We were looking for somewhete to watch college football other than the regular places off Glenwood and remembered this bar. The deck bar wasn't open yet because it was such a hot day in the middle of the afternoon so we decided to go in downstairs. Although we had been to this place a couple times last summer, we never sat inside. What a nice surprise! It is a dive bar: small, dark lighting, air conditioned cool and a very laid back atmosphere. We sat at the bar and truly enjoyed ourselves. They did have 1 or 2 TVs with a game on but we had more fun looking around and talking to the bartender & other customers. You would never expect a dive bar to have slushies but I remembered they had a machine in the past but in the upstairs bar. The bartender was awesome. She told me the slushie machine was working upstairs and although the upstairs bar wasn't open yet that she could still go get me one. The slushie was a fuzzy navel and was just perfect for a hot day. They do provide beer and liquor also. The crowd that hangs out upstairs is 20s-30s but the people downstairs seemed a little older. Didn't matter the age, this place is just cool. They even have a tunnel slide outside, why that would be there who knows but it just adds to the fun attitude of this place. We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this place for a lazy afternoon.

Went there Saturday August 16th. Dive bar feel inside, which I like. Like the outside deck and bar area. Downstairs bathroom smelled like urine, upstairs a lot better. High Noons are $12.50 a piece, $13.50 with tax. Service was good. High Noons can be expensive, but come on. Outrageous surprise price for High Noons ruined the experience.

Whoever the white short guy on the second floor in tattoos is, he should not be working in hospitality. I watched a group of very polite individuals ordering drinks next to me at the bar. At one point, while this man was serving a drink, he was asked by someone in the group for a napkin. The bar tender became very aggressive. He said "you see that I'm busy and you want to talk?!" He then served the drink, came back to the man asking the question, folded his arms over the bar and said "so what do you want to talk about?"The patron then asked a second time for a napkin, the bar tender said "that's what you interrupted me for? A fucking napkin?!" Keep in mind this group did absolutely nothing to provoke this bar tender, it just seemed to be his man's personality that caused the problem. I've never been to a bar where patrons are treated like that, he clearly doesn't understand how he is being perceived. I felt stunned and ashamed, I actually liked the atmosphere and I will not be visiting this location again. If they allow someone like this to work in hospitality, it's a clear sign they couldn't care less about the patronage as long as they are making money. Another dive bar off Glenwood that I cannot spend money at that I actually enjoyed. Do better, get rid of this "man." And if he reads this, YOU WORK IN HOSPITALITY, MORON, YOUR TIP DEPENDS ON HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. YOU ARE NOT FUNNY, YOU ARE RUDE. Unbelievable. Absolutely asinine. Do better, one of your employees is costing you a LOT of money.

Avoid this business. Staff is confrontational and rude. Our party was asked to leave after one staff member argued with one member of our party. The party asked to leave went out and was waiting for everyone else to be rounded up. The staff member who was so argumentative came downstairs yelling for staff at entrance to not let him (our friend who was already outside on sidewalk and NOT trying to re enter only waiting for all our party) back in and then started yelling at our friend who was only trying to get everyone from our large group gathered so we could leave. We were leaving and they started yelling at us again. Just let us leave already and trust me we won't be back!!

JSYC was a fun time. The outdoor area was the only part open when we visited so I'll be interested to return and check out the inside once it reopens. My husband and I both had a Blue Moon. It was not clear on what their liquor options were since there wasn't a menu so I'm assuming it's your standard, easy to make drinks. This spot definitely gave us lake/beach vibes. Before you leave or during your visit, you can take a ride down the slide. Enjoy.

Located in the old Office Tavern space, the new Johnson Street Yacht Club has elevated the bar experience from its predecessor but not too much. With a new patio up front hidden from the street by a privacy wall, Johnson Street Yacht Club is really a clean, dive bar complete with pool table, juke box and pinball machine. The crowd is pretty hipster and chill, the drinks and beers (cans only) are simple but hit the spot. And yes, the Yacht Rock! I didn't know what that was but prepared to be soothed by soft, 70's and 80's pop rock. You'll either love Johnson Street Yacht Club or not love it. But it works for me as a local, we needed something like JSYC since the Flash House closed down...

JSYC was fantastic! The service was top-notch, the staff friendly, and the drinks excellent. Plus, there's a pool table and other props to keep you entertained.

Definitely would not recommend this place. Was very excited after reading the history of this bar to go here and visit. They did not have a very common alcohol that we drink. We're not interested in providing a different kind of alcohol. We're not interested in any other music other than "female songwriters". Bartender was very very rude and unfriendly she was horrible. The vibe was very much either our way or no way not good for customers who are willing to spend a lot of money. Have watched this bar over the past month and can tell why it's always empty horrible horrible customer service

Doesn't look like anyone's reviewed since COVID! Came for the slide. Did not disappoint (SUPER steep/fast descent, pro tip, don't put your feet down to try and stop your momentum at the bottom; you will automatically stop without flying out bc ~gravity~). Love this bar. They've updated their bar to a giant two-level outdoor patio. Very chill with hammock chairs, adirondacks, picnic tables, roofed outdoor downstairs. Fully outdoors, including the bar (excluding the bathrooms). The indoor area (pool table and some other stuff from the indoor pics on this Yelp page) is closed during COVID, but seriously the two-level patio is more than enough to have a good time. A group of friends and I met safely for the first time in years (could have rain or shine, here) since COVID last night. It was the perfect vibe! We weren't sure if they'd closed or what the space was like before going down since there weren't any updated pics of the patio space (you're welcome ) and their phone line is literally an endless Hall and Oats call tree, but it was a great gamble that could not have worked out better!
