This Hyatt House is pretty solid with one caveat: its location. It is across from the City bus depot which doubles as a homeless hangout. Walking out the hotel you find bodies passed out on the sidewalk. The rooms were spacious and there was a chair to work in the rooms. I had room service daily without having to request it. The staff were friendly. Some parts of the hotel are showing their age. The breakfast is standard for a Hyatt Place with pre-made eggs and sugary yogurt. There is also oatmeal and a version of bacon.

Vacation | Family My stay was short and great! I have no complaints-- check in was a breeze, valet was quick and effortless, our room was perfect and clean upon arrival. We chose this hotel due to its proximity of the Spectrum center. So glad we did, the walk was roughly two minutes. Breakfast was delicious as well. Would also love to shoutout to the staff for their honesty and integrity! I left my very expensive shoes behind on accident, when I arrived back to the hotel, the attendants had them secured waiting for me. They deserve all the blessings coming their way. (From June 2023) Couldn't believe I could find a Hyatt hotel in downtown Charlotte with a reasonable price point for a Saturday stay in early June. All the amenities/sprites expected with a Hyatt hotel was included as part of the experience. Room including the bath area and kitchen were spotless. Plenty of towels/toiletries. A nice view of the downtown Charlotte landscape. And a comfortable bed. Location being on East Trade street next to the transit and the spectrum center is convenient and adds to the walkability of the city. Breakfast that is included is one of the better ones I've had. A lot of breakfast food options and there's a bar area for those nightcap beverages. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again if I'm ever back in Charlotte!

The phone doesn't work. We asked for towels, they never brought them. Coffee maker couldn't get it to work and they didn't help until the second day. We had to ask twice. They don't have real pillows. Just half size throw pillows. WTF with the tiny pillows. The breafast is hardly anything and they started putting everything away at 9:40 am. We got there at 9:15 and hardly anything left. Parking is over priced. One last thing. Don't close the bathroom door all the way. You may not be able to get out. Also had to kill a cockroach.

The valet parking process was easy, though not cheap at $40 per night. Pull up in front of this uptown hotel, and staff will give you a claim check and easy instructions for retrieving your vehicle. If you follow those instructions, and if things aren't busy, they'll have your vehicle ready to be driven away in just a few minutes. Check-in was quite easy too. The desk staff offered me a different room option than I'd booked online, which turned out to be a nicer room and for no additional cost. Express checkout is also nice. Keep in mind you'll need your key card to use the elevators. I found the room clean and comfortable, and I was impressed by my room's views of large portions of the uptown skyline from its 15th floor vantage point. I didn't check out the pool on the seventh floor, mostly because I was instead interested on touring uptown by foot. I didn't use the light rail, but having that near could certainly be a bonus. While the complimentary breakfast wasn't fancy, and while I thought it might actually offer more variety, everything tasted fine -- especially the scrambled eggs. Best scrambled eggs I've ever experienced in a buffet setting, to be honest.

Wrong reservation fixed it but a bad start half the doors are under repair or do not work. Bar restaurant not open on a Friday won't open till next Wednesday. I would Try another place in the area. Great area just not the hotel

I picked this Hotel based on Yelp reviews and that it is walking distance to the conference center. There are other Hotels closer to the conference center but they were sold out. My room was fine, comfortable bed with clean sheets. I did have to ask them to sweep the floor when I first checked in which were must needed. They immediately sent someone to vacuum the room. The staff was nice and very helpful to accommodate. The bathroom is out dated and shower is made of cheap outdated plastic yet had my favorite shower head and a good size for a very tall person who is 7 feet tall. The breakfast is included which is scramble eggs, meat and a carb- potatoes or french toast. They have cereal, fruit and vanilla yogurt. The fruit was old & chewy. They are not gluten free sensitive. I ate the eggs and my thyroid went into a spasm & had to run upstairs to take medication immediately so my heart would not go into arrhythmia (lessoned learned since thyroid disease is new to me). They do not have gluten free milk for your coffee or tea yet do have the creamer containers. Nice selection of Tazo tea for the tea drinkers. If you are here to only sleep, its a nice hotel with wonderful staff.

1. Checkin was great and the lady at the front desk was great!!! 5 Stars 2. Now let's get to the meat and potatoes 3. I needed something out of my car, the valet took me to my car, I was locked out of the building my key didn't work for me to get back in from the 4th floor. The valet rep knew this bs. 4. Later on that night and morning the black guy was rude, like I'm bothering him and he had an attitude, like his phone was more important than us. 5. This morning, I asked about the valet attendant were was he, I texted and called no response. The same guy with braids at the desk says,"that's a different company, I can't do anything about that" well if Hyatt charges me for the services you are liable for that company!!! 6. The guy at the front desk leaves like he's going to find the attendant and never shows back up. So now no one's at the desk. 7. Now there is another lady waiting on her car, after about 30min the valet attendant shows up, I asked for my key and brought my car down. The sad part, I told the young man. "Step your game up" then he says I was in the bathroom. You can see the cat boogers in his eyes. 8. The general manager or some manager can reach out to me

A solid option for a long-term stay in the Queen City! The Hyatt House is conveniently located right next to the Spectrum Center. A bit off the downtown core, it's still a great location close to all of Charlotte's downtown spots, very walkable. The hotel itself is pretty modern, adorned in grays and green. Rooms have a refrigerator, 2-burner stove, microwave and more. Beds are comfortable with a smallish TV and the higher floors have a nice view of Charlotte. Elevators are super fast and you've got breakfast included with your stay (eggs, bacon, home fries, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee and milk). Overall I found the Hyatt House a great spot that combines affordability, location and decent amenities for the Queen City. Definitely would stay again, the only negative was the $30/night parking. Otherwise a big thumbs up from me!
