I came to Charlotte for a concert at a nearby venue. The Drury Inn & Suites was very close by. Guided by my fellow Yelpers reviews, I booked a King room after seeing the pictures online. My experience was everything I read about. The friendliness of the staff was exceptional. The breakfast was out of this world, and the room was generously sized and very clean. We had a room that overlooked the atrium, but was near the elevator, so we heard a bit of noise when trying to sleep and we could also hear conversations going on from patrons in nearby rooms; walls seemed a bit thin. We didn't get to experience the "kickback" drinks and buffet time, but we'll get to that next time. All in all a great experience; better than most.

Stayed here recently for a business trip. Great value. Hotel is clean, safe and has a lot of amenities. Highly recommend if you are staying in the University Area. Amenities - Gym - Complementary breakfast - Beer in the afternoon - Room has about everything you need (iron, ironing board, mini-fridge, coffee port, microwave, etc.) Hotel has a few places to eat that are in easy walking distance. Parking is free.

Our lackluster stay wasn't the fault of the hotel staff or management- it was courtesy of fellow guests who apparently thought they'd booked the Daytona Speedway instead of a hotel. Around midnight, the parking lot transformed into the Coca-Cola 500, complete with revving engines, squealing tires, and a pit crew's worth of noise. Sleep? Forget it. Unless, of course, you can drift off to the soothing sounds of mufflers and burnout competitions.

4.5 stars for the win! I was visiting Charlotte because my cousin just moved out here and I'd never heard of the Drury Inn chain, but I I will most definitely be seeking them out in the future. I love family-owned over big corporations, but what sold me the most on these guys was their amenities (that I 100% did not get to capitalize, which is why I need to start staying with this chain more often). First of all, biscuits and gravy come with the hot breakfast, and I am a SUCKER for biscuits and gravy. Besides that, their breakfast came with hot eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, waffle-making and toast, fruit and cereal options. THEN they had their 5:30pm kickbacks which I sadly never made it to, but it's basically a free evening supper with 2 alcoholic beverages per guest. I WISH I could have partaken in this at LEAST once. And then there was the fountain soda machine available all day, and the popcorn machine in the lobby. I only got to partake of the popcorn machine ONCE, because every other time I passed, it wasn't on (I usually left around noon and didn't get back in until 11 or later). There was an adorable swim-thru indoor/outdoor pool and HOT TUB, which I also did not get to partake in (I was only here for 3 nights and me and my cousins hit the town every day). The inn was bigger than I thought, the atrium area is lovely, check-in and check-out were SUPER quick, and everyone I spoke with was friendly and personable. The room is the only place I docked a half-star. Standard size and clean ENOUGH, but I did notice some sticky spots on the carpeting, dresser, and door, as if someone shook up a soda and opened it and it sprayed everywhere and someone just couldn't figure out all the everywhere it exploded. The curtains in my room were also kind of dingy, but the bedding and bathroom were 100% immaculate, the pillows were oh-so-comfortable, plus the rooms had BOTH a microwave and mini-fridge, which really should be STANDARD everywhere. Based on my initial Drury experience, I would book another stay with this chain in a heartbeat.

A good sign of the quality of a business is how they deal with adversity and the Drury failed miserably! On some Friday nights, the TGI Fridays immediately next to the hotel hosts a motorcycle rally in the parking lot. Big, customized Harleys with big banging speakers show off their bikes, rev the engines and take turns demonstrating their massive sound systems. The bikers party after 2:00 am. When we and many other guests complained to the hotel staff, they told us to call the police. NEVER STAY AT THE DRURY ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. Other than the bikers and the lack of care for their guests, the hotel is a 4; it's showing signs of age and a single elevator for 5 large floors can result in long wait times for the elevator. There are several other hotels within a mile of the Drury, and we will try them next time. The hotel gave us a 50% discount on the room charge; a nice gesture.

Amazing staff. Always happy to welcome you to the Inn. Rooms and facilities well maintained and clean. Decent free breakfast and dinner food. Two free drinks per person every night. Very competitive rates. We've now stayed at three different inns all just as good.

The check in area is lovely and spacious. They have 2 large screen TV's mounted on the walls and allow patrons access to the remotes. The room was a little odd in that the beds did not have coverlets nor bedspreads but maybe that is a NC style. The room was spacious and I appreciated a desk that had a chair that matched the height of the desk. Many time desk are SO uncomfortable because they do not match. The best part was the room was quiet. No thin walls where you could hear hallway or neighbors making noises.

This suite has the best employees and most accommodating. I was able to get an extended check out, they offer this kick back from 530-7 which you get two free drinks. They have a huge parking lot and a beautiful hotel. There was this one lady in the kitchen she had an accent and was a bit older but blessings to her. She talked to me for a bit and she was so nice and gave me home feels. This hotels is Def a place you want to stay if you have to stay away from home. Again the staff there is beyond incredible. I wish I got the young ladies name that checked me in. She was awesome, she said no wild parties. (Jokingly ofcourse) we had a dog with colored hair. Lol

I unexpectedly ended up staying here 5 days due to vehicle breakdown. I was frustrated for sure. This hotel was great. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant and very accommodating. It speaks well of management that everyone I encountered seemed happy, friendly, and truly helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The rooms were clean and well maintained. My dog was with me, and the pet fee was reasonable. The heating and air in the room were controlled by a wall thermostat which was very efficient and responsive. There was none of that strange musty smell Hotel air systems tend to have. Breakfast and dinner were served each day and were more than acceptable. Plenty of restaurants were within walking distance and lots of Grubhub/Uber Eats drivers in the area. Large, new, televisions in the rooms and very good wifi throughout the hotel. The bathroom was the best maintained and cleanest I've seen in a hotel. White, scentless, and sparkling clean. Everything in my room was clean and functional. No wobbly chair, no wonky tv remote, not even scuffing on the carpeting. I cannot say enough how excellent the staff at this hotel is. They really made my visit excellent and reduced my stress hugely. I would recommend this place over any hotel I've stayed in previously. I hope the staff sees this so they know, they helped at least one traveller get real reprieve from stress, and they are so appreciated. Thank you to everyone at Drury for the wonderful service and accommodations!
