3 hour layover in the charlotte airport and I got an hours worth of fun in this spot. It felt so good to be able game out in the comfy chairs and play a new game to me and probably an old game to many. The place was super cool and with my priority pass the hour was free and I was able to grab a free drink and a snack for later. The guy who got me settled in waited to tell me his name after I had the headphones on and for my followers you know I wear hearing aids and don't hear his name but he was friendly and attentive. Set the time and let me have at it. Not in a rush but super glad this was included in my priority pass.

I have been here several times while traveling and I love coming here especially when my flights are delayed (Which seem to happen very often as of late....Which when I'm here, I don't mind at all.) Gameway is a lounge you can come to relax and play video games on Platforms such as, Playstation 5, Xbox, or PC games. The selection of snacks and drinks are very good, with many items I have only found overseas in Japan, such as the many unique flavors of Fanta Sodas. The CLT does NOT have alcoholic beverages to offer, like their other location in LAX, however, that is not a deal breaker for me to be able to sit in nice comfy chairs and play video games as I wait for my flight. Gameway is a Priority Pass participant, which means that if you are a Priority Pass Member, you get a free hour and one snack and one drink for free. Depending upon how long my delay is, I will get the all day pass, as it has great value for those pesky long delays. The staff are extremely professional and very friendly. Video games have changed a lot since the 80's and turning on the machine and trying to select a video game can be overwhelming for those who have not played in a long time. The staff are super patient and more than willing to help in anyway. They also help with video games suggestions and will be more than happy to help with setting you up and begin playing. On one occasion, while playing, I saw an older gentleman walking past showing curiosity, the staff saw this man and was very polite in asking the man if he would be interested in coming in and playing a game. The gentleman laughed and said he wouldn't know where to begin and that it had been decades since he played a video game. The staff was very kind and assured the man that games are still very fun and asked what game was it that he use to play. The gentleman said he use to play Tetris. When I was leaving to catch my flight, I saw this gentleman sitting and having the time of his life playing Tetris (and Killing it too) There is a good selection of games to chose from, the staff continually wipe and clean the controllers and headsets after being used by guests, and snacks and drinks are always well stocked and in neat order. The one drawback to this location is that it is very far from the main part of the airport. This Gameway is located in the very farthest end of Terminal E. Which can take about 15 to 20 min to get to from the main airport depending upon the time and day. It has since also stopped access for my favorite game, however I can understand if they have to pay licensing rights to offer the game and no one other than myself would be playing the game. All in All, this a a great place if you have time in the airport before your flight to relax and enjoy a good video game.

As a Priority Pass member, you honestly can't go wrong with stopping off at this newish Game Way location in the CLT airport in Terminal E. With the Priority Pass here, you get access to a bottled drink and one snack, and you can stay at the "lounge" and play games or take them and go. If you're familiar with the DFW locations, it's similar except at DFW, you get two snacks; however, the snack selection here is much better. The biggest downside outside of only one snack is that it's at the way far end of Terminal E so unless you have one of those connecting flights to more remote locations, then you're rarely just around this location; rather, it's a little bit of a trek, but it's not a terrible walk. The game systems work just fine and have a wealth of options, though I can't say I'm the biggest gamer in the world either so I might not have the most informed opinion there. I'm not sure exactly how it works if you pay; I want to say I heard $25 an hour with drinks and snacks as additional charges. But given that I get it with my card, I always stop by and at least grab my snacks and drink! If I stay, it's also nice to just be in your own space as well, as the gaming areas are rarely crowded.

My gate was right nearby, but I wouldn't have sought this out unless I was stuck here all day. I only had about 20 minutes before my flight, so I also didn't play any games, although it seems like a nice alternative to sitting in a lounge. I grabbed my free drink and snack, which is an interesting way to do it--you can get anything other than Monster drinks. Very friendly staff. It's very open in terms of layout with respect to passersby in the terminal which feels a little weird, but I guess it doesn't matter. It's way at the end of the E terminal.
