera det. Drycker och mat var för dyr. Stämningen var ganska bullrig vilket gjorde det svårt att prata.

När vi anlände, hade vi drycker och lite karcuteri. Dryckerna var pricy, men starka. Kött och ostar var utmärkt. Nästa dag träffade vi en vän till lunch där. Det var perfekt. Tabellerna är inte trånga och ljudnivån var aldrig märkbar. Maten var också utmärkt. Vi alla hade hamburgare och Björn fries, men de var underbara och prissatta som andra restauranger (inte räknar fastmat platser). Det var en trevlig eftermiddag.

Dryck priserna är höga även för NYC och de verkade understaffed de två gånger vi var där. En server behandlade hela rummet varje gång och rummet var nästan full båda gånger.

Om du är nära MOMA och vill ha en lugn plats för lunch, kolla in det. Det ligger i The Warwick Hotel.

Jag hade en lunch där. Inredning är bra och rimliga priser, men maten serverades med 30 minuters fördröjning. Maten var ok, men förseningen förstörde allt. Jag kommer att säga att denna plats fungerar mer som bar än plats för att äta lunch eller middag där!

Om du bor på Warwick är detta en mycket bekväm plats för en drink eller en snabb eftermiddagbit.

Vi hade några Manhattans och biff med salladsalat och grönsaker. Stek var ganska bra för priset ($ 34 för 8 ounce NY remsa). Inte lika smakfull som 21 Club eller andra high end restauranger, men mycket passable för en bar.

Jag stannade i för ett snabbt glas vin innan du gick ut på middag. . . och stannade i nästan två timmar. Folk tittar på, bar personal (Diana var otroligt!) Och atmosfären i denna klassiska lounge är vintage New York. Jag stannade längre än förväntat och åtnjöt deras Charcuterie-fack och en rad besökare från hela världen. Ett bra ställe att sakta ner sakerna och njut av vibbarna i gårsklassen och chic.

Under vår vistelse i Warwick har vi försökt olika förrätter och förrätter, alla tallrikar var bra. Den första kvällen tjänsten var inte bra alls, chefen tog sig tid att lyssna på våra klagomål, och hon var mycket bra att förstå och problemet.
Vi gick med på att prova en annan kväll, och tro mig, tjänsten var TIP TOP.

Vi bestämde oss för att ta tag i och snabba bett att äta på Randolphs att komma undan hösten chill och helt uppriktigt var det kallare inuti Randolph än utanför. Luftkonditioneringen blåste ner på oss under hela vår måltid och bad att få det stängt och de svarade aldrig på vår begäran. Förrätter var medioker i bästa och inte imponera oss mycket. Cobb sallad och kyckling Schnitzel var ok. Jag kan inte säga att vi kommer tillbaka när som helst snart. Mycket dyr lunch!
