The front desk clerk last night was so helpful. His name was Rocky It is very rare to find someone that will go out of their way to help another person. I travel a lot the only other hotel that is above and beyond is the Marriott in Midland, Texas those front desk boys are wonderful there too. It makes a huge difference

I traveled to Raleigh for a three night business trip. Fortunately, I spent little time in the hotel, as it could have been a better experience. My room was ok -- closer to 2.5 stars than three but my room was clean and that is ultimately what I needed for a business trip. The room included a bed, sofa and work table. Large TV was on the wall but I did not turn it on. It was not luxury but it was fine for a business trip. The bathroom was also clean, but it would really have benefitted from updating. I felt like I was walking into the bathroom that my parents built in their retirement home in Florida in 1990. See the photos and you will see what I mean. The staff were pleasant but lacked any sense of urgency. I needed access to the business lounge -- which is supposed to be open all day and yet was locked -- and I did not gain access for more than an hour after I requested it. I've stayed at three hotels in Raleigh and have not loved any of them. For my next visit, I will definitely be trying hotel number 4.

Rooms are super clean. The hotel decor is updated and modern. The price is reasonable per night. Parking is 22.00 a day. This is the reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Probably one of the worst experiences I have had in a hotel in a while. When we arrived to our first room...there are 2 in total...it had old food in the refrigerator, smelled bad and had plenty of issues in the bathroom. Not to mention the door didn't lock properly. We made our second trip to the front desk to get another room. This one was an upgrade with laminate floors instead of carpet. At this point we were tired from a day of traveling ready for bed and go to shut the lights and rest assured the light attached to the bed frame was broken and just stuck in the on position, directed right at my head. We call the front desk to see if they could send someone up to just disconnect the light or just some tape to hold it in the off position. It's 11pm and after 30 minutes no one came, despite another call to the front desk no success. It was such a mess. We were there for one night and it was dreadful. Upon checkout the next morning they said the front desk took note of all the issues and that a manager would call to try to make it right. They never called. When we called days later we finally got in touch with them and said they would credit me points and it never followed through. It was ridiculous. This hotel is far below the standards of a Marriott property and is in need of some serious upgrades. Do your homework and do yourself a favor and stay at another hotel downtown.

Not a good hotel. The room smells of heavy cigarettes but at least there's a gym and it's in downtown. There is also a hotel bar but they close at 11. The television is also useless since it only has a screensaver that says Marriott. The AC works but I don't think they changed the air filter.

I attended the Southeast Rail Forum #SRF2025 at the Sheraton. Because I live in Raleigh, did not have a room. The event was on a Tuesday and Wednesday. The Oak Forrest Ballroom is excellent. Buffets were set up for breakfast and lunch in the Esplanade in front of the ballroom. There are meeting rooms in the Hanover (Truist) Building which is connected to the Oak Forrest Ballroom and Esplanade via a very cool skybridge. Jimmy V's Ostria & Bar is on the lobby floor. If your planning an event in Downtown Raleigh--this is the place.

I chose the Sheraton hotel in Downtown Raleigh to stay the night before my jury duty service to avoid leaving super early and avoid the morning traffic. I had stayed in this hotel about 20 years before before I moved to the area so was familiar enough with it and it was close enough to walk to the Justice Center. The parking garage is across the street and the hotel and was $22 for the day. The hotel site had said it was $12 a day and the garage had a sign to bring your ticket to the hotel. But I was told they no longer have anything to do with the parking garage as of 10 days ago. If I had known, I would have parked in another garage or lot. Check in was otherwise friendly and helpful. I was not given a welcome gift. I was put on the 17th floor which is the Club Level. I was impressed by the room with all the outlets, some were even in the couch. They had the plank flooring and I could tell it was updated at some point. The bathroom appeared clean and had nice amenities. I also liked that the key card was needed to reach floors 5-17. The ceiling had evidence of water leaks. Then after being in the room for a little bit I heard the noise. At first I thought it was outside and maybe construction or from the event. But it didn't stop when it got dark so it wasn't that. It would go for a bit then stop and start up again. It sounded like a jack hammer. I'm not sure if it was from the AC units or a generator on the roof or something with the vents or pipes. It may have even been the elevator. I'm not sure what it was but it kept me up and I didn't get much if any sleep. The plumbing does not seem to have been upgraded as it took multiple times to get the toilet to flush. I had access to the lounge which was much smaller than I expected with maybe 6 tables and a couch. The lounge was open in the evening and for breakfast. The staff both times were friendly. The morning staff even called to have someone check on the room noise. I have no idea if they looked into it though. Alcohol was available in the evening as well as other beverages and some snacks. They had quiche; muffins; cheese, crackers, fruit and veggies. Breakfast was scramble eggs; bacon; sausage; potatoes; fruit; oatmeal and beverages. Thankfully I did not need to stay another night. I would have moved to another Marriott property if I did.

This was my first time staying at this hotel and it's definitely in a prime location that's accessible to your nearby needs and it's employed with amazing front desk staff that is willing to answer any questions! In addition, to the amazing staff the hotel rooms were impeccably clean.

I just got off a 14 hour flight day and received the best greeting from the desk attendant! Joy's positivity and happiness made checking into the hotel a whole experience! She was quick, she multitasked, she knew every answer before we even asked the questions. Everyone should be a little more like Joy!
