One of my favorite dessert places in NYC! Salswee offers a huge variety of high-quality bakery items, both sweet and savory. All food looks amazing and delicately-made. I love their fruit cake series, not too sweet and full of flavor. The black truffle croissant is also very aromatic. My favorite drink is the Jasmine latte!

The inside of this dessert cafe is so cute and immaculate. Seating is ample and we visited around 6 PM on a weekday and it was moderately busy. Some items were sold out which is always a good sign. We tried the coconut cake and a financier, the coconut cake which had a mango passion fruit jelly filling was so good! Highly recommend visiting to try out their cakes - not too sweet (best praise) and not heavy at all!

This review is specifically for the mango croissant. It’s a bit disingenuous to call it a mango croissant when it’s only three cubes of mango, and then the hidden filling is a bland blueberry whipped cream without detectable mango.

Also, I’m not exaggerating when I say that 80% of the volume is whipped cream. It was more whipped cream than croissant. I had to squeeze out and discard most of the filling to make the croissant palatable. The fats coated my mouth in an unpleasant way like palm oil. When I want to eat whipped cream by the spoonful, I will do it on my own terms by ordering a strawberry shortcake; when I buy a croissant, I expect to eat a croissant. I’m clearly not the target market for it.

It’s a shame as the croissant itself was pretty nice with layers that separated into crispy edges. I might give this place another try as the other pastries looked nice, but the mango croissant is a hard avoid.

Service was extremely friendly. The spot’s bathed in warm light. Prices aren’t bad.

If you want asian inspired french pastry’s this is the spot! I got the Strawberry croissant with whipped cream and it was absolutely amazing. The soft croissant with the cold whipped cream with fresh fruits blended really well together. I also got the lemonade because I was in need of a sugary drink and I cannot tell you but it was indeed one of the best lemonade drinks I’ve ever tried! Perfect amount of sweetness along with sourness just complimented each other so well. The staff here are also really friendly and the seating is very aesthetic for photos. If you are ever nearby definitely check this place out!
