This may not be my absolute favorite ramen place for the price and flavor, but it is certainly very good. I appreciate the quick and efficient service. This is not a place you come to hang out for hours to catch up with friends. You're actually better off coming as an individual than in a group as you'll be seated quicker. I would recommend checking out the menu beforehand, it's not extensive, so you can order quickly off the screens provided. I liked the coziness of the space and they even have the sound of hustle and bustle of the restaurant as background noise which I found entertaining. The ramen itself was delicious, the broth flavorful. Just a tad too spicy for my liking but great nonetheless. I had all the fixings and it was more than enough food. I would recommend arriving just before 5pm if you're getting dinner to avoid the wait.

Ichiran New York is hands-down one of my go-to ramen spots in the city! Be prepared for a wait, but trust me, it's well worth it. I've had the veggie ramen multiple times, and the flavor is consistently exceptional. The unique, rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles make for a truly unforgettable dining experience. And their matcha pudding - it's a delicious finishing touch to an already amazing meal! If you're a ramen lover like me, Ichiran is an absolute must-try!

We went on a Monday night before a Broadway show no line and the wait time was about five minutes. Very courteous staff place was clean. The food was very very good, everything was fresh and there is an option for you to actually take home a Ramen kit which I thought was great.

Had to have a go at this one given all the hype it has in Tokyo. Queue is long but worth the wait given the quality is pretty much similar, especially if you are craving for a hot bowl of noodles on a very cold day. However, that said, the price point of $22 onwards for a basic original Tonkotsu Ramen is really way overpriced. The amount of ingredients (just a few slices of meat) does not do the price any further justice as well.

Service is great and washroom is very clean; as expected from a Japanese restaurant. Seating is in a silo-ed single seat concept - mirroring Japan’s style. Water is free flow at self-service basis. Pretty popular with locals and also tourists.

Best ramen in the NYC❤

The line is not short, but I guarantee that the wait is worthy it😍.

The soup is just super delicious, very strong flavor. The noodles are chewy, accompanied by the soup, when they melted in the mouth, that's the perfect moment!

The only thing that needs to be improved is that the amount of the pork is too little😂, only 2 slices, and I suggest to have more, like 4 to be doubled.

I definitely will visit again.

Jag kom hit för att försöka fördriva tiden, och det gjorde ingen besviken! Jag skulle rekommendera denna plats till alla, men gå på egen hand så att du kan ha hela upplevelsen!

Letar efter ramen under ett kort besök på Manhattan, kom vi till ICHIRAN för middag baserat på de allmänt positiva recensionerna. Vi lämnade nöjd, men inte blåst bort. Läs vidare för detaljer. 

Matsalen för ICHIRAN skiljer sig från konventionella restauranger. Vid entrén finns pekskärmsdisplayer där du beställer din middag med en rad ramalternativ. Värdinnan hjälpte oss genom skärmarna. När du beställt och betalat dirigeras du till platser i en lång rad av individuella bås, som påminner om en klassisk japansk rambar. För par och fester kan avdelare mellan platser skjutas åt sidan. 

Vi valde det klassiska sidoalternativet (sallad, svamp, ägg) för att passa till vår klassiska ram. Den rejäla serveringen innehöll ett fint förhållande mellan nudlar och buljong. Deras "medelhöga" hot sauce var i mitten. Efter att ha provtagit kanterna på buljongen blandade jag ihop saker och lade till alternativen. Rätten, totalt sett, var mycket bra. Jag skulle föredra en tyngre buljong, men nudlarna var mycket goda och chachi var utmärkt. 

Jämfört med andra ramar, med Kodawari platser i Paris som referenspunkt, var ICHIRAN ett snäpp under samtidigt som det var nästan dubbelt så dyrt som Kodawari. Ändå har vi haft vår middag och kommer att återvända på vår nästa Manhattan besök.

Ichiran är en exceptionell restaurang, särskilt lämplig för dem som söker en traditionell ram upplevelse. 

