From when you first walk in, this place looks very tiny, mostly bar with a few tables in front and high tops along the side wall. However, when we checked in, we were taken to the back where there is an “L” shaped area of additional, larger tables. The menu is the perfect size and most of what we got was delicious. I just wish that the octopus had been cooked a bit more. Everything was very nicely presented and the ambiance was very cozy.  The service wasn’t the best, our server kept acting like she couldn’t hear us, but I would definitely go back for the vibes and food.

TLDR It's overpriced for what it is and the service was poor.

I was pretty excited to go to Aldama in person after getting referred from at least a couple of people and also having a somewhat enjoyable delivery meal from them, but ultimately I left disappointed.

Went with a group of 4 which allowed for us to try just about everything on the menu.

The guacamole was very expensive and there was really nothing special about it.

Next we had the cecina. Glad we tried it, but again kind of underwhelming.

We tried the Vulcan taco and the other. These were both delicious. No complaints on the flavor. Pretty expensive though.

For entrees we had the pulpo and the macadamia nut and peanut dish. Probably should have chosen differently. I bet the steak dish would have been better.

I would have left 4 stars on the food alone, but between the not great service, being rushed out and the menu being overpriced, they only earn 3 stars from me.

Had a great brunch with friend. Food was a lit bit spicy but delicious, cocktails option was amazing. The reason I give 4 star because they called for confirm the reservation a day before around 11pm. Unfortunately, I didn’t pick up the phone, but no text message follow up. When I arrived there, the staffs was very confused about my reservation.

I have been here several times and continue to love it. Come for happy hour (5-7p daily) and order the margarita, mezcal de sangre frozen, guacamole (the salsa macha on top makes this special), and any of the tacos or tostadas. The backyard is such a vibe, but HH is only at the indoor bar. The backyard would make a great group dinner spot (several large tables). Also, the staff is so friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful cosy bar and restaurant. We managed to snag 2 top on a Friday night.  Enjoyed the service, cocktails and tasty bites.  Some awesome dishes. The octopus was particularly tasty. The portion was generous and the meat was tender. Tacos were good as was the duck. Good flavour profiles and a stiff Gibson.

Steamed tacos were also very interesting.  The atmosphere felt local, welcoming and slightly buzzy. Great Friday night spot.
