BEN THE MANAGER IS A DL RACIST! Who seems to not remember me but says I did something wrong. BEN can't recall who I am or what I did but I was accused of doing something wrong. What I did wrong was spending over $3k at this hotel. I believe they put you in certain rooms with cameras and watch you. Weird staff. Don't trust BEN!!!

Horrible experience!!! Drove 5 hours in traffic and arrived to find out my reservation had mysteriously been cancelled and they were completely booked! I had emails from Sonesta the day before confirming my reservation and another offering an upgrade. They could not explain how my reservation got cancelled! Corporate offered some frequent guest points. Why would I make another reservation after this experience!!?? DONT BOOK Here!

I did not select the Sonesta as a place to stay. I had booked the Residence Inn and when I arrived they informed me that they had overbooked and had booked me a room at Sonesta Select, instead. This was disappointing news at 10:30PM after a long day of challenging travel. I was not happy. But that all changed when I got to the Sonesta. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The gentleman working the front desk was friendly and kind and he had me in a room in no time. The room was clean and much nicer than I anticipated. I really enjoyed my stay.

Good location if you are doing business in the University area of Charlotte. Not far off of I-85. TGIF restaurant next door to the hotel, with tons of others in the area. Value for the room was good. My room was clean. It had all of the essentials needed for the business traveller. Including iron, ironing board, shampoo, soaps, TV, comfortable bed, etc.. Decent outside area to chill. The lobby also had a seating area with some food items. It was a little unsettling that they had a mug shot of some guy posted at the entrances and elevators, warning guests to not let this person into the building. Apparently this person was communicating threats against the staff. In Summary - Location 5 - Room essentials 4 - Room overall 3 (it's decent but not the Hilton) - Room price for the area 4

I've had no issues while being here. The front desk staff was polite, the lobby and hallways are clean and quiet, the room is clean and nicely set up. My only complaint was the elevator smelling like straight cigarettes and weed, I'm assuming from people smoking outside and then getting right in. The bed is comfortable, tv and internet work and there are no complaints. It's very close to a ton of places to eat and the highway to get back home.

Nope. This retired courtyard Marriott is now a Sonesta select. And all they've done to it is buy it cheaper pillows and blankets. Yuck - this spot is a no go. I'm shocked that it had such positive reviews on Priceline. I suspect foul play in the review process. Not a 3 star hotel - not an 8 out of 10. 2.5 star and 6.5 out of 10. The scam is no good - the place is okay. But not good. And certainly not great. Dirty and outdated.

no one at front desk ever. rooms smell like cigarettes. front desk needs to let you into the gym since the key doesn't work. Crap hole.

Older lady at the front desk is saying they don't have my reservation from Hotwire. Ridiculous. She just rude. Not friendly or welcoming at all. If I could cancel my reservation I would. To havre to wait to check In while she talks to Hotwire. And wait on a fax or email. She is just rude. She's Even talking to Hotwire staff rude as well. I'll be contacting the manger in the morning and tell them how disgusting this lady is. Smacking her teeth. She's just rude and should not be at the front desk. She has no business in hospitality. She needs a job where being rude and ugly to customers and give ur bad vibes is top priority for the position. Joy is not a joy to be around. I'm sitting here right now watching her answer the phone. Everyone she deals with she is rude and ugly to them. Y'all just put anyone at this front desk. Not a good look at all.

Love this hotel. Inexpensive, clean, and a great location. Lots of choices for food, etc. However, their incidental policy is ridiculous. First, they hold on to $100 which is a bit high, have had $50 at some places, but whatever. The issue has been they hold onto the money for sometimes up to 2 weeks...or at least that's happened now my last 3 times. Between this property and another Sonesta brand, they have $300 of mine on hold. And the weird part, it only happened when 1 particular employee checks me in. Gonna have to find a new place in Charlotte because they bum rush off the phone if you call to inquire about it.

I didn't have any issues here. Check In and out was a breeze. It was quiet. Comfy bed. Clean. Room even had a small balcony. That's rare for a basic room. This is also 9 minutes from Charlotte motor speedway. Just know if you go to Charlotte motor speedway absolutely nothing is open near this hotel after 10pm except for taco bell across the street. I will say this. I cannot believe how much activity was going on at 1am at this place and outside. I saw more people floating around outside doing shady stuff then I ever saw in the day time. Also seen MANY people inside the hotel floating around at 1am. Granted it was a three day weekend so I assume people are partying but.. it was a bit strange how much activity was going on. Place is a ghost town during the day. I'm just glad my vehicle didn't get broken into.
