I came to Dons Bogam with my coworkers, and we had such a great time. This place definitely feels more upscale than your usual K-BBQ spots, and it was worth it.

The meat was super high quality—everything we ordered was tender and full of flavor. What surprised me was how well the meal paired with wine. We usually go for soju or beer with K-BBQ, but their wine selection was really good and added a fancy touch to the night.

The vibe was classy but still comfortable—perfect for a work dinner or a nice night out. The service was super friendly and attentive, and they made sure we were taken care of the whole time.

If you’re in the mood for K-BBQ and want something a little more elevated, I’d definitely recommend Dons Bogam.

Since amazing Korean food is what I grew up with, I'm VERY critical when it comes to Korean food joints.

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot. Yes it's a bit pricier than most Korean BBQ places in Ktown but the quality of the meat, their banchan (side dishes), the service, and ambiance were well worth the pricetag! Dinner for 5, 4 males/1 female, came out to closer to $350ish including tip, but that was all pretty much food lol  (4 sodas and 1 beer).

The usual suspects of brisket, marinated short rib, pork belly were all prime cuts and super delicious but the stars of the night were their beef tongue bbq (ordered 2 orders of this) and their bulgogi grill pan!!  Oh and their pepper & scallion pancake and their seafood pancake were perfectly crisp and delicious too plus I didn't come out of their smelling like Korean BBQ smoke so that's a BIG ++ in my book!

I went here for lunch and had the BO Special (see photo) which is the short ribs. It was solid. It was just very slightly sweet and salty, and came with onions. They also brought out a bunch of additional smaller foods (see photo) like kimchi, sprouted beans, beef & garlic. I liked the smaller plates a lot. It was a solid amount of meat. It also came with white rice and I left a little tired.

The side dishes were all clean, not too strong in flavor, and delicious. We ordered the fresh short ribs, and the meat was clean and cooked perfectly by the servers, making it even more enjoyable. Meat always tastes better when someone else grills it for you!

For dessert, we ordered bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles). It suited my taste, but the seasoning was a bit too strong, which was a bit disappointing. I think the mul naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth) is cleaner and tastier. Additionally, we ordered the lunch special combo with bibimbap and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). The bibimbap sauce was delicious, and overall, the dish was flavorful. The doenjang jjigae was mildly seasoned, not too strong, and just right.

The atmosphere was great, and overall, the food was excellent. I highly recommend this place!

One of better k bbqs in NYC, we really enjoyed the meat here. They try to give traditional wooden floor exp which is cool, but it is not the most practical way of getting in and out (not to mention I felt bad for the dude cooking the bbq on his knees for inside table). Overall pretty good quality of food, service, and vibe. Reservation recommended for dinner time.

Don's Bogam BBQ & Wine Bar

Bra restaurang! Vi åt där den 2 november, och det var en mycket bra upplevelse. Personalen är utmärkt, och maten är utsökt! Vi vill särskilt lyfta fram bartenderns service, han gjorde vår upplevelse ännu bättre, och vi tackar honom för det. Vi rekommenderar starkt att titta förbi för en drink med honom efter din måltid ! Schweiziska turister.

Låt oss börja med att säga att maten var helt utsökt. Med detta sagt var vår njutning till lunch snabbt avskuren. Restaurangen är mycket dyrt - vi hade en förrätt att dela och sedan den koreanska grill för två och kranvatten och räkningen kom upp till runt $ 180 dollar. Vi ville unna oss en god lunch så vi var ok med att spendera lite mer än vanligt. Servicen var också bra. MEN efter att ha spenderat så mycket på middag, lämna dricks verkade lite av en sträcka för oss så vi bokstavligen lämnade ett litet tips att inte lämna utan att lämna något. På vägen ut räknade servitören dricksen och frågade varför vi bara lämnade sådan dricks och om det var något fel på maten eller servicen. Vi sa att inget var fel men vi lämnade bara vad vi hade råd med - de fortsatte att driva på och säga att kundkretsen normalt lämnar 18 % och återigen upprepade vi att måltiden var dyr och så vi hade inte råd att lämna en så stor dricks. Detta var extremt oförskämt och oavsett hur god maten var, kommer jag inte att gå in igen.

Ny upplevelse för oss med en koreansk BBQ. Vi kan alltså inte jämföra. Det var en kul och smakrik upplevelse. Vi var mycket nöjda. Fantastiskt gott kött. Flera grönsaksrätter som  tillbehör. Fräscht och trevligt serverat.  

Jag måste erkänna att vi beställde det absoluta minimumet för att kvalificera sig för att sitta vid ett bbq-bord (jag tror att minimikravet var 2 bordsskålar). Det var ett behagligt imponerande utbud av autentiska smaker; även om delarna är på den mindre sidan (men inte tillräckligt för att släppa en stjärna). En trevligt underhållande lätt middag med två drinkar var $ 122. 87 (1 app 2 förrätter). Min flickvän säger att det var bättre än att jag låter det låta.

