Jag borde ha vetat att detta var en dålig restaurang från början, när jag var tvungen att fråga värdinna för ett bord medan hon satt utanför på sin bärbara dator! Hon var mycket oförskämd och motbjudande när jag tog de brända kycklingvingarna tillbaka till henne eftersom de var torra och fortfarande hade några fjädrar på och bad om vår check. I stället för att be om ursäkt och att bestämma situationen gav hon mig en negativ attityd. Denna restaurang har ett långsamt kök och sniglar för servrar! Slöseri med tid och pengar. Jag bad också om en chef och hon sa "Jag har ansvaret idag faktiskt! "? Lycka till! Kan inte servera 4 bord, föreställ dig när denna plats blir upptagen? Mat är riktigt bra. Men tjänsten kan vara lite bättre. Servitörer ler inte. Vi var tvungna att be om salt och varm sås två gånger. När när salt kom fram efter 5 minuter kom en annan servitör och tog bara saltet bort från bordet. Ingen ursäkt, nej är du klar, bara tog den och gav den till ett annat bord. Uppenbarligen har restaurangen endast 1 saltskakare. Badrummen var också en enda röra. Sinkfasett flyttas från en sida till en annan.

Vegetabiliska tacos och vegetales tacos (olika rätter) var båda mycket läckra! Inte riktigt Tex Mex eller "äkta" mexikansk stilmat - mer modern / med en twist. Musik var alltför högt, men vänlig personal och bra atmosfär annars. Salsa de gav med marker var ovanligt - mer av en blandad typ av dip - men fortfarande gott.

Jag bor ganska nära och frekvent denna plats främst på grund av bekvämlighet, men efter min senaste resa med en vän som var helt rädd av bristen på service är jag inte säker på att jag kommer tillbaka. Det var inte särskilt trångt eller under typiska restaurang rush hr men waitor och servitris ansvarig för vår parti var ganska hemskt på deras jobb. De tillbringade majoriteten av vår tid där chattar bort i baren och försummar att känna tomma glasögon (tom för nästan hela måltiden!) Och till och med fortsatte att ta ytterligare 20 minuter för att få oss en check efter att vi hade haft tallrikar och andra saker som tas bort av busspersonalen. Jag kommer att ge baksidan av huset kredit som vår mat levererades snabbt och oanvända föremål borttagna från bordet i tid också. Jag har frekventerat Cantina så länge jag har bott i LIC men det kan ha varit min sista resa. : (

Vi kom över denna brunch plats av misstag medan på väg till en LIC brunch plats. Vi hade läst recensioner om dålig service och medioker mat men utsidan sittplatser såg så inbjudande att vi bestämde oss för att stanna. Mat var fast. Vi beställde en äggvita omelett och vegetariska tacos samt en frusen margarita. Allt bra, inte otroligt men slå platsen. Och utomhus sittplatser var lysande. Vi var glada att vi stannade.

Vi åkte till happy hour en fredag efter jobbet. Baren var vänlig och Normandiska publiken bartendern är mycket vänlig och personlig. Vi njöt av den och nachos som var riktigt bra!

Här är den sak, första jag am inte en fläkt av platser att besluta att stänga på 3 och öppna tillbaka upp på 5:00. Du är att köra kunder bort och tyvärr det här stället gör att. Jag hade uppgraderat tillbaka från flushing eftersom jag var sugen att äta här bara för att få reda på vid dörren att köket var stängd och var nyöppning kl 17. Jag var inte nöjd! Kudos till Madera (kubansk stället) ner på gatan för att öppna och tillmötesgående gäster!
