The food at Normanside is delicious and ever changing. You don't need to be a member to eat there either. We belong and we couldn't be happier with the experiences we've had. This winter our daughter is old enough to start golfing. We brought her for an hour to the indoor simulators to play games and get used to her new clubs. The golf pros are phenomenal and offer lessons. The wait staff is kind and wonderful. In the summer, the pool has a water slide, swim lessons and food. The life guards are fantastic as well. The golf course is beautiful and a favorite of my husbands. It's well kept.

I was the maid of honor in a wedding at Normanside this weekend and the "event coordinator", Jaime, was seriously lacking. Was extremely rude to the bridal party, unorganized, and had a terrible attitude the entire time. They do NOTHING to close off the bridal/groomsmans suites to the public/golfers. Was dressing the bride and random people were walking in to use the bathroom. bridal party was told food would be provided for the morning... small fruit tray and some oat bites were provided for 12+ people and we were told outside food was not allowed. No food or beverages were provided to the groomsman. Their room had rolled up turf on the floor, the tv's didn't work and barely any seating. 12 hours from arrival to dinner and we were offered barely anything. Dave stated he would be available by text all day and took over an hour to respond to the above issues. Not worth the sub par experience for the price they charge to have a wedding there. look elsewhere... unless you're in to strangers barging in on your wedding day.

Wonderful bridal shower organized by a very helpful (and patient) event coordinator .Good suggestions were offered by Emma and all my requests were filled. We did not feel rushed the day of the shower even though I knew a wedding followed our shower. Normanside CC is also in a beautiful setting. I would not hesitate to recommend for a shower/wedding venue.

Went to a retirement party here a few weeks ago. They are obviously still in the middle of heavy restoration and renovation and the place smelled paint-y. The service was very good with friendly waiters/waitresses and a nice bartender. It was clean and pleasant. The food was above-average for typical banquet fare. I had the steak, and although I was not given the option to request how I wanted it prepared, it did come out medium and not completely overdone. If they renovate it right, it could be a real gem.

I've gone to multiple events here since their renovation in 2012. All of the events were catered by outside companies, since they allow a Kosher exemption to using their caterer. I found their staff to be courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The facilities are quite lovely, and I haven't had a single complaint about any of the events that they've hosted. Seems like a good place to have a wedding/large party.

What a delicious departure from meal prep at home. Ordered Fish Friday dinner of Baked Haddock with a delightful white wine cream sauce, potato wedges and coke slaw. Executive Chef Ken Rudd is top notch in the Capital Region and dinner never disappoints. Worth checking out, great value, fantastic menu options!!

Normanside has the feel of a club that was once a better tract but that is now clinging to hold on, as evidenced by the minimally tended, somewhat sandless bunkers and the choppy greens. It can also be a bit of a shooting gallery as many of the holes hug too closely to each other. If you're going to play a round at a public place, go to the otherside of Norman's Kill to Capital Hills, which is a tremendous, championship-like design and layout.

I recently had my baby shower at Normanside Country Club. It was a truly wonderful event! Emma was such a huge help to my mother and I as we planned the shower. The day of was beautiful! The food was delicious and the room was gorgeous. The service was amazing and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this venue for an event!

Whoever the chef is, he is fantastic. The menu and the food is fabulous! And the prices are very very reasonable for such amazing food. I just drove there a half hour from home just to pick up dinner last night. Had the Pepperoni, Rstd Mushroom and jalapeno pizza and the Duck Crepes. OMG, sooooo good! WORTH a DRIVE !

They are done with their renovations and the end product is a tastefully decorated and comfortable gathering place. I've had dinner with friends and found the food delicious and the dining space spot on with its a tvery classy appearance. I've attended an anniversary party there and was impressed with the level of service and the arrangements of the buffet lunch. I had to write this review as the space, food, and staff deserved more than the rating in the previous review. As a matter of fact, I'm going there for lunch with friends today because it is possible to have a $10 lunch with great choices and taste in a poshly decorated dining room. Words that describe such experiences are delightful, enjoyable, and relaxing. Perhaps it deserves 5 stars, but I tend to be conservative.
