Simple, comfortable, understated elegance with really cool raffia chairs. Felt like a fancier version of our old family dinners in the basement at nonna's. Staff was all wonderful! Super polite and attentive. Our waitress was wonderful. It felt like talking to a friend who'd give you their honest opinion instead of someone trying to add to your bill. She spoke clearly and gave explanations of the dishes. While we were waiting for our dessert, she came by to say goodnight since her shift was over and ensured us her coworker would take care of us. We asked if we should pay before she left, but she said thank you that's not necessary since they are 'family and share all tips at the end of the day'! I am 100% convinced this is why absolutely everyone who works here is so amazingly polite and always smiling. Ok. So food.. We started with a mixed bread basket and olive oil for dipping and mini veal arancini. I have never been one to like arancinis or veal for that matter, but these were the perfect size and tasted amazing. For appetizers, we had the veal meatballs (again, not my choice but not an overpowering veal taste, so I was pleased) and the fried zucchini and smoked mozzarella. I ordered the couscous and seafood dish that was a bit heavy on the fishy taste and a bit too oily (my boyfriend agreed and he's not a picky eater). He went with the cannelloni with pork. AMAZING!  Dessert was delizia del limone that he
wasn't overly impressed with, two kinds of biscotti, and our usual double espressos. I was a little surprised by the lack of options on the food menu. Oh! And one of the drinks was  pricier than some of the food.

We were bamboozled by the charming exterior, but do not be fooled. From the inside decor being more similar to a Midwest Ramada Inn conference room, to the odd service where you don’t have one waiter, but instead a ‘team’ of 8-10 different people waiting on you, but not the type of team you want, it’s more like the little league soccer team where no one knows what’s really going on, and it’s just very chaotic, to the food, that while not technically inedible, did nothing for the taste buds desires, especially at the price point, we continually thought we were being punked and someone was going to jump out with cameras and then take us to the actual delicious food our eyes had deceived us into believing existed based on the facade. Lesson Learned.. never judge a restaurant by its exterior.

So happy to have found a nice restaurant in our neighborhood! Everyone was really friendly and accommodating and the food was incredible.

I dined in Sunday evening and found the food and service to be unimpressive. It was not bad and it was not great.  Near the front door there was a portable heating device that was absolutely red hot but unlabeled and uncovered. I had on my Montcler jacket upon exiting the restaurant and it got absolutely burnt and ruined. The jacket was burnt because of negligence (placing it in a blind spot unmarked).

When I brought the issue to management’s attention the owner was unapologetic and uninterested in my issue. I was playing a game of telephone between the manager and owner because they would not exit the office to even talk to me face to face. I eventually got an estimate from a local store to repair the damage for $400. Ownership was not interested in helping out to pay, however they moved the furnace away from where it was originally.

I’m unimpressed and disappointed by how management comported itself, and I’m just happy it was only my jacket and not burned more seriously. I am also not posting anonymously because this is a 100% true and accurate complaint. Be weary of dining in if you have any issues.
