My daughter and I had brunch here. The crème brûlée French toast was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs nd asked how things were and could she get us anything else. I would definitely be back!

Came with a friend for happy hour and loved it! We arrived and parked easily behind the building at 4 on a Friday. We got the arancini appetizer and yum! My dinner partner had the burger and I had the strip steak with crispy potatoes and asparagus. So delicious. Can not wait to return!

Stopped in for cocktails and happy hour. A fabulous place for it. They have a beautiful, spacious bar that is friendly and welcoming for casual, yet glamorous with super friendly and attentive staff. The weather is finally starting to get nice folks and they have one the few - and terrific- sidewalk cafes.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here with a friend. Wait staff was attentive. Ambience was lovely. Would be great for a romantic dinner out! The menu was limited and had lots of pasta. If you'd like Italian food, this would be a great place to try!

A friend and I went to Cafe Madison for brunch on 9/13/25. We ordered drinks and meals. I ordered the seasonal special of Shrimp and Grits. About halfway through my meal I felt something in my mouth, which I assumed at first might be a part of an eggshell. When I pulled it out it was 3 rusty staples. My friend and I both were kind of in shock at first. We called the server over, explained what I found, and handed the meal and the staples over to him. He brought it to the back. Upon returning, he said he spoke to the "GM" and he would take the shrimp and grits off the bill and one of my two drinks. He then kept repeating to me that it wasn't him who did it - like this incident was going to affect his overall tip - not really concerned that I just found rusty staples in my food. I was pretty annoyed at this point and the other patrons who were seated to our right and left were also shocked by the incident. My friend and I paid and left. Honestly the whole thing rubbed me the wrong way. I was a chef for 10 years and I can tell you that not once in those 10 years was metal ever found in any of my dishes. This isn't one of those "well things happen sometimes"; this could have been a much more serious issue if I had swallowed them. It just speaks to an overall lack of cleanliness and attention to detail and just laziness overall. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. If I could give less then a 1 star rating, I would and I would advise anyone who does find themselves eating there to inspect their food thoroughly.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere. Whether you want to sit at the bar or in a cozy spot you can't go wrong. Outdoor seating is great and under an awning. Menu has a variety of price points. Their large salad is delicious and reasonably priced. The appetizers are generously portioned for sharing. The pizzas as so good and I love the vodka sauce on the pepperoni option. Staff is friendly. Parking is generous in the back and there is plenty of room for a large party. Love the entree options and the specials are great choices too.

Really wanted to love the new Serata @ Cafe Madison. Have always liked the space and Cafe Madison is a reliable favorite. Unfortunately our visit from start to finish was just 'meh'. Started with drinks at the bar while we waited for the second half of our party. Ordered a pint of Guinness and Blueberry Martini on the rocks. The Guinness pour was well, poor (three inches of head) and the bartender served the cocktail up instead of on the rocks as requested. Not a great start. Speaking of starts, the menu of starters wasn't all that interesting or appropriate for sharing so no one in our group of four decided on an appetizer. We put in our dinner order after choosing from the very traditional neighborhood Italian offerings. Like the starters, none of the entrees (including a wood fired pizza) were very interesting. None were bad, but none were memorable either. Can't fairly comment on the service as our waitress was new (though a veteran of Cafe Madison brunch service). The choice of logo'd black t-shirts as the staff uniform pretty much sums up the vibe. Serata's space is elevated chic, but they are providing elevated Pizza Parlor eat-in level food. Can imagine this spot becoming a solid neighborhood hangout for regulars and locals, but for $25 an entree there are much better options in Albany. Bottom line, we'll continue to visit for brunch but will go elsewhere for dinner.

We are big fans of Cafe Madison's brunch so we're very excited to try their take on dinner and cocktails. They did not disappoint. We had an excellent meal. The wedge salad was fresh, the tomatoes were 10 out of 10. The prosciutto parm with buratta was crispy and flavorful. the mushroom truffle pizza rounded out our meal perfectly. Our server was attentive and friendly. The space is really beautiful. We will be recommending this spot and will be back to try more menu items very soon!

Such a great experience, great, lovely server and atmosphere is so cozy and cute! We made a charcuterie board and a Barada salad, so so good and then we tried the mushroom Ragu, which was highly recommended and another salad and they were amazing also! Oh, and my drinks were really tasty too. I will be going back when I return to the area. I came from Los Angeles so my standards for food are pretty high,, and this was terrific!
