A few years ago this was a great place to eat and socialize. They were closed for a long while and have since reopened. Now, they automatically charge 18% gratuity to every ticket whether you dine alone, pickup your meal Or sit at the bar. The service is nothing like it used to be and they're scrambling for items and ingredients they "should" have to prepare a mimosa or a regular entree. The items on the menu are now overpriced and they just want your money "not" you as a valued customer. Count it as a loss and spend your money where you're valued and appreciated.

This place was a great addition to the Queen city upon it's arrival. Throughout the years I've attended a number of events here from networking, CIAA, All White Party, Brunch, etc.. My first visit I was carrying my son and it was for a Sunday football game party in which my husband and I ended up ordering food. We were shocked by the flavors of the food in a Sports Bar. The chef was phenomenal, all the food was unique and full of flavor. The space isn't super large, however it is good for what it's for. The music is always great and the bartenders are attentive and make great drinks. Peter did good ;-)

Great brunch spot. Music is on point, but the best thing is the food. Service was a little slow, but that was due to being understaffed. The oxtails and grits were perfect. Collard greens seasoned very well.

The food that I had was very good and made pretty fast. The environment itself was not too bad, and the seating was optional as to being at the bar or away from the bar, and they even had a nice little area to dance with live music plan, and the setting was very chillvibes and I really enjoyed myself. The only thing that I have to say about this place was that the parking was terrible but overall experience I would definitely go back again and the fact that it's literally right around the corner from my house. It's very convenient for me in the uptown area.

I'm new to the Charlotte area and stumbled across your Instagram page and decided to visit this establishment last night. Sadly to say horrible experience. 1. My waitress served the party of five that came in AFTER me before acknowledging me. I was seated for maybe 10 minutes before they arrived. I did inform her I was NOT with that group and I was here before them and yet she still bought them their drink order before mine. 2. My waitress tried to swindle extra tip money out of me. I'm aware there is a automatic 18% gratuity included in my bill however, when I asked the waitress for my itemized bill, she handed me the handheld and told me "I have to put a tip in first in order to see my bill". The automatic 18% gratuity is in the smallest print I've ever seen on a menu & the location on the lower left side bottom of the menu - bad. The hardcopies in your establishment the print is faded - not legible. 3. I ordered your Spicy Cajun pasta and according to your menu, shrimp and sausage is included in this pasta. There was NO sausage in my pasta, but the biggest scam was I got charged an additional $8 dollars for shrimp. There is no mention on your menu that shrimp is an upcharge of $8.00. I did not notice this until now while writing this. I did ask the Manager (didn't get her name) and I had to explain the story to her three times. She kept reiterating that the 18% gratuity is automatically on each bill, which again wasn't a problem, but tipping extra on bad service was firm NO for me. She appeared to be somewhat clueless on how to rectify my issue on the extra tip until I asked her to void the receipt and take off the additional tip. I understand there was only one bartender and one waitress so I'll show a little grace. The bartender informed me the waitress is "new" and she may not be aware of how to work the handheld to show me my receipt. I call Bullshit.... She pretty much tried to swindle me for extra tip money and her possibly being "new" is no no excuse for her actions. Customers DO NOT CARE if she is new or not, she's had to waitress somewhere before and should have better communication when it comes to informing customers of chargers, menu selection, etc. Disappointed.... no plans on returning. Drinks were good and that's it! The menu has some odd pricing; Spicy Cajun Pasta is $32.04... what's up with the 4 cents? Please work on your menu/pricing, your customer service and better training of your staff. There was no empathy or apology given to me on my experience. And this automatic 18% gratuity is a joke - there is no guarantee a customer will receive good service because your staff knows they're automatically getting a tip regardless of their quality of service, bad or good.

I was welcomed and seated at the bar, and unfortunately encountered several issues that left me quite dissatisfied. Despite my initial expectations and previous positive experiences with Sports One, this recent interaction fell far below the standard I've come to expect. To provide some context, my partner asked our waiter how much a shot of liquor cost. At that moment our waitress completely disconnected and judged us. We order two shots and a mixed drink and was willing to continue to drink, however our waitress did not return to check on us ONCE, and stayed at the far end of the bar in another customers face. Despite my attempts to address these issues during the interaction, they were not effectively resolved, leaving me feeling frustrated and disappointed. We finally asked for our check where $8 was added for gratuity. I completely disagree with this and believe if our service was not satisfactory, the gratuity should be waived! I will say it's an amazing space, very spacious however they will lose a lot of customers if their employees refuse to be fair and equal!

Stopped in the meet a friend and have a drink. Ended up ordering the oxtail dinner meal. Definitely some of the best oxtail I've had in Charlotte outside of my kitchen. Having a carribean background and coming from NY I know good oxtails when I taste them. Huge portion! Please atmosphere and great customer service. They also switched up the decor and are no longer cash only.

I went on Saturday with three other people as a party of 4 at 3pm. The waitress took my order and never sent my plate until 4:10, after my cousin spoke with the hostess. I have been to sports one during football season and many different times prior I have never had to wait an hour for my chicken and waffles plate to be served. The server never checked in to see if I was pleased with my meal or needed anything. After experiencing this lax in service I will not be returning to this establishment as a patron

I went to sports one for brunch early afternoon. I was greeted by the host. There was the option to sit at a table or that bar. My friend and I were immediately seated and soon after greeted by our waitress. There was a DJ, the lights were dim. It was definitely a good atmosphere and vibe for a fun brunch. The food was really good. I enjoyed the salmon bites with honey mustard dipping sauce and grits. My friend had red velvet waffles and French toast. All dishes we thoroughly enjoyed. They have deals to get the bottle of champagne for $20 for mimosas. Overall it was a good experience.
