I had a lovely lunch here on my trip to Charlotte! Located inside the Westin, this place is beautiful and the food and service are excellent! I had the crispy chicken sandwich with a side salad. Great place to eat if you are near the hotel or staying there!

I stayed at the Westin this past week for a conference and decided to eat at the Dogwood which is located inside the hotel. It was not busy at all but many of the conference attendees started to come in after us. I ordered the Halibut and the wings. The halibut was pretty good with a nice flavor on it. It needed just a little bit more seasoning for my liking but it was a nice sized piece of fish. The butter beans were super great. I didn't really care for the wings because they seemed a bit soft for me. The space itself was nice and had a lot of large windows for great people watching. I would come back again but maybe try something else.

What an amazing first dining experience! My only thing for not giving this 5 stars was my terrible choice in drink and I felt my portion size was a little small. I was wanting a hardy helping of duck and dumplings for my main course. We went out to dinner with my friend and his family. We started with the Carolina charcuterie. I wish this came with little spoons or forks so people at the table could take what they want. We loved all the food in the charcuterie board from the pickles to the pimento cheese. Maybe more crackers would have been great. It's great for sharing just little knives and forks or toothpicks would have made it more shareable. And the arancini with the tomato jam. Was a hit! My friend and husband both had the shrimp and grist which was adding the extra Cajun kick. They had to had more pepper and hot sauce to their dishes. I got the duck and dumplings which was packed with flavor just wish I got a good portion like my friend's mom and aunt got a great size portion of roast chicken and potatoes. So yum! Service was great!

Stopped by for a business dinner. Everything was prepared well. Service was excellent and the team enjoyed the experience. Its in a very convenient location easily accessible from the street. We enjoyed everything they had to offer. Definitely will be back when I head back to Charlotte.

This is inside the Westin. I walked in for lunch and it was pretty empty inside and I liked the decor a lot. My server was a delight! I got raw oysters and shrimp po boy. They were absolutely fantastic. The bread on the shrimp po boy was toasted to perfection and so fluffy inside!! I've had po boys before but this was on another level. It also came with these amazing perfect fries that were seasoned. I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.

I was very sad to see Dogwood close at their South Park location, so years later when I saw their name emerge as the new restaurant at the Westin Hotel I was thrilled! I finally got to come here for dinner with some coworkers on a Tuesday night with high expectations, and they certainly met and possibly succeeded them! Our server was very knowledgeable and had a bunch of great recommendations. For appetizers we started we the the pork belly and the Carolina board which is essentially a charcuterie board on steroids! I had a hard time deciding on a main as the whole menu sounded fantastic but I finally landed on the duck and dumplings and I'm sure glad I did. The duck was cooked to perfection, amazingly tender, and the ricotta gnudi was an unexpected but wonderful addition. Our table ordered a variety and every dish that came out received rave reviews especially the shrimp and grits. When you combine an expertly crafted menu along with some beautiful and elegant decor to complement the vaulted ceilings, this makes for a perfect night out spot for dinner.

Came to Dogwood for one thing... the smashburger. What I got was a solid double cheeseburger pretending to be something it's not. No crispy edges. No lace. No smash. Just two thick patties with melty American cheese, pickles, and sauce on a soft bun. Tasted great, just don't lie to me like that. The fries were solid. No notes. Also, they only have Pepsi. So if you're a Coke person, bring your own or emotionally detach.

We went here for a birthday dinner. First time dining here at Dogwood. We were searching for a nice sit down restaurant. We found Dogwood by accident and chose to come here based on reviews. The service was impeccable, our waitress gave us good suggestions. The menu listing was perfect, I didn't feel overwhelmed with too many choices. I settled on the short rib with whipped potatoes and heirloom carrots. That has to be the best whipped potatoes I have had in an extremely long time if not ever. The short rib was cooked to perfection and so tasty. If you are looking for great food and service, I will definitely recommend Dogwood. We will be visiting Charlotte often over the next couple of years, so we are planning on coming back. Sooooo delicious. Oh! I forgot the comeback fries - loved it.
