Volunteering at Raleigh Little Theatre has been one of the best decisions I've made! I started a couple of months ago, and it's such a great deal; volunteer an hour or two of your time and you get to see the show for free. Win-win! But beyond the perks, I've genuinely been blown away by the talent, the sets, the lighting, and the overall production quality. The cast members are phenomenal, and the passion they bring to the stage is palpable. It truly feels like you're witnessing professional-grade theatre in an intimate community space. The experience is super comfortable too; concessions are available at great prices, the bathrooms are always clean, and the venue is accessible for those with vision or hearing needs, which really shows their commitment to being inclusive. Whether you're looking to volunteer or just catch a great show, Raleigh Little Theatre is an absolute gem. 10/10 Highly recommend!

I attended the Color Purple Musical this evening during opening weekend. I arrived an hour before showtime to enjoy the Rose Garden after the rain showers. What an added bonus ! Parking in the Permit lot was fairly easy, however it is a One Way, and you must bring your patience when exiting after the show. Try to find nearby street parking to avoid a traffic jam. I was lucky to score an Orchestra seat front row in A6. The best seat in the house! Plenty of leg room, comfortable and the best view of the stage. I've never sat behind the Orchestra booth, so this was a treat ! This was my first visit to Little Raleigh Theatre and I am very impressed. This production was impeccable. Tia James did a phenomenal job directing. The cast was perfectly tailored to each character and I appreciated that. What a talented cast ! The music was beautiful and the set design blew me away !!! The acting was stellar ! This was in my honest opinion, better than the 2024 Warner Brothers film. By far! I am planning to return again soon. We laughed. We cried. We danced. We sang ! Much thanks to the staff who run a tight ship. Very organized and excellent customer service. I look forward to attending more performances in the near future. I recently discovered that they also offer acting/ vocal / dance classes for adults at any level. I am excited to enroll this fall and I'm happy to hear that they are bringing classes to convenient city park community centers. A dream come true for me to tap back into my talents and childhood interests.

We live in Durham and don't come out to this theatre that often. The last time was to see their annual holiday "Cinderella" show many years ago when our daughter was little. For a nostalgic kick, we recently attended their production of "Schoolhouse Rocks Live." We get there plenty early since we remembered parking being kind of an issue since this is pretty much a residential neighborhood. We parked out back next to the lovely rose garden and walked around to the front of the building only to learn this production would be staged outside in the amphitheatre. The show was fine and the performers were energetic but there were some technical glitches and lower-budget costumes and props, which are perfectly forgivable for community theatre. We'd come back but it would have to be for a show that we really want to see.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine: Parking: 2 Location: 5 Decor/ambiance: 5 Customer Service: na If you are in the area and you are seeking some cool, smooth, nice and clean spots to do some photography visit the garden! Be sure to visit around blooming season because there is so many gorgeous roses that are available. There is also an amphitheater on the backside of the garden. They have all sorts of cool events that take place out there. Parking is a challenge when there is events going on. They offer private parking but it is limited so guests are pushed to park along sides of the street. Cool, place be sure to check it out.

There is so much history here! This little theater has been here since I can remember, yet oddly enough I only just recently caught a show here. And honestly it wasn't the best show I've ever seen. But there is so much opportunity here for LOCAL. What to expect if you attend a show here: Parking: Street parking only. It's between Hillsborough Street and Cameron Village. Small roads. Allow time to find a spot. Go early, expect to walk a bit, and enjoy the pretty rose garden that's connected. Inside: SMALL lobby. But there are a few benches and a few more outside. SMALL bar that serves cheap(uh, inexpensive) wine and some other things I guess...we only had the wine. Bathroom: I can only speak for the women's room. There is just one that I saw and it has 5 or 6 stalls (can't remember exactly). Plan accordingly! As for the theater seating, it's tight. But visibility is very good. We were in the last row and I'm short but had no problem seeing. But there's definitely a bit of a claustrophobic feeling unless you're lucky enough to score an aisle or better yet...there are two small strips on each side of two seats each. That would be my preference for future shows. As for shows, keep an eye on the lineup. Anything can happen here. Good or bad, how awesome is it that Raleigh has a cool little theater where local talent can blossom?

