Stannade i för en drink med ett annat par. Kallt lokalt urval av öl tillsammans med några favoriter. Önska att jag hade försökt huset lager efter att ha läst recensioner - nästa gång. Vi var där på en tidig lördag eftermiddag så det var inte särskilt upptagen. En mycket intim miljö med privata bås. Det hade en cool gammal känsla och jag kan tänka mig att gå ensam eller med en annan grupp och dela bra drycker och en bra tid. Prova whisky ingefära skottet! Jag är inte en stor whisky-fan men ginger chaser gjorde det tålligt! Ginger shooter är housemade och är ett måste för någon ginger fan. Vi har alla lite förkylning och det tycktes öppna oss helt och hållet. Definitivt en upplevelse. Skulle definitivt komma tillbaka om var i grannskapet igen.

Jag gick med två vänner för att ha en nattkåpa och mat. Vi väntade på att beställa mat och dryck när bartendern frågade oss för vårt ID s, vilket bara händer i afterparty barer eller platser där det inte finns någon mattjänst. Jag hade mitt stad-ID som har mitt födelseår och visar att jag är äldre nog att vara där. Hon vägrade ta min beställning, jag frågade om jag kunde sitta på boothen utan att beställa drycker, men hon sa att jag inte kunde stanna eller äta någonstans i hela anläggningen. Jag bad om att ge en detaljerad förklaring av frågan, men istället gav hon oss ett mycket nedslående och oförskämt svar som inte gjorde någon mening. Jag bad henne vara mer artig, och som ett svar kastade hon bort min väns öl utan att ens fråga om han ville stanna. Till följd av detta beslutade vi att lämna i mitten av det värsta rant som du kan ha med kundtjänst.
Jag tittade på andra beskyddare recensioner, och bartendern attityden verkade diskriminerande mot människor av färg. Alltid samma bartender som arbetar på lördagskväll i baren. Förvänta dig att ha den värsta erfarenheten i en pseudo - irländsk bar.

Totalt älskar jag denna pub. Först har det ett bra namn: Black Rabbit. Belysningen är mörk och humörlig, med röd accentbelysning. Det finns gott om sittplatser i baren, vid stängda bås nära baren och öppna bord på baksidan. Det finns också ett litet utomhusutrymme med bänkar för sommarnätter eller en vinterrök.

Medan deras ölutbud bör sätta mest, rekommenderar jag definitivt Black Rabbit lager. Den har smaken av en lättare öl, men ser mörk ut, så man kan säga att den liknar sitt namn. För $ 4 / pint under happy hour kan du inte gå fel. Min personliga favorit är dock deras whiskyval. Jag är en stor fan av deras gingerback, som är ett skott av whisky jagade med ett skott av färsk ingefärajuice. För dem som gillar ingefära är det här en behandling.

Puben har ett urval av mellanmål - jag har provat deras bratwurst och chips och var inte helt nöjd med det, men andra saker på menyn som jag inte har försökt men har piqued min nyfikenhet är olivolja / pickle tallrik och ost / charcuterie-facket. Jag är inte villig att skriva av maten från en erfarenhet.

Det finns en mycket gammal TV i denna bar, där de spelar ett sortiment av gamla TV-program eller filmer. För större evenemang (stora sportevenemang, val etc.) ska de använda en projektor. Kom inte hit om du vill titta på TV - kom hit för en lugn dryck med en bok, chatta med lokalbefolkningen eller delta i "Nerd Night" trivia (jag tror på tisdagar kl 8 s.

Det är svårt att hitta en trevlig pub som verkligen känns lokal här i NYC. Rättvist att säga att jag är en svart kaninomvandlare. Skål!

Fin liten lokal pub med en sval, lummig trädgård på baksidan. Priser är bra och det är mysiga inomhus under vintern och roligt med onödigt vetande nätter och liknande.

Den svarta "Kanin" är en typisk irländsk Bar i Brooklyn och tre saker gjorde den besök mycket speciell

1) Varje tisdag de är att göra alla frågesportsälskare hör natt (Nerd Alert).  Detta var mycket roligt. Den frågor var mycket svårt för oss tyskar men vi samarbetat med både lokalbefolkning och gjorde ok. Den enda nackdelen för mig var att det föreföll som om värdar på den onödigt vetande natt hade inte genomförts fullt ut beredd (det var några problem med några svar) och att de var lite för berusad själva.

2) De serverar lokala öl som är alltid trevligt att ha när du är i det området.

3) Stället har en sorts Beergarden är öppen, det är mer som en bakgård med bänkar, där du kan ha en rök. Detta är mycket sällsynt att finna, så om du röker och du vill att ha en öl och en cigarett är detta en plats för dig. Priserna är fint (7 $ \öl) och är området väl värt att utforska (heller före eller efter den öl).
