Theater and music lovers, this is the place for you! Performances of the highest caliber, whether it's cabaret type shows or full blown productions, this is where you can see them in an intimate environment. Think Below 54 in NYC, only better. We have seen amazing performers like Stephanie J Block and Norm Lewis and amazing shows like Once, Bridges of Madison County and most recently Waitress. Absolutely everything we have seen here is outstanding. To say that Lauren Kennedy knows how to run a Theater and bring theater lovers what they want is an understatement. Highly recommend keeping an eye on their website for what's coming up next.

Theatre Raleigh is a nice performing arts venue and you can go without driving to Downtown Raleigh. Parking is plentiful and free. Tickets are reasonable as well. The seating does change depending on the show. Besides the shows they have other events but I haven't made it to any of those yet. The lobby typically has live musical acts performing before the shows and there is seating near the concessions that are priced reasonably. Visited this theater for the first time recently. Great little venue! There is a bar and snacks and a little area to the side of that with small tables to watch preshow entertainment (a duo of musicians the night I was there). Bathrooms are clean and adequate, staff is friendly. There isn't a bad seat in the house as it a cozy space. Show, "The Road to Bountiful", started promptly and was phenomenal -- great talent! I'll definitely be back for more events here.

I've only gone to Theatre Raleigh once so far, but I'll definitely be back. I thoroughly enjoyed Peter and the Starcatcher. The set was well-designed and all the actors were fantastic in their roles. It was easy to see the stage and comfortable even though we were sitting for over two hours. The theatre personnel were friendly and welcoming too. Overall, it was an awesome experience.

I recently went on a 'Day Date' with my hubby to catch a matinee of a production at Theatre Raleigh called BARBECUE. We had heard about the show from a newsletter that I received via email from The Triangle Friends of African American Arts , an organization that strives to expand awareness, understanding and support of African American arts and artists. I follow them as well as Theatre Raleigh to stay in the know about upcoming performances! In a post show survey, I gave this show, ticketing & the lobby/bar experience 5 stars! We received an email prior to the show advising what to expect and also our tickets were sent electronically making it simple to just have scanned at the door upon arrival. We both enjoyed the LIVE pre-show music in the lobby courtesy of Colin Yates while sipping on their signature cocktail 'The O'Mallery Intervention' . Every good barbecue has drinks and snacks, so it was good to know that the theater had concessions for its patrons to enjoy in a spacious, beautiful lobby area. Patrons also were able to view and purchase paintings by Burlington, N.C.-painter Derrick Holloway, which will be displayed in the theatre's lobby throughout the run of the show. There's plenty of FREE Parking at Theatre Raleigh also so that deserves a bonus ! All in all it was a great date idea a

Very nice venue! Super intimate, not a bad seat in the house. This was my first time seeing a show at this venue and I had a great experience. The show was phenomenal (Prom), and to be honest I enjoyed it more than I did when I saw it on Broadway. The cast was incredible but I also think the small venue with the great vibes made it extra special. Will definitely come back to see more shows. The staff was super friendly and personable as well. The popcorn is bomb too!
