We were welcomed as soon as as we walked in and seated immediately, so things were off to a good start. This place is quite large, so it never feels crowded. The prices are very reasonable, for a large quantity of food. The downside was the food itself. First, there were no menu items that signal authentic Mexican food (e.g., mole, menudo, chilaquiles, etc.). So it's very Americanized Mexican food. The chicken in my enchilada and RL's chimichanga was dry. The spices in the chimichanga and the enchiladas were almost nonexistent. I'm not always a fan of food that is muy caliente, but I like bland even less. Overall, it was just okay, but again, reasonably priced.

Good food, comfortable patio, dog friendly. Perfect combo for us. We enjoyed lunch here. Queso dip was thick and generous. Husband had the taco/burrito combo and I enjoyed the huevos rancheros. Both were very good and we went home with leftovers. The staff was very accommodating letting us in the back door so we could get the dogs on the patio. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We will be back to try more. Only recommendation to the chef is less salt. We both felt the food was a bit over salted.

Had the #6 combo on 3/25/24 (Taco, Enchilada, Burrito). I took a bite out of my taco and grease literally dripped down my beard. The rest of the plate looked as if someone poured a half cup of fryer grease on it. I asked a server to get a manager, but no one came. I then asked for the combo to be taken off my bill. Twenty minutes later, my server drops off the bill with no corrections. He was avoiding my table at all costs, so I had to track him down at the register to take the item off my bill. They made us sit and wait around thirty minutes total after my wife finished her meal. Customer service was non-existent. I never found out if there was anyone actually in charge. I have never had a plate of Mexican food put together so carelessly. I would never come back to Mayas, there is too many other southwestern options that are better, including fast food.
