MICE BEWARE Found mice running around and one came into my room. The mouse ran from the hallway into my bathroom then through a hole behind the toilet. I was not offered a refund and the managers tried to switch me to a room that was already occupied. There was confusion by the managers on what to do. I deserved a refund. You get what you pay for.

Washington Park Inn is a lovely bed and breakfast located in a nice area across from Washington park. It's close to everything so the location is good. The room we reserved was not the room we stayed in therefore making it difficult to work without a desk and the extra space we paid for but didn't get. No one apologized for this inconvenience. The amenities were not as stated on their website either. Only one bike available, no pressed coffee, no charcuterie either. Our bed was comfortable but our room either too hot or very cold. Easy parking and very clean. The cleaning lady was very nice! Make sure and stay upstairs, the rooms downstairs I think would not be very quiet. If the amenities were as they advertised I would stay here again.

No food left for breakfast. Cut my thumb badly. No first aid kit. Called and texted both numbers listed on information sheet. Called a 2nd time and retexted. No response - EVER. Beautiful house but terrible oversight. I am very surprised and more than disappointed that no one called concerning my cut and bleeding. Very dangerous for a business. I would NEVER recommend this Inn. "Accident waiting to happen". Complete waste of my money. Joel S

Very well-maintained inn in a quiet part of Albany (although on a Main Street. Clean, cheerful, well-lit, well-equipped. responsive hosts, although not on site. Someone thought carefully about how to keep this older building up to modern standards, and the effort has paid off.

Found this place on short notice, when I had to travel to Albany urgently to see a family member at Albany Medical Center, and I can't say enough good things about it. It's an old mansion that has been renovated and converted to a B&B type business. No formal breakfast but there is a kitchen with various food available at no cost. I got in late at night and needed something to hold me over until the morning, and found bagels, Chobani yogurt, fresh fruit etc in the kitchen. Also a deluxe water filtration system. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Sure, there are some paint chips missing in a few places but the place has wonderful character. Entry and room keys are digital with a code that is emailed to you, so no need for formal check-in. Great location right across from Washington Park. Last but not least, it's $50/night less than the Hilton across from the hospital, or any other corporate hotel in Albany proper. And you can prepare meals here, like an Airbnb, if you want to save on food expenses during your stay. Again, I can't say enough good things about this place. Pay no heed to the guy who cut his thumb (there's an ER right down the road, thumb guy!)

My stay at the Washington Park Inn was a bit of a mixed bag. The good: -I love, love, loved the beautiful, ample front porch appointed with rocking chairs and small tables (large enough for a laptop or a plate/beverage). It's covered and raised, offering a beautiful view of Madison Ave and the skate park at Washington park. -The bed in my room was comfortable -The building itself is gorgeous. Built in the late 1800s, it's beautifully restored and wonderfully historic -The room was spacious The less than stellar: -I stayed in room #2. It was sparsely appointed. It had a desk that was all glass, very narrow, pretty wobbly, and ultimately not terribly functional. Other than a few hooks on the wall that had coathangers hanging from the hooks provided, there was no dresser, closet, or any other convenient spot to unpack and store clothing. Essentially, other than hanging up a couple dresses, I was relegated to living out of my suitcase. I travel often, so this is not super ideal for me. -The bathroom was also sparsely decorated. With a pedestal sink and a small table by the door (no where near the sink), there was no real good place to keep one's toiletries (the back of the toilet? It was kind of inconvenient). A table by the sink would have been appreciated (and plenty of room for one!). The kitchen is stocked with basics (bagels, eggs, cheese, salami, milk, juice). One morning, I attempted to make coffee, but was disappointed to find the only options for cream was a little Almond milk left in the fridge. While possibly not the ideal spot for me, for those into historical sites who maybe are a-ok with more basic accommodations, the Washington Inn could possibly be just the spot.

Beautifully renovated, immaculately maintained inn just outside of downtown Albany, across from a park. Although it's on a major street, it is QUIET, maybe because it is set back from the street. I stayed here for two nights and was impressed with the place. There is a lot of thought that went into how it is set up, but it seems effortless. The shared kitchen has just about anything you'd require for a basic breakfast, and there is a beautiful dining room. The parking was ample, the room was well furnished, the price was good value, and I would gladly return.

Washington Park Inn This was an interesting B&B. We never saw any of the staff. We arrived at 6pm. We received check-in instructions by email so the lack of staff wasn't a problem. We are not early risers, so we didn't get breakfast, but it smelled great. You have 24/7 access to the kitchen with lots of snack options. The baked goods were wonderful. The room was comfortable and VERY clean. The inside decorating is more modern than the outside would lead you to believe. Great TV in the room. There are only thin curtains on the windows in the room we were in (room 6), so the sun shines in brightly in the morning. Close to several eating options and plenty of off-street parking.

I stayed at the Washington Park Inn while I was visiting Albany for a concert. It's a beautiful B&B style place. It felt a lot like staying in someone's home. Very cozy, melding the modern decor with the historic architecture. There's a small lot in the back to park. The entrance is in the front. The owner provided us keys to our room and showed us around the space. There's a kitchen with snacks, breakfast food and drinks, which is all a lovely addition (do your own dishes and be a considerate guest!). A lot like if you're staying at home! There are a couple common areas to relax, watch TV, and hang out. Our room was great - perfect for an overnight stay with big windows overlooking the street and neighborhood. The bed was cozy - a firm memory foam. We also had a small twin bed on the way to the bathroom although we didn't need or use it. The bathroom is spacious and came with the necessary amenities. The TV was hooked up to wifi + Netflix so we watched a random show before falling asleep after we returned from the concert. It's easily walkable to the nearby bars and restaurants down Madison Ave. We walked to a few spots, which was nice on a crisp spring evening.

Never book this place for long term! I paid $2,400 for 30 nights stay last Nov. because of my work. My job terminated and I only stayed 5 nights till beginning of Jan. I offered generous rates and they agreed to refund $1,500 instead of $2,000 in Jan. The owner, Terra, stated that she would refund by the end of Feb. I waited but she never contacted me. When I reached her, she would send a refund check. It never happened. Since Covid-19 breakout in March, I have patiently waited till now. I contacted her again but no answer returned. I am filing to small claims court with her texts as well!
