Having grown up coming to NC State games here my entire life, this place feels like home. We've had season tickets in the same section for years now and a steady parking spot. I love the vibe of the parking lot on game day! Everyone is ready to go! And there are plenty of porta potties so you don't have to walk into Lenovo Center each time you've gotta go. The stadium itself has plenty of bathrooms and several stations where you can buy food and drinks. The best is the brew through which has fast and convenient service! They keep ya going fast! And the kettle corn is the perfect sweet and salty snack to go with a good brew. I look forward to many a more games here at Carter Finley.

Home of the Wolfpack (NC State)!!! There isn't a bad view in this stadium. Being a college stadium the seats are split between being actual seats and bench seats depending where you are sitting. There are luxury boxes, like a professional stadium, if you want to call them that, that are probably reserved by the various alumni societies. Parking and getting in and out of here can be a bit convoluted. The stadium sits near the PNC arena and the State Highway Patrol and Raleigh PD are well versed in getting traffic in and out of here. Which is great because the local roads around here can be tough to navigate. The often funnel traffic onto Wade Avenue, Western Boulevard, Edward Mill Rd and I-40. I've been here twice in the last two years. Last week was for the NHL Stadium Series. Prior to that it was for my son's high school football team state championship game in 2021 (it poured). Both were great and the organizers did a great job. I added photos from both events that show two different vantage points in the stadium.

Of course I am going to rate the friendly confines of the Carter 5 stars as I have been attending since '00! (P. Rivers freshman year) On this day, actually night, 7pm kick, it was a good night to evaluate this venue. Through the years the University has done an adequate job adding, enclosing, building, and ultimately enhancing the fan experience. It only seats a modest 55k, but there is not a bad seat in the house, and it is raucous. It definitely was on this Saturday night, partially because they debuted a light show that was awesome. Concessions have come a long way too, with the addition of food trucks and alcohol service. One caveat, be prepared to pay with credit, no cash accepted. On a personal note, I attended with one of my BFF's who I had not seen since he attended the Demon Deacons game in November '18. Suffice it to say, this experience was so much better than the aforementioned. (A member of my party at '18 game who was sooo inebriated, insolent, and a total embarrassment. She has been summarily dispatched). Also, we won on Saturday, unlike in '18. If you get a chance to run with the wolves at the Carter check them out.

I've been to two NC State football games at Carter-Finley Stadium, once as a kid and once as an adult. In the latter game, I went to root for my alma mater, Georgia Tech. Tech, ranked 20th in the country at the time, ended up beating State, 31-23. It was a good game on a frigid, early November, Saturday night. I like Carter-Finley. It's a nice-looking stadium. It has a capacity of 57,583 which currently makes it the 8th largest football stadium in the ACC. NC State fans should thank Chuck Amato for all the renovations that took place at the stadium during his time as head coach (2000-2006). He helped turn Carter-Finley into the modern facility that it is today. In the Amato era: 1. The stadium was fully enclosed on the north and south end zones to look like a continuous ring/bowl. 2. Four levels of press and luxury/premium boxes were added. 3. The Murphy Center, featuring coaches offices, locker rooms, weight rooms, a TV studio, and a football museum, was added. I had a great time at the State-Tech game. We were seated in the lower north end zone. The field and stands looked great under the lights and the atmosphere was electric, at least compared to other ACC games I've been to. It could not, however, compare to the one SEC game I went to at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville (University of Florida). UF's game day atmosphere was on a different level; granted, their stadium can hold almost 90,000 fans (88,548). In 2018, Charlotte-based sports writer David Hale ranked Carter-Finley as the No. 4 stadium experience in the ACC (out of 12 stadiums ranked): https://twitter.com/ADavidHaleJoint/status/1011996517731688448. State routinely sells out games. There are lots of parking lots and tailgating spaces right outside the stadium. We parked in a lot not too far away and visited our friends' tailgate close to the Murphy Center. All in all, I think Carter-Finley is a good stadium and provides a solid all-around college football experience.

Really good experience here. The ticket entrance attendants are nice and welcoming. They always have a smile on their faces. I've been to this stadium on numerous occasions and I've always enjoyed the experience. I had section 18 row L seat 18 and there was a really good view from my seat. My seats were comfortable with cushion and back support. This seating and the game experience were well worth the purchase. The parking situation is another story. Just catch an Uber/Lyft to the event unless you have a season pass with a parking permit.

Currently it is referred to as "The Carter" and is home to Wolfpack Football. Being an NCSU grad--let's hear it for PRTM--I am a total fan! The stadium shares parking with PNC Arena, the NC State Fairgrounds and it's own dedicated spots. Plus neighbors cash in by letting you park in their yards. Give yourself plenty of time to park and walk. Plan a tailgate and arrive early. Be prepared. Bring your seat cushion with a back because you likely won't have one on your bleacher seat. Bring your legal items in a clear bag or purse because it's the rule and your stuff will be searched. Keeping guests safe is important. There are lots of food and drink choices, including beer! About 150 police officers work the event. Do not be the first to storm the field, you will be charged with trespassing. Do not jump down from the stands, you could break your leg--it happens. Stay in your seat, enjoy the open air stadium, easy to read scoreboard and Carolina skies. Have fun and cheer for your team. And recycle!!! They make it super easy and convenient everything almost is recycled!

We've been to numerous NC State games and I am quite surprised I haven't reviewed this stadium yet! Well, if it was based off my FIRST experience, it would have been quite different. Log story short, I was unaware of the NO PURSE RULE. After walking an eternity to the stadium from where we parked, I was not allowed in with my purse. My husband wanted me to just throw it out (as if). So we then had to walk all the way BACK to the car and then all the way BACK to the stadium. Needless to say, neither of us were happy campers at that point. Since then, we have purchased a CLEAR TOTE to take in. This year was our first as SEASON TICKET HOLDERS. We're basically in the nose bleed section but that's fine. I like the chair cushions/backs we get to use. I honestly have not tried any food here. Weird, I know! There seems to be a decent selection. Restrooms always have been clean. Always a good time! Go Wolfpack!
