Whatever you don't stop here at the airport for food.. I couldn't stop by my usual bojangles bc I was really limited on time and this was right in front of my gate.. the service wasn't great at all and this was worse than what I could get at Panda Express.. Just go somewhere else!

After arriving from a red eye at the Charlotte airport, I was famished and glad to see a venue that had something different: a variety of freshly steamed bao buns. Picked up a 2 pack (about $9) of a Spicy Mongolian Beef and Cheeseburger which are part of a selection available all day. They have some other interesting fillings for bao breakfast buns (eggs, bacon, cheese, spicy sausage etc) too. Each bao is only about 3 to 4 small bites (3 inch diameter in size). I appreciated that they were warm and had a soft fluffy texture. Taste for both of the fillings was decent. Spicy Beef Mongolian was not that spicy. The Cheeseburger filling was interesting and had mustard flavor and relish mixed in with the hamburger meat. There wasn't that much detectable "cheese" inside. Wow Bao is located across from Gate C11 in the Concourse C.

This is near the end of concourse C. Order at the counter and wait for your food. They ask for a tip when you pay for your carry away food. 1 star goes away just for that. Pay your people. I had the Kung Pao chicken with potstickers. The portion was small but the flavor was good. The price advertised was almost 3 dollars less than I was charged. The employee said the prices changed but the sign wasn't. I understand prices change but don't mislead people. The food was okay but the business practice is not.

I bought the only affordable drink in the entire airport here. I was just looking for a Diet Coke or ice tea or something like that - most places were at least $4-5 for a small drink, this was $4 for a larger drink. Service was fast and those buying the bao were all talking about how good their food was.

Definitely a cute Asian moment at the CLT airport, I wasn't expecting bao in Charlotte, North Carolina. We grabbed a quick bite, it's not the most incredible fried rice I've ever had, but would I rather eat this instead of Bojangles or Burger King in a jiffy before my flight? Yes! Service was fast and staff was nice, food was hot. Good good good.
