The basil chicken over rice was simply amazing.

The pad see ew was okay. It lacked a bit of flavor and dimension that I often find at other Thai restaurants.

However, the prices are great. The portions are a bit small; so it would be nice if they had optional larger sizes for a slightly higher price?

I’d certainly recommend giving Terra Thai a visit. There’s not much indoor seating besides a small makeshift counter with stools. They are definitely a takeout place. The staff and owner is very friendly. I’m sure I’ll be back for the basil chicken over rice.

I had high expectations for Terra Thai, but I found it underwhelming. After chatting with the hostess about my allergies, I ordered the green curry. The dish was fine, but nothing spectacular about it. The restaurant is charming with a cozy atmosphere. The prices were great, but the food wasn’t as great as I hoped.

I unfortunately moved away from NYC, but writing this review cause I was thinking about the basil chicken tonight. Truly one of the hidden gems of NYC. The owners are incredible and kind, just amazing human beings. And the food is to die for. The basil chicken is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Unique, fresh, and spicy. Check it out if you are in the area!

Terra Thai was recommended as a “best lunch spot” on Reddit so my fiancé and I went during a day trip from Baltimore. He had the basil chicken which was sublime and I had the amazing drunken noodles. We shared the most delicious pork dumplings. The food was stellar but the best part was the service!  So kind and friendly! We will be back and I hope everyone visits and supports this business when in the east village.

Such a cute spot - food was delicious (pad Thai and pad see ew). The lady at the front was also very nice. There’s 2 seats but otherwise take out is better. Would definitely recommend!