There's nothing Little about my Theatre, but that's beside the point. This is an absolutely gorgeous Medieval-style open-air theatre built into a little hillside in a park area of lovely leafy west Raleigh. It's one of the loveliest spots to catch some kind of play, and really reminds "one" of a traditional Shakespeare venue in some small English town, and I should know, because I'm from a small English town. It's spooky here (but safe) at night, and you can do stuff with your significant other, or a random stranger who wants you really badly, without getting caught or seen (or without people caring). In the daytime, it's magical and beautiful and far less creepy or sexy. But either way, it's one of my favourite open air theatres I've ever seen. You should raleigh up all your friends and get out here. My spirits really Rose after spending time in this Garden.

My husband and I have been season ticket holders almost as long as we've been married--18years. Seems these regular date nights may be part of our success. We are continually amazed at the level of talent, beautifully designed costumes and the artist sets. We love the variety of performances, musical comedies tend to be our favorite. From the family series, to City series and the rare performances in the amphitheater, we highly recommend the Raleigh Little Theatre for affordable quality entertainment. It's shocking that volunteers make this happen, along with generous donors and a very small paid staff. The caliber of musical talent is also worth mentioning. We're here tonight seeing Ave. Q. This puppet show for adults was serious humor with a great musical score. Leave the kids at home and take a date, prepare to laugh unless you're too PC to have fun.

One of my favorite little hideaways in Raleigh. The Raleigh Rose Garden and Little Theatre houses some of the most beautiful roses Raleigh has to offer, plus gorgeous areas for picnics and sunshine. My boyfriend and I came here yesterday and the roses were in full bloom, so be sure to visit soon to see them + take really cute insta pics. The garden is located behind Hillsborough St and Cameron Village, so it's right in the middle of a residential area. You can either find street parking or possibly score one of the few parking spots in the theatre parking lot. Plays, movies, and musicals are held throughout the year at both the indoor theatre and outdoor amphitheater, so be sure to keep up with what is playing. They have a summer concert/movie series in the amphitheater that make for a great date night. The garden is dog-friendly and has several areas to lay out a blanket. Or if you're feeling lazy, there are benches throughout the park you can relax at. All in all, this is a really romantic, picturesque garden nestled in the heart of Raleigh, definitely worth visiting on any quiet afternoon.

I just saw the cutest production as part of their family series called Bob Marley's Three Little Birds. My 7 year old daughter loved seeing actors of all ages on stage at Raleigh Lortle Theatre. The audience is invited to join Ziggy and Nansi on a worldly adventure, enlivened by the fantastic songs of renowned Reggae artist, Bob Marley. Not only am I a huge Bob Marley fan, but my little one and I love the performing arts. You get the best of both worlds during this 60 minute performance now showing on stage in Raleigh from March 8-24! Be sure to check the website for special events for example: -Enjoy fresh milk & cookies after the Thursday, March 14 show of Bob Marley's Three Little Birds provided by Insomnia Cookies! and.... -Enjoy the sounds of Jamrock in between Saturday March 16 performances of #ThreeLittleBirdsRLT. Did you know Jamrock was founded in 1995 through the desire of a few Jamaicans to hear authentic music, featuring true "yard style" reggae rhythms, reggae standards, and an authentic Jamaican sound.

We are long time patrons of Raleigh Little Theater! They never disappoint. Last night went to see Curtains and haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Every single actor/actress was on point. The dry humor, the suspenseful, plotline, even had me surprised in the end of this whodunit! Please don't let these low ticket prices fool you. We have seen so many superb performances and amazing stage sets at this little local theater.
