We were immediately assisted and escorted to the table. The waiter was pleasant, welcoming and engaging. The restaurant was clean. Very vibrant, nostalgic and cutesy decor. A cute space for a girls night out if you're into it. I had the mini burgers which were delicious to me and perfectly prepared well done. I wasn't impressed with the drink I had that was served in a capri sun pouch like I'm in kindergarten. This wasn't secure enough and when the waiter delivered it to me it tilted over and spilled over in my lap. Please start serving this in a glass like everything else. I appreciate the waiter taking accountability and being extremely apologetic. It was a honest mistake. Things happen. I got over it! Overall, this wouldn't be high on my list of places to ever return to in the future.

I visited Electric Flamingo while in the area. I learned of influencer Magnolia Megan's new 80's inspired, Cuban pop up bar and was curious to check it out. Being a Caribbean girl at heart, who doesn't love flamingos ? They're my favorite. The theme of Cuban-inspired bites and cocktails, got me excited to book a trip back to Miami. The pop up bar is located on the first level of the Merchant where the old Virgil's was. Upon arrival a hostess kindly greeted us and brought us to a table near the bar. There were very few patrons. Our waiter greeted us warmly and made attempts to engage with us. Their Instagram page shared that they were streaming the new love island episode and I was excited to watch with others. This is not a full bar. We asked for recommendations with lower sugar content and decided on the Tony Montana cocktail highly recommended by our waiter. For bites, the chicken skewer fire sticks and sliders. Basic menu items. Our cocktails were served in plastic capri sun zip loc bag containers. This needs to be changed. All the other cocktails were served in cute cups. Why not this cocktail? I found this tacky. As a result, when the waiter delivered my friend's drink it was spilled all over her because it was not securely closed. This cocktail was well made and strong but this really ruined the experience. The bar bites were nothing to write home about. We watched Love Island & left before the episode ended. Our waiter was kind enough to try and rectify the drink mishap. That was appreciated. I felt the decor here could have been more related to the theme. " 80's inspired Miami ... Havana vibes". This was decorated more of a Hawaiian luau with random surf boards placed. Very underwhelming of an experience for me.

This pop up restaurant/bar is exactly what the Triangle needs mixing up great drinks and vibes all while creating delicious meals. Service was slower than I expected for the restaurant to be empty however I'm giving grace since it's a pop up and may not have been fully staffed yet. I recommend the coconut shrimp and the fried cheese. My drink was basically a fish bowl with a cute little duck that I repurposed on someone's Jeep. Give this place a try. 3.5 stars

Visited Electric Flamingo tonight for an opening event. The service was very quick, and our waiter checked in on us frequently. At our table, we ordered a few drinks and appetizers to share. The tequila- and rum-based drinks were noticeably stronger than the vodka-based one. The food was cooked well, though it was slightly over-seasoned. The vibe was great, with dim lighting complemented by bright, colorful decorations. It's unclear if tonight's menu represents the full menu, as it primarily featured appetizers.
