A group of us went here to see Abacab... It's been so long, I can't even remember what my impression of this place was from way back...but I took a good look around this time. The place is a bit grungy and retro, but had a good, clean sound system. We saw the concert from the second floor, where they had these stools. Great view, but the backless stools were about as uncomfy as they could be! There was only 1 bar downstairs...but the bartender did a great job. I never had to wait more than a minute. Overall, this is a good, little band venue...and I'd love to drop at least 4 stars, but I felt that they needed a bit of renovation. Adding decent stools on the second floor, for starters?

Venue was easy to park near and the show was on time and Great. Love that Amos' is still the spot to welcome home local talent. We saw The Thurston Howell Band. It was Yacht Rock at its Very Best. Featuring some Charlotte Locals. So much fun and the band was absolutely Amazing!!!!! Go support this local joint. And make sure to go follow the band. So Good.

Everything about this place is bad. The bouncers are rude and push people around inside the venue. Took so long to get in. The drinks were shit. The food looked disgusting, vibe was terrible, speakers were terrible. Everything about this place is horrible. you can find much better places to go have a good time.

DO NOT GO HERE. The worst bar in Charlotte by far. Terrible at hosting concerts. Had bouncers walking around pushing people for no reason. Service was horrible. Ambiance was horrible. I didn't even want to try food because it looked gross. Go literally anywhere other than this place if you want to have a good time. Also, the bartender charged me for too many drinks and argued with me until I proved her wrong. Don't go here. If I could do zero stars I would.

Very nice music venue with some great bands on the schedule. Can buy reserve tickets for stools on second level. You're very close to the bands. Great employees .

Has always been a good, reasonable venue, reasonably priced, good service. However in recent months the sound has changed (not when bands use their own sound engr). The sound is terrible, rides VERY Heavy on the Low ends. You CAN NOT hear the vocals even in front of the singer. Nor the guitars or high end. Bands complaining, many attendees complain, but the words not getting to the management. Bands using their sound guy has a world of difference, take note, make change, cause it's looking like striking venue off list cause they can't get it right after months of waiting.

For the first time I visited this concert venue on Monday for a show and it was great. It reminded me of the Belly Up in San Diego (Solana Beach). There was ample free parking 2-3 blocks away and it was safe. The venue allowed reentry with a stamp on your hand, so that was convenient. I liked the rock n roll posters on the walls and I used to have some of them like the Led Zeppelin one. They also had posters of Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Beastie Boys, NWA, Colbie Caillat, The Beatles, Woodstock, Pink Floyd, etc. The bathroom was surprising clean when I peed. It was easily accessible too. I spent most of the show upstairs because there was more room and it was less crowded than the floor. It provided a good view and enough space to breathe and relax without getting in anybody's way. The staff working at the venue was nice and on the same page. I'd be happy to return and experience another show some day. It was only $18 too.

I liked Amos as a music venue! Hard to judge the atmosphere and the venue too much, because the experience really depends on the performance/band you are seeing. I was super excited to see the band that I saw so the venue seemed really great to me! Check in process was pretty easy. They do a very thorough search of your bags. Wasn't a fan of the card process to buy drinks. You give them your card and they give you a number but I guess it makes it easier with it being loud? Drinks were fairly priced and service was quick! The have plenty of space to stand in front of the stage and they have a loft type area where you can look sound on the stage as well. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you are looking to try a new spot or hear a show from a smaller band!

Just remember to take maybe 3 forms of identification because rude bouncers and ticket confirmation employees will tell you that your ID isn't real if you look even remotely young and you're WELL over 21 years of age. thats the last time I spend money for any event at this venue.