Även om det väcker atmosfären i japanska anläggningar, kommer det tyvärr med amerikanska turistpriser. 

Vi förbättrade vår måltid genom att lägga till extra Katsu, sjögräs, svamp och mjukt - kokt ägg, vilket resulterar i en rejäl och tillfredsställande maträtt. 

Vid inpassering betalar kunden vid disken och behåller sina biljetter tills de sitter. Matplatsen består av traditionella bås med små väggar som separerar varje pall. Gästerna kan hänga sina rockar eller väskor, och en vattenautomat finns i mitten av gången för kallt filtrerat vatten. 

För att beställa drycker kan kunderna signalera servern bakom gardinen på motsatt sida av montern. Detta möjliggör önskemål som dessert, drycker eller ytterligare måltidsartiklar. 

Matupplevelsen var smidig och trevlig, med en traditionell atmosfär. De delar av Japan som jag har besökt delar liknande atmosfär, och även om smaken kan vara överlägsen i moderlandet, kan denna bedömning vara partisk. 

Jag rekommenderar starkt Ichiran, särskilt för dess generösa portionsstorlekar av nudlar. Det är dock lämpligt att komma med en aptit.

Jag var så glad att prova det här stället eftersom jag hade hört riktigt bra saker. Jag beställde ett mjukkokt ägg med ramen för 3 dollar extra och de skalade det inte ens - jag fick skala det själv. Sedan var portionen också liten för en så dyr måltid och ärligt talat var det bara gott inte bra. Riktigt besviken. (Detta var inte en middag i erfarenhet)

Var väldigt taggad på att testa ett ställe som är tillägnat sologäster! Jag ser alltid en lång kö utanför kåken, så var nyfiken ett tag på hur bra Ichiran faktiskt är. Det gjorde ingen besviken! 

Kön till middagen var inte så dålig, även om det var ganska kallt ute. Snart blev vi införda och jag hade en pipande varm skål med ramsen framför mig! Jag beställde klassikern och fick även en flaska mousserande sake vilket definitivt förhöjde upplevelsen. Jag blev förvånad över hur mört fläsket var och hur mycket kött och pålägg de gav. Ärligt talat ett bra värde med tanke på hur hög kvalitet ingredienserna är!

OMG! Visste inte vad som väntade. Ramen var utmärkt. Jag kan kalla det stallplats var oväntat men gjorde det så roligt. Inte säker på om det är som denna andra platser men vår första. Även om du verkligen inte ser din server Eric böjde sig ner så att jag kunde fånga en bild av honom. Vi kommer definitivt att gå tillbaka! Precis vad vi letade efter i en kall februaridag! Mums!

Den bästa Ramen jag haft hittills utanför Japan. 
Jag älskar deras koncept. Du ställer dig i kö (inga reservationer) , beställer, betalar, sätter dig i ett bås och du får bara din mat och dryck. Du ser faktiskt inte servitörens ansikte men de förklarar allt för dig. 
Ramen var mycket läcker. Du beställer dem som du vill ha det (eller så följer du deras rekommendation).

Jag önskar att jag kunde skatta högre än en femma. De extra fasta nudlarna, fläskbuljong och uppgraderat fläsk var helt bortom utsökt. Det slutade med att jag fick en halv beställning nudlar till. Matcha isteet var gott, och matchadesserten var utsökt. Servicen var utmärkt.

Om man är i new york så måste man komma förbi hit. De godaste ramen vi ätit, så himla gott. Och personalen så himla trevliga. Gå inte för sent bara för så får man stå i kö och vänta, men det är det värt

Eftersom min mage fortfarande lider av den klassiska ramen som jag hade i Ichiran för 4 timmar sedan (21.00 den 3 december), håller jag det här inlägget kort.
Ramen var under kokt!
Det var pulverformigt och klibbigt och jag kände det råa mjölet i nudlen!
Det var som medium sällsynta ramen!
Eftersom det var min sena middag, svält jag men jag var tvungen att sluta äta när magen började känna sig illa!
Det är en förmögenhet att jag bor i närheten så jag kan ta vila omedelbart. Under de senaste fyra timmarna har jag upplevt matkänslor. Svettningar, kräkningar och yrsel. Jag hoppas att dessa känslor kommer att försvinna snart.

