The room and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable. The sofa was a good place to rest your luggage and personal items. The bathroom had a problem with the door lock (it wouldn't close) and it was very uncomfortable not having privacy. The towels were not clean: we found a hair stuck in one of them (thank God before using it). The toilet paper was very cheap, the kind that is not pleasant to use. The service at the reception was ok, but they are renovating, which doesn't make it very comfortable while waiting. The valet takes a while to bring the car, but there is an SMS system where you can request it and you will be notified when the car arrives. We ended up finding the service there to be very friendly and polite. Now the location is spectacular. If you like to walk like we do, just park your car and enjoy the tour. There are several tourist attractions within a 10-minute walk, including restaurants, museums, cafes, bars, and an event center. In short, we found the area to be fantastic for doing everything on foot and exploring the city center.

Staff and Service: - The folks working here were nice, but it did take some time to get their attention at times (even if nobody else was in the lobby with me) - They were nice to help me get an umbrella with the rain Room: The room itself was spacious and comfortable Surroundings: - I didn't like how easy it was for someone to follow me up the elevator given the elevator was right next to the entrance - The location was very difficult for rideshare drivers to get to. If they missed the driveway (which they did every single time), they had to go all the way back around the block due to one-way streets - Proximity to other things like uptown was great - walking distance

It was an awesome stay in Charlotte. The room was clean and no issues with the venue outside of the fact that you have to valet park. I don't t like Valet parking since I don't like waiting for the car. I would rather walk in and out of a parking lot whenever I choose. Lastly, it is odd that the bar seats on the check in floor is right next to the check in desk. When checking in, the bar patrons are within 6 feet of checking in and can listen to any questions asked by the staff there. Just an odd structure that takes away from privacy.

Check in on 10th floor, it looks like a Starbucks but it's a check in. Everything went smoothly. We only stayed for 1 night. The room was huge! We got 2 queens, had a living area with a pull out sofa. It was clean, everything was clean. The AC worked well. There was a fridge and safe. The view was of downtown. We didn't drive, so didn't use their parking. The breakfast buffet was pretty decent. They have eggs, sausage, hard oil eggs, Potatoes, bagels, cereal, yogurt. Pretty good for complimentary. Their gym was small but doable. There were some dumbbells, and 1 kettle bell, I used it well. They also let us check out an hour later. One elevator was down when we left. But Would stay again!

They CANCELED one of my 2 rooms when I called to ASK if I needed to cancel, would I get a refund? I did not call and say CANCEL MY ROOM. So we arrive, and they have only one of the two rooms available and 9 people had to sleep in one room and on the floor. The real reason they cancelled my room was because they were full and wanted to make money off of a new customer! The front desk manager said he would refund BOTH rooms and proceeded to refund NEITHER room. Now, I have to file a dispute with my credit card company. Unbelievable!

The staff was very friendly and the room was great. The. Biggest area of opportunity was the breakfast area. The tables were usually dirty as was the floor. Otherwise it was a great stay!

I really enjoyed this hotel. I came down for business during the week. My room was on the 11th floor, which had a really nice view of uptown. Price for a weekday was decent as well at $135. I'm sure it is a hell of a lot higher on the weekend or during major events in town. Room was nice and clean. Everything you need is in the room (iron, ironing board, desk, hangers, TV, etc., etc.). The hotel wi-fi worked well. The location is great, right in uptown. Close to everything there. Note, if you are parking at the hotel, ignore the Caldwell Street address you find when googling this place. You want to come in via 3rd street, which is one way. The parking entrance is via 3rd street, not Caldwell. One quirk about this place. You have to check in on the 10th floor. I at first thought the valet parking desk was the check in desk. I was then pointed to the signs "Check in on the 10th floor dumb ass". I may have added a little to the sign. :-).

We loved our staycation at Hyatt Place in Uptown Charlotte. This hotel is nicely located near area attractions like the Spectrum Center, restaurants, museums, theaters, the bus and train transit system which made it easy to get around the city. Hyatt Place building is multifunctional with residential tenants, penthouse condominiums and 172 guest rooms, 20 suite with king and double queen beds. Our king suite was spotless and spacious and had the best views of the city. Separate seating area with sofa-sleeper and closed-in bathroom. We enjoyed dinner @fahrenheitclt which is located on the rooftop floor. The pool was under renovation, but there was a fitness center, media center, 24/7 bar free breakfast, free internet, business center and snacks and laundry service. This is a great hotel to getaway and escape this winter. Stayed here for a friend's wedding. The hotel is very clean and safe. The check in on a different floor. The elevators will not move without your keycard. The daily breakfast had many different choices. The staff is friendly and the bed is made daily. Rooms are spotless. Be sure to check out the roof top restaurant that has great views, especially at night. Also if you have time, Midnight Dinner is 24/7 and is walking distance from the hotel.

Valet attendants were helpful, fast & friendly. $38 overnight with unlimited in and out. Check in is on the 10th floor. Only one elevator working, but wasn't a problem for us. Front desk check in was seamless & friendly. Our room was clean and sufficient for a one night stay. Location convenient to a lot of places. Overall, I would stay here again, but probably not for more then $230 on a weekend.