Stekt ris från skaldjur är ur denna värld. Jag rekommenderar det starkt. Det är stekt ris gjort ordentligt med en god mängd skaldjursmix.

Trots en reservation fick de oss att vänta i mer än 20 minuter utan att ens erbjuda ett glas vatten. Det är en upptagen plats som inte respekterar sina klienters tid.

Maten var väldigt god. Men de debiterade fel belopp från kreditkortet. De tog helt enkelt 20 procent tips även om jag valde ett annat belopp. Att rippa människor i tid OCH pengar är ett absolut no - go!

Vi besökte sent på en fredagskväll med våra två unga vuxna söner och deras partners. Vi satt vid ett bbq-bord med två bbq-brännare med mycket släta neddragna individuella ventilationssystem över var och en. Restaurangen är ren och modern, en mycket trevlig och hip atmosfär, full av bord med mestadels unga professionella ser folk, alla chatta animerade.

Våra servrar var två unga män som knappt förlovade sig med oss. Det verkade som om engelska inte var deras första språk, vilket kan ha stått för en del av deras motvilja. Men det kändes mer som om vi förväntades bli bekanta med köket och om inte - våra dåliga.

Även om vi alla hade ätit koreansk bbq tidigare, var vi fortfarande nybörjare att veta vad, hur och hur mycket vi skulle beställa för bordet. Vi vingade det bara och beställde ett gäng mat som var allt gott. Köttet tillagades vid bordet. Våra servrar hanterade matlagningen, vilket vi inte hade förväntat oss. De korta revbenen var vår favorit. De viktigaste artiklarna kom med en enorm mängd kryddor som vi inte visste hur vi skulle använda eller kombinera. Till exempel fick vi två koppar fyllda vertikalt med salladsblad. Att ätas som sallad eller användas som omslag? Vet inte. Med tanke på att våra servrar nästan stillsamma föreställningar ville ingen av oss ställa några frågor, så vi skrattade mycket av vår egen okunnighet och bara provade allt i vilken kombination som helst såg tilltalande ut. Jag är säker på att vi gjorde många kulinariska faux pas!

Tyckte vi om måltiden? Visst, återigen maten var utsökt! men vi hade haft det mer om vi hade erbjudits lite mer vägledning. Skulle vi gå tillbaka? Kanske, men bara efter att ha sett en YouTube-primer på vad och hur man äter koreansk bbq.

Mat och service var fantastisk. Vi gjorde en reservation som jag rekommenderar på Open Table. Efter att ha haft turen att tillbringa tid i Sydkorea, måste jag erkänna att detta var som att äta koreansk BBQ i Seoul. Äktheten hos grillen, den uppmärksamma servicen, köttkvaliteten, Kimchi och inlagda rädisor var ett snitt ovan.

Det finns så många alternativ i K Town men om du vill ha bra grill serveras i en modern atmosfär så är detta ett bra val. Menyn hade alla vanliga köttalternativ från benfria marinerade nötkött korta revben - läckra - till fläskkött marinerade i Cabernet Sauvignon. Bulgogi är kokta med nudlar, lök, svamp och andra grönsaker som skilde sig från vad vi har haft på andra restauranger. De varma nudlarna Janchi - guksu (vetemjölnudlar i skaldjur buljong) var lätta och smakrika. Vi beställde 4 olika kötträtter och det var tillräckligt gott för en fest på 6. Som förväntat fylldes sidrätterna hela tiden. Det mest ovanliga var mash potatis blandat med skivor äpplen. Konstigt men gott. Tjänsten var mycket bra. Definitivt en rolig plats för grupper.

Stannade snabbt av mig själv för en bit medan jag väntade på en klient över gatan. Hade en stor nötkött saftig grillrätt för en trevlig lunch. Platsen hade en bra atmosfär och var ganska trångt på 32 nd street. KOREA stad till lunch. Mest sannolikt gå tillbaka dit för en affärslunch i framtiden.

Överlägset bästa stället vi åt vid samtidigt i New York. Första gången försöker koreansk mat och det var fantastiskt. Delarna var generösa med tanke på den exceptionella kvaliteten. Restaurangen / toaletter var mycket rena (något som verkar vara en sällsynthet i New York - särskilt tourtistområden). Personalen var mycket professionell och uppmärksam, men inte överst. En otroligt stilren restaurang med dyra måltid val på $ 99 hela vägen till drog fläsk måltid för $ 16, vilket var mer än tillräckligt för en person och enastående kvalitet. Skulle definitivt rekommendera.