Allt var perfekt tills jag har bett om extra buljong. Jag skulle betala för det.
Chefen kom och sa att det är en företagspolicy: ingen extra buljong (nämns inte på menyn).

Kan någon snälla förklara mig, hur rimligt är det att kunna ha en extra portion nudlar men inte extra buljong?
Så människor som faktiskt har mer buljong som nudlar inte kan njuta av sina ramen på samma sätt som de som har det tvärtom?
Jag är verkligen förvirrad här.

Stoppade in på en kall och regnig kväll. Jag ville ha uttag men de ger inte uttag. Ät bara in. En skål med ramen är $ 20 men det var utsökt! De tog oss ner till källarområdet till ett konstigt uppdelat räkneområde för att beställa. Det var väldigt coolare än konstigt faktiskt. Jag älskade det! Detta är ett måste-försöka äventyr för alla i Times Square-området.

Vi har ätit flera gånger på deras plats i Tokyo så att ha en restaurang i NYC var väldigt spännande. Hur annorlunda var det att äta i NYC på grund av inga linjer, betala i slutet av måltiden men fördubbla priset. Den klassiska Tonkotsu-ramen var absolut bäst, buljongen var enastående.

Jag är ett stort fan av ichiran ramen. Jag besöker Japan 4 x per år, och varje gång jag ser till att göra en resa (eller 2) till Ichiran, även om linjerna kan vara nära en timme (brukade vara nära 2).

Så jag blev mycket förvånad över att hitta Ichiran ett par kvarter från mitt hotell när jag gick hem. Smaken är äkta, du förlorar säkert inte så mycket. Fläskkött är något annorlunda än i Japan, men ändå välsmakande. Lite skillnader från Japan: du betalar efter din måltid här, till skillnad från Japan när du måste betala förskott. Och priset! Det är mer än dubbelt så mycket som du betalar i Japan. En skål med ramen för $ 19 är brant! Och det är anledningen till att jag inte gav dessa 5 stjärnor

Åh förresten, de erbjuder din första nudelfyllning gratis fram till mars 2020. Åtminstone hjälper det dig att få tillbaka ett värde.

Totto Ramen

Genomsnittlig ram med genomsnittlig service. Inte i närheten av originalramen men ok att sluta om man är hungrig och vill äta något renare.

Som familj älskar vi japansk mat och denna plats är pris - kvalitet - klokt en stor Sök. Den kryddig ramen var mycket fyllning och läckra. Tjänsten var mycket snabb och vår servitör var stor. De accepterar bara kontanter, vilket vi inte visste, men var lyckligtvis inte ett problem.

Vi väntade oss på en uppställning men blev omedelbart sittande. Super vänlig och bra service. Vi älskade våra Ramen och även stekt kyckling. Definitivt skulle gå tillbaka igen.

Det förvånar mig om hur många människor lämnar ok recensioner för denna plats. Personalen är vänlig, stämningen är uppvärmning, maten är verkligen läcker till den punkt som även de pickiest eatersna älskar det. Ett bra pris för god kvalitet och kvantitet. En stor uppfriskande smak av Japan på gatorna i NY.

Jag slutade av Totto Ramen, efter att mina vänner hade berättat för mig om det - de nämnde långa väntetider, men om du var själv är sannolikheten att snagging en plats i baren lättare. Jag gick på en söndagskväll och det fanns ingen linje.

Jag hade kyckling paitain och det var ganska bra. Inte den bästa ramen jag någonsin har haft men jag hittade buljongen väldigt tjock och det fanns inte mycket buljong jämfört med andra ramens jag har haft. Buljongen var inte så varmt. Denna plats är liten och endast kontant.

Totalt sett skulle jag rekommendera och prova igen.
