Finally tried the famous and well renowned 7th Street Burgers. And was it worth the hype and should it be considered one of the best burger joints of NYC? Well tbh not really. It was ok, it wasn’t the worst or the best. The prices were pretty good and they had seating outside but no seating indoors. Inside it was pretty small. My burger came out pretty quickly, like within 5-7 minutes which was good. I got my burger quickly despite there being a long line in front of me. The customer service was alright, the cashier wasn’t the friendliest, nor was he the rudest. However, he did seem frustrated about the long line. The inside of the store was plain and there wasn’t any decor inside the store. I got the impossible burger, and the taste was alright. It was greasy and oily, but tasted ok. The meat tasted like real meat. You tasted the sauce in the end, and not at the beginning. The burger wasn’t that filling, and I got hungry afterwards. I think Burgers on B, five minutes away has much better smash burgers. Their smash burgers were more flavorful and tasty. They were also cheaper and customer service is better. There are way less people going in and there is also indoor seating with nice decor/design inside the store. So on this battle of the smash burger, I say Burgers on B definitely wins, and I would recommend going there instead of 7th Street Burger. 7th Street Burger is now more of a chain, while Burgers on B isn’t. But I’m glad I was able to try 7th Street Burger to see whether it was worth the hype and to see whether it was one of the best burgers in NYC.

Burger is quite good but small, so I was left kind of still hungry after my single burger. To make up for it, the prices are quite good and cheap for a quick bite. We also got the smash fries, which were really good and similar to stuff found at places like In-N-Out.

Service was fast and efficient. They got the food out to us within 20 minutes. They were also accommodating to allergies, as they changed some of the menu ingredients due to an allergy in my party.

There is no indoor seating, but there is outdoor seating.

We did a smash burger 🍔 tour while in NYC and 7th Street hit the spot.  We tried the original and Brooklyn location. The original location was small and had no seating but we didn't come for that, we came for the burgers. The double shows off the seasoned beef with crusty patties of melted cheese and just enough special sauce. The Martin's potato bun is a nice addition. Brooklyn scored higher on the atmosphere but the burgers weren't as crusty.

I picked up the burger at the East Village location. It's really a take out place, although they have some seats right in front of the restaurant. I had the Beyond Burger with all the fixings on it, including the special sauce. It's delicious 😋.  The fries are good, too. It cost under ten dollars.

I don't understand the hype about this place.  The Burger is edible but it's not better than other Smashburgers. The price is good.  The place is basically a hole in the wall.  The person taking the order didn't seem happy to be there.   There is no seating indoors but they have some outdoor seating.  I think for me this is a one and done
