So McDonald's is just Iike the other fast-food majors ... some people love them and some people hate them. Same for Wendy's. There is one of each of these on opposite corners just outside Charlotte Douglas Airport ... on Boyer Street. They couldn't be more different. On Tuesday, June 4 the CLT airport was under big stress ... rain and electric storms caused a ground stop for outbound, stranding inbound to sitting on the tarmac on the outskirts. Long story short, everything was delayed 2 1/2 hours. Some drivers waiting for arrivals took advantage of the delay to go get some fast food. We drove over to the Boyer Street McDonalds but saw they had a long line at drive-thru, so we went across the street to Wendy's ... big mistake. We sat for minutes in the drive-thru at Wendys without moving, so we went inside ... big mistake. Three or four peeps were working that night, but you'd swear no one knew what they were doing. We stood behind an ill-informed patron talking to an ill-informed employee as they talked over each other. Eventually we left and went back across the street to the McDonalds. Now back at McDonalds some of the drive-thru had worn off and the wait wasn't too bad. But cheers to all the service people we talked to ... they were friendly, and knowledgeable. At payout we had the sweetest little lady take care of us ... she made the trip worthwhile. Food was the good usual McDonalds, nothing fancy just good fast food ... hot and fresh. Four stars for McDonalds and one star for Wendys. Next time we'll just go straight to McDonalds.

TLDR: Typical McDonalds with an upgrade. Quick and accurate orders. Hash browns and the egg McMuffins are a good choices. I hear people raving about the McGriddle, but I opted for the traditional Egg McMuffin. This location is clean and efficient. It looks newer with ordering kiosks and delivery pick up areas. It did take longer to order from the kiosk, but I enjoyed looking through the available options. The kiosk prompts a lot of questions and only briefly shows your order number. Two of us were looking down to pay on the integrated terminal and missed the order number pop up. It displays the number for a few seconds. We then just had to check the completed order receipts to find the other completed orders. All of our orders were accurate and ready quickly. Overall, a nice McDonalds to stop at to use the restroom and get a meal.

How do you place the wrong items in the bag from an online order? The damn receipt that has the items listed on it. That morning crew needs to do better. I come home with another persons order.

I couldn't understand what the employees were saying and they couldn't understand me (note: I was born here and my natural language is English). I would hope you'd train you employees what SALT is and KETCHUP is when a customer asks for both. I just got a blank stare, then someone else took my sack from the other employee, was gone for a couple of minutes, then handed it back to me and I drove off. Got to my destination, opened my McDonald's sack to eat and guess what was missing? Yep. Oh, not sure why my fries were almost cold (2 minute drive before I opened the sack to eat), and my burger tasted kind of funky. There are much better fast food choices out there than this McDonald's. I should have looked at the dismal reviews before I came here, but I'm not from the area. This probably would be a better place for a drug store or car wash.

Karina or Katrina won't give her name out correctly to not be a collector of bad reviews and complaints I ordered paid and the nice young lady said your good have a great day I get to the pick up window and I hear her say in Spanish to the young lady who was about to hand my food tell her she needs to pay i said I did she said I was good and she is about to tell her she yells You owe me money you no pay i said first of all I did and why didn't she back there tell me my card did not process the full payment and second of all I do not owe you anything I owe it to McDonald's she had the rudest face and attitude towards me the customer and the employee doing her job then a week later she was extremely rude with my mother and threw my mother's money out the window and refused to pick it up we have called the number on the window and no manager or owner has ever called to apologize or give any explanation to why she is still working and treating employees and customers with such an attitude

Cold fries but friendly service. They weren't fast but they were friendly. I just wish while they were busy they could have warm fries these were down right cold.

I normally don't post messages for fast food but if you're going to get fast food, this is a good place. All of the McDonald's in Charlotte are crap except this one. They are always nice to me. They are fast and they actually make the food correctly like they're supposed to at all the other locations and I've never had an issue like I will drive the extra mile just to go to this one because they for sure have a down like what they're supposed to be doing and the people are always nice, I think they messed my order up like one time but it's literally fast food and that's expected so yeah I'm giving them five stars

This McDonalds is new or remodeled. It's a nice McDonalds. The food tastes like every other McDonalds I have ever been in. I didn't go into the bathroom, and I didn't see anything that didn't belong. It's hard to leave an outstanding impression when the market is literally saturated with your establishment. So... As I began "This is McDonalds."
